I was recently cited for a moving violation. Being a retired police officer, I knew I had not committed the violation I was cited for, and I also knew that the side of the road was not the place to plead my innocence. I resigned myself to go to court and see if I could have the matter reduced to a non-moving violation. I am currently on chemo and had neither the time nor will, to fight it. I was referred to Ms. Badeaux and through her efforts the citation was dismissed! I highly recommend her and her firm!

My son was charged with very serious drug charges and is from out of state. He was facing many years hard labor prison time. Attorney Fontenot said he could not make any promises. However, he would do his best, be transparent and communicate with us through out the process. During my son's incarceration, his 16 year old little sister died from Cancer. Attorney Fontenot took time away from his family vacation to notify the jail and have him brought out to receive the dreadful news so he could debrief away from others. Attorney Fontenot was extremely patient when explaining the law and processes. No matter how many times I called, texted or emailed he always made himself readily available and answered all our questions with the necessary details for our clear understanding. Attorney Fontenot never gave up fighting for my son and our family. Every single time he went to court for my son he gave it all he had and then some. Michael handled a family law case for me that was hell to say the least. I tried representing myself and was also ripped off by a previous attorney. I presented my case to him with just hopes of being able to speak to my children. The opposing counsel even told Michael there was no shot at me getting my kids. The opposition had painted a false picture of me to the court. Thankfully, Mr. Capdeboscq took my case. After taking Micheals advice, my case was beginning to get easier and I was seeing my children again. Now I have my kids and I feel that none of it could have been done without Micheals help. He always called me to check on me and returned any phone calls promptly. You will not find a more honest or sincere attorney.

It's very stressful when involved in a legal situation - especially when your child is involved. I just recently had an issue arise prior to a custody hearing that has yet to commence. It was a PO that was completely frivolous and had to do with the safety and well being of my child(sexual abiuse). Needless to say I was recommend to Jim by my Family Law attorney whose phenomenal herself. I was told that he was an outstanding attorney, and that he was very good at what he does.
Well I must concur with that, please believe the hype because it is true. He's extremely knowledgeable, a realist, seasoned, a father and very personable man. I felt sooooo comfortable after our initial consult. Yes, there are no garuantees BUT there are approximates in life and Jim was SPOT with what he told me, my situation literally manifested itself like he said it would.
This man knows exactly what he's doing and he's a FIGHTER and very, very, very good one. Trust me when I tell you. Best thing to do is to try him if you need assistance in Family Law or Criminal...I'm not sure what else he practices, but he definitely knows his way around the courthouse. I'm so thankful for what happened today it's just one really big step closer to my daughter like he told me it would be before court. Thanks Jim, I really appreciate your virtue and you know this.

Attorney James E Moorman III represented me in a case against a narcissistic abuser. The other party had more money, an MBA, and previously no problem exploiting the legal system to drain my resources before there could be a settlement in my favor. Jim Moorman put a stop to that immediately. He was very efficient, smarter, apparently knows more laws than other lawyers in town, and had no problem laying that devil down. I absolutely recommend Jim Moorman as optimum representation. In my opinion, there's none better.

I was a father in a desperate situation and needed immediate help to save my kids from an extremely abusive home. This is especially difficult (almost impossible) when the mother is the abuser. The horrible truth is that for a father to obtain custody, the extent of a mother’s neglect and abuse must be immense and the burden of proof required of the father is nearly insurmountable. This lawyer was hired by me for my complicated child custody case. I am a physician and a forgein graduate. I didn’t know the laws when I got a divorce so there were no divorce agreement and my ex is also a physician. I was in residnecy and for fellowship I left my son with my ex but then my ex refused to return him to me so while in Florida I contacted this lawyer seeing reviewed on avvo and hired him. He gave me a lot of hope first the case was to be in Metairie but it got transferred to small city of Thibodaux where my ex husband is and this lawyer did very little work charged me 400 just to drive for final hearing and in that too I just got visitation rights which when I showed to another lawyer told me is all in my exe’s favor. I would not recommend this lawyer he even is taking a long time to withdraw from my case when I requested him to.

Then i was blindsided by an exparte by my ex MIL trying to take my kids from me and spread lies about me to the court and the judge. She went after my character she went below the belt and fought dirty. But when I found Michale Conroy i was a mess, I had no knowledge of what to do or where to start.
