Counselor Brand is a very competent, very professional attorney. After having a free, very thorough initial consultation with him, he immediately got to work on my case, meeting with the prosecutor at my dispositional hearing (which, only two days away, and thanks to his representation, I didn't even have to attend), and that very same day HAD ALL THE CHARGES DISMISSED!
I simply couldn't recommend Scott any more highly. A very thoughtful, intelligent who GETS RESULTS ... fast.
If you're case is in North Dakota or Minnesota, you could not be better served by anyone else than Mr. Brand.

Scott Brand is an honest lawyer who is worth many times more than his retainer. I was not at first not satisfied by the rural lawyers I came across in McKenzie county or that came up by sponsored links on Google. I found Scott by going to the prosecutor's office in another town, Dickinson, and asking for a private criminal lawyer that they would reccomend. At first I was shocked that the reccomendation to the lawyer was all the way in Fargo. I called him and he agreed to meet with me when I was passing through. At first I was a bit uneasy that the office was 6 hours away from the county in which I was facing charges, but this is normal for North Dakota. I am so glad that I went to Fargo instead of responding to the lawyers out there in that corner of North Dakota. My brother and I went to Scott's office one time and he was courteous and more than professional. Because I live in France, all of the contact was done over phone, mail, or e-mail from this point onwards. A week after this meeting, Scott gained access to the bodycam footage of the officer and it was clear that this was a civil rights violation. The prosecutor still rejected this argument, despite the fact that everything was on camera. Scott drafted some sort of long, complex legal document that was based in North Dakota state case history to fight my case. When he actually appeared in court to defend this document, the prosecutor and police officer were still tenacious. The judge threw out the case, however, and issued a written ruling entirely in agreement with Scott. I got back the entirety of the bail money that I paid to the county and more importantly I have my life back. If I had had to go on probation in North Dakota, who knows what type of problems this would have caused me later on. His retainer is totally worth several times over what he charged. He made it so I never had to appear in court in any hearing or as a witness, so that I did not have to return from France, which would have easily cost several thousand dollars per appearance. For a lawyer, Scott is more than honest. He doesn't overpromise. I felt reassured throughout the whole course of several months. I really don't envision that other lawyers might have been able or even dedicated such an amount of hard work to beat the charges. I don't have a great opinion of lawyers in general and I'm not sure that the other lawyers I had consulted would have not just taken my money and then advised me to take a plea deal to finish everything as fast as possible.

I’m not one to hop online and write a review about someone, but when your best friend has been represented by the BEST in the business, you let others know. Mike Gjesdahl is that attorney.
Approximately one year ago, my friend needed to find someone to represent her as she went through a challenging divorce. We were looking for someone who is whip smart when it comes to family law and divorce proceedings. Other attorneys pointed us toward Gjesdahl Law so we knew she would get a top-knotch lawyer. What we didn’t expect were all the “extras” that made her experience exceptional.

Ms. Brazil represented me in the past, and when I had a motion filed against me for modification of parenting time she agreed, on short notice, to represent me again. Ms. Brazil helped right away, even though she was busy with other cases. A hearing was scheduled on her vacation week and Ms. Brazil represented me in court while on vacation.

We used this law firm for my stepdaughter adoption. We had Kari A. Losee as our attorney. Very professional and made this transition very painless. While we was around 5 months to completion it was done 98% over the phone and email. Which was very good seeing we live 6 hours away. I retained Jeff Bredahl in a case that I needed an attorney who knew their stuff and was certain and knew they would win my case. From the moment I walked in he told me right away, we got this case. I will never forget how during the 5-6 months during the whole process, Jeff and his team were always there for me. During the process Bredahl and Associates were the only ones there for me. You definitely were not just a client. He also keeps everything short and to the point of what you need. He doesn’t try to just get money out of you like other attorneys. During my trial, which was 3 days long, he stood out and did and AMAZING and outstanding job! After receiving my non guilty verdict, I had numerous jurors come up to me and say whatever you paid for your attorney was well worth it, I’ve never seen an attorney so good and prove their case like he did. I wanted to write a review about how great the lawyers and the law firm were so helpful and comforting.
I never had to go through anything like this before so it was pretty terrifying at first. But every time I went and talked with my lawyers they made me feel better about the case the had answers immediately about every question I had. They were extremely knowledgeable about everything with the laws and divorce processes. I know this because of the my ex-spouse's lawyer made her feel. and the confidence I had when I saw the way they conducted them selves.
Every time I started getting worried about the case all I had to do was call my lawyers and immediately I got a response and the answers I was looking for. It made me feel great Confident and extremely knowledgeable about the divorce procedures.
They had a way of making me feel like a person not just another casce. I have heard of so many people having a bad experience with their lawyers. I cannot say that about my lawyers or thank them enough for what they've done for me. I feel that they went above and beyond what any other lawyer would've done.
I know this because of me being way more informed than the other side. When I say way more informed that's an understatement. I'm not very good at writing reviews and all this sort of stuff but. please believe me when I say these lawyers are Great at what they do. At the end of all this I highly recommend them for their services.
And I will use them again if anything comes up.

William Wischer did a fantastic job in handling a very complex case. The case itself started very disadvantaged because of incorrect prior legal advice from a different attorney. William pulled the case back out with sound advice and an unfailing dedication his integrity as a practitioner.
What this meant is that William did not overreact to news, made sure that I did not focus on the wrong things, and followed up with every need and request necessary to build a strong case. The complexity of this case pulled out all the stops - counselors and their subpoenas, psychologists, parental investigators, and loads of email/text/audio files. The adversary in this case was extremely willing to lie, manipulate, deceive and misrepresent at any and every turn making the job that much harder as every piece of evidence had to be undeniable. William guided me through the process to get my kids back to safety after a very emotionally and physically abusive process, despite the difficulty in North Dakota's laws on corporal punishment.
Day-to-day, I could rely on William to return calls or emails if new information came up. I didn't have to keep on him to follow up with counselors or get processes started. I didn't have to keep him engaged as he did that entirely on his own. He put in a lot of effort to make sure we were the driving force in the case rather than our opponents. Once William took the reigns, I saw a very big difference in how things were turning out and the opposing attorney started handling himself much more poorly.
William was given every bit of information and evidence I had - I did not withhold anything and I made sure he could trust me in this case. In doing so, WIlliam honored the client-attorney relationship and brought my matter to a successful close exceeding a lot of expectations. He is very confident in the court room and although this case did not go to trial, he was very ready to handle it and did handle other matters building up to the settlement within the courtroom very well.
If you are looking for a strong attorney who will put in the effort to make your case a success, William will take care of it. Do yourself a favor and do not lie or withhold information, nor should you seek inappropriate advantages. William is very aware of the court's opinions and line of thinking and you will not do yourself nor your case's any favor by putting any attorney at that disadvantage. I believe William has enough integrity not to let you anyways, but if you have a strong case then William will help you win without resorting to the low levels that your opponent might.
Be confident that William and his colleagues at Gjesdahl law are around to fight for you, should you seek them out.

William was amazing. He was so real with me and very punctual. I had a previous lawyer before I hired him and she did nothing for my case for a whole year. as soon as I hired William he took over, he went to work and my case was happily settled within a few months without having to go to court. Tatianna Hackman was with Ohnstad Twichell for a few years. When I was served papers I hired her right away to take over my case. Within a month she left the law firm without notifying me. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, so when I found out she went to ABST law I had reached out to request for her again. I got transferred to her voicemail. I have left her two voicemails . Don’t expect her or ANYONE to return your calls or your voicemails. Emailed her TWICE and have not received a response back either. Called again and asked for Krista Andrews, spoke to her directly and asked if I could schedule a consultation with her. Had my case number for her at the top of my head—she cut me off and said “go online under my bio and send me an email” this was 5 days ago—have not gotten a response. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
