Doug in my opinion is the best criminal attorney in Texas. I've had the experience to obtain him on 2 different occasions an I would hire him for a third time if needed. Hopefully not, but I wouldn't even second guess .

It's a good feeling when you can sit down with a lawyer with several years of experience underneath him & he can look at your case & as long as you're giving him factual information he can give you a list of scenarios to the outcome. Not all cases are the same, although Brian Burns strives to give you the best outcome possible based on your case. "He never once told me the case would for certain be dismissed," although that was one option he mentioned as well as several other options I would be looking at. I feel like he wanted me to know that my case could go in several different directions. So he's very honest.
I provided Mr. Burns with the information he asked in order for him to present the case & he worked his magic. The case was indeed dismissed.
I highly recommend Mr. Burns, not only is he great in knowing his profession & what it takes to represent his clients, but his staff is very supportive if you have questions or need anything as well.

Erica was extremely helpful with helping me get my divorce wrapped up and her pricing was reasonable. Do not under any circumstances hire Jon Parchman. He is worthless and a liar. He refuses to answere emails, texts, or phone calls and does nothing than the absolute bare minimum to handle your case. He completely screwed me over after paying him $8000 and refusing to talk to me or even meet with me before trial dates. He passed me off to another attorney he works with and then they both used Covid as an excuse to never leave their houses or take any mettings. Erica was a breath of fresh air and was always available within a reasonable time frame to answer any and all of my questions. I just wish I had know about her from the start and not wasted all that money on that worthless scumbag Jon Parchman who only made my situation worse. After doing some more research online it looks like that is how this lazy, lying POS always does business.

Guys seriously run away from this attorney, I feel he's no good and doesn't care about you or your family. I also feel he's just as corrupt as alot of the public servants in the State of Texas.
If he's failing to follow the Texas Lawyers Creed, all attorneys and judges are required to follow this, however the law on this has no penalty but merely shows a lack of professionalism, what else he is willing to do unprofessionally?

I had been living abroad for quite a few years and had many dealings with immigration attorneys and almost as many bad experiences. When it came time to apply for my family's American visa's I expected an equally expensive, time consuming run around experience. To my great surprise and relief I can offer the following testimony about Mr. Cate's professional services. He told me what it would cost, how long it would take, what I had to do and what I should expect. When it was all done, he was correct in all of his projections and we did not have to resubmit paperwork or deal with a recall or second, third or fourth trip. He is very thorough and detail oriented and believe me when I tell you if he asks you for a document, no matter how difficult or time consuming it is in getting it, it will save you from pain and suffering in the long run. Guys seriously run away from this attorney, I feel he's no good and doesn't care about you or your family. I also feel he's just as corrupt as alot of the public servants in the State of Texas.
If he's failing to follow the Texas Lawyers Creed, all attorneys and judges are required to follow this, however the law on this has no penalty but merely shows a lack of professionalism, what else he is willing to do unprofessionally?

In 2012 my abusive ex husband kidnapped our 3 month old daughter and left me, a stay at home mom, without a penny to even buy ramen noodles.

I approached the law office of Owens and spoke to Britt Hall this past week, needing assistance with completing the paperwork for my final divorce decree. He was very helpful with advice, legal information regarding the filing of a pro se divorce, issues related to child custody and child support as we already had a case filed with the Office of Atty General, and gave of his time to hear my situation and assist with the need.
