Curtis Bounds handled my child custody case so that I can maintain custody of my grandson bc I knew his mom was still not fit. My wife and I could not be happier and are truly grateful for the services provided by Mr. Joseph Wahl and his staff Lisa and Sophie. We live in Texas and were in immediate need of legal representation for our visitation petition case in the state of Delaware. We reached out to several firms in Delaware but their responses felt somewhat less personal. Mr. Wahl, on the other hand, leaned in to what we had to say and came up with the blueprint of our case shortly after our initial consultation. I am from another state and found myself helpless to protect my child or myself from her father in Delaware, during COVID and Sharon helped me to figure things out that my $350/hr lawyer didn’t speak to me about.

I have been dealing with my custody matter since 2016/2017. I had worked previously with another attorney in my earlier years of Family Court, who I thought was a great experience at the time. After several years of stagnant custody, I tried to work on changing my custody order pro se against an attorney. To say I was destroyed by the system is an understatement. After some time of trying to fight my way back out of my situation, I interviewed with attorneys about my case, at all price ranges. I even met with the attorney in the state that is considered to be “The Best”. Actually, two different attorneys at that same firm. After all of this effort, I came across Vernon Vassallo. I met with him at his office for an interview/consultation. After laying out my case and talking with him for some time, I left his office feeling reassured and that someone actually saw and understood me. Later that evening after meeting with him, I received an email from Mr. Vassallo asking for more information. He stated something I told him about my case just wasn’t sitting well with him. That was the moment I knew, he was the one. He immediately started working on my case, from filings to exhibits. He made sharing information with him so easy, that I even asked him for advice on communication with the other party. Every time he was right there by my side when I needed him. He built an amazing case, he saw things I never would have saw. He brought perspectives to the table I would have never had. He organized everything perfectly and he beautifully prepared our filings, exhibits and case with a nice neat binder to take to trial. As my now ex-wife and I finally decided to end our marriage the idea of searching for a lawyer felt like a completely dreadful process that I was not looking forward to at all. This was not because I wanted to stay married, we both wanted out.

Mr. Hitchings did an excellent job with my divorce and custody case. Had a very complicated custody with multiple children involved and an ex which was very manipulative. Had to go to court multiple times due to the complexity of the custody. If Tim said he was going to do something he did it. He is very straightforward and honest. He gets to know you so he can better understand what needs to be done. He actually cares about everyone involved in the case and wants what is best for all, especially the children involved. He will meet with you as often as need be to make you comfortable before going to court and throughly go over all paperwork involved. I had many,many pages of documents that I had to send to Tim and he went over every email that I sent him and called me on many occasions if something didn't make sense. Bottom line is HE CARES.
