He is seems to be solid but then treats you as an idiot and that it is HIS way or NO WAY. He was also wrong so that is an indicator that his way is NOT the best. Keep moving. Also, look at the “hidden reviews” on yelp and other reviews. Shady behavior is all that will say.

As a fellow attorney, years ago I met with Dow regarding a fairly simple matter. I found him to be profane, cavalier, arrogant, self righteous & borderline unethical in attempting to catergorize a retainer as "non refundable". In spite of dealing to represent me, he wanted to keep the retainer. I understand they work hard to win. But as far as keeping people informed, they lack in that. You have to contact them, only to hear the same answer over again. When the agreement is signed, it should not take months to recieve it. Such a sad situation when we have waited since 2018. I have lost most of my family since then. They take a chunck of the settlement and make us wait. I have almost begged to get this over. They say on the website that they care...

they have done a great job writing letters making excuses of why they will not pay on the Pradaxa lawsuit I was told TWO YEARS ago settlement was imminent and now another letter saying there will be no resolution until at least 2023 I can only believe that they are incompetent or (more likely) dragging this out to increase their fees and expenses I wouldnt recommend them to defend a parking citation

Harold is the type of attorney that I wish everyone could experience and have the pleasure of his representation. He is extremely thoughtful, listens to the facts presented him, gives unbiased factual feedback, and represents you with class and dignity. He does not look to gouge the other party (unlike the attorney we faced), and he kept the dialogue civil and professional, despite the challenges one faces in civil litigation where opposing counsel can act quite interestingly.
He managed to extract me from a 25 year marriage in 9 months, with significant assets effectively being split, and only one year of alimony - who could ask for better results than that! Further, he was extremely aware of tax implications of assets being disposed, loss carry forwards and a host of other material items that needed to be incorporated into a resolution and he did so effectively and surgically.
I could not have been asked to be better represented that the job he performed so well for me. He is the kind of knowledgeable person that, regardless of the type of litigation one is contemplating, his professional guidance, thoughtfulness and experience just make him a rare find in this world! And, he is simply a good human being in a world where so many have lost touch with reality. So….My accident happened in August, I waited a day to get a lawyer, it was my first accident. I never been through any legal matters in my life. I’m furious but I can’t waste time I need to find a lawyer, I call 5 law firms and 4 get back to me. The first 3 firms I speak to were almost exactly the same, have me explain my case and have me signed up, so they can start, I was losing hope and I get a call back from Ayme Calderon from Law offices of Michael E. Skiber, she was the first to ask me questions, and to give me insight on how cases like mine work. She answered every question I asked, kept me informed on everything going on, and always explained everything to me so I understand everything happening with my case. I'm a New Yorker and I was involved with a dispute with the ex that involved outrageous child kidnapping charges across state line. I am a parent that lives out of state and had originally contacted Attorney Roper via their website's email system (along with several other attorney offices) to inquire about getting a permanent custody order implemented. Met with Mr. Roper he was very nice but told me he'd charge $1800 for one court appearance that ended up being 45 minutes and then proceeded to tell me I'd lose if my ex showed up. This included $900 for travel time which was only 39 minutes each way from his office. I passed on his generous offer and got it dismissed in court without even having to testify. Glad I listened to my instincts.
