Going through a custody battle can be confusing, exhausting and stressful. Especially, when you find out two months to trial the other side retained an attorney.
I decided it would be best to seek some form of counsel. I was referred to Mr. Tsakataras through another attorney. I immediately called because I had been praying for guidance, and this attorney gave him a stellar recommendation. I did my own research while awaiting the consultation meeting. His reputation was incredible! He has EXTENSIVE experience in custody matters. He has state / federal contracts in the family court system. This man has earned the respect; and you only do that by working hard! So, everything in me said “THIS, is exactly WHO you need to talk to!”
Fast forward to the Monday we were meeting, we ended up rescheduling because an emergency hearing was the following day he had to prepare for. I was timely notified by Steven (his paralegal) and informed of what was going on. How could I even be upset? That’s the type of person you WANT on your team. Somebody who is DEDICATED to your case and will FIGHT to see the best outcome.
Finally, it’s the day of the consult, he called me in a timely fashion; and he let me know how the process works; 50 minutes, i had already sent all my documentation to him- so even though it was via phone; it was as if I was in the office.
He told me the retainer fees, and asked me if I wanted to be prepared, OR, if I would be able to pay the fee. I opted for preparation as trial is set for next month and the fees as a result was going to be very high.
During this consultation, he outlined in details which factors are the factors I should be focused on, how to highlight them, how to present them to court. He gave me valuable information that you really can’t put a price tag on. Once the 50 minutes was up, he did not rush to get off the phone. He made sure I was able to take very detailed notes, giving me dates, telling me how to get things admitted into court and before the judge.
I feel very confident in my case, however, he has made my confidence level boost while fright of the attorney has diminished.
I 110% recommend this attorney and I am so glad I had the opportunity to speak with him. It’s evident that he cares a lot more about the people he HELPS than he does about the money; I can only pray he continues to have great success in all paths of his life and continues to be blessed.

I had a long pending Divorce case from international court outside of USA. My ex is very vindictive and crazy about money and has been harassing me and my family for over 4 years without agreeing for a Divorce. My lawyers from my hometown have been greedy for money and just minting money from us for 4 years but making no progress in the case.
I approached Ms.DiScuillo for legal advice, if I can file my case in USA courts and what are my possible options so i can move ahead with my life.
She was very patient, knowledgeable and focused on the goal of the case to get me a divorce. She was not at all money minded and I was relieved I found a great lawyer who really cared about her clients and just there to collect fees. Though Ms. DiScuillo was not familiar with my hometown laws/courts, she took great interest in educating herself and perform the right research.
Ms. DiScuillo approached my lawyers back home to find a solution to my complicated case and also hired investigators to get as much information as she could.
Ms. DiScuillo was very very approachable, considerate and definitely there to protect/fight for her clients and not for money sake only.
I would highly recommend her to anyone who have stuck with cases in life for years and want to move on with a true legal advise beneficial for the clients.

I would NOT recommend this law firm. Lawyer was unprepared for trial. Spent hours on the phone padding his bill to do trial readiness than didn't ask 80% of the question talked about; even asked the wrong questions to us. He was not vocal in the trial and barely payed attention to our answers. The other lawyer mopped the floor with him. Never got our case across. Than received an enormous bill...travel & expenses. I would rate him in the negatives if I could.

On my recent closing I found the attorney to be very competent and friendly. My complaint is about how I couldn’t get the attorney to call me when I found out I, the buyer, was paying some of the broker commission. I wanted to know how common that practice was in Delaware. Instead I had a paralegal tell me how great my broker was and how many deals they do with him. I also wanted to know when the language about my new found obligation had appeared in the CD. Nothing, just crickets from this law firm.

Megan Rush Walstrom successfully finalized my divorce a few weeks ago. Initially I was really hoping that my ex and I could complete our divorce by filing for an 'uncontested divorce' and avoid having to hire attorneys to represent us. However we unfortunately we could not reach an agreement when it came to a custody schedule for our two minor children. So I begrudgingly began my online search for an experience family law attorney in my area. I was able to speak to a handful of lawyers, but Megan was the unequivocally the person that I felt most comfortable with and had the most confidence in. Throughout my divorce proceedings, I was so impressed with Megan's compassion, courtesy, attention to detail and prompt replies to any questions that I had. Megan is also blessed to have an incredibly hard working and dedicated support team that I would regularly communicate with through email regarding my case. In the end, the terms that Megan was able to successfully achieve for me in my divorce settlement agreement far exceeded what I had hoped for. The legal expenses were worth every penny because I view it as an 'investment' - an investment in my relationship with my two sons, which is priceless.

After calling and having an initial consultation with Mitch, I sent the requested documentation that his office asked for. I then inquired as to when they would get back to me. Two weeks went by without a response. I called his office again and talked to their front desk personnel in which they verbalized that Mitch would call me. This did not happen. I did receive an email from a paralegal in which she was polite and conveyed accessibility via email. Again this was not the case. I emailed this individual three or four times and got ZERO replies. I then called their office again and talked to the woman at the front desk and what she stated was that Mitch would call me. This did not happen. It's been 4 weeks and this office has not returned my phone calls responded to my emails or reached out to consult me on my case. I don't even know how much I'm supposed to pay for the retainer because the office has not communicated such information to me even after signing a retainer. This office is unprofessional and irresponsible. ABSOLUTELY NO FOLLOW-THROUGH!!! This was my experience and is my opinion.

I hired Kara Swasey for a high conflict custody case.
I don’t even know where to begin to thank Kara and her team for advocating for my son and I. She had hard shoes to fill as my previous attorney retired, but she surpassed all expectations.
She has an organized, professional, and honest approach at trial. She can problem solve quickly and always keeps her composure. I retained Mrs. Hopkins to represent me in a complex custody case, where I was seeking relocation. She was able to reach a settlement for us that was almost exactly the same arrangement I had proposed to the opposing party. Stephen is the worse lawyer in the world! He made several mistakes in the petition. First he claimed in the document my ex was pregnant even though he’d seen her and knew she wasn’t pregnant and I told him she wasn’t pregnant. Second, he failed to submit my parenting certificate, which led to my divorce petition being dismissed. Oh, he also doesn’t communicate, doesn’t listen, talks too much about chess and spends his whole time bragging about his abilities. He’s the definition of toxic masculinity. Oh do I regret going to him! Grrrrr!
We went to court and the dude just accepted whatever the opposing counsel says. Save your money and your time. Get a better lawyer.
