My Anukem and her firm kept me up to speed on the case and let me know that I was in the drivers seat. Ms. Otieno is extremely knowledgeable and upfront . Listen to her ! and you will be successful. There where times when I was a little aggravated and even offended by her statements . But she forces you to turn the mirror on yourself which is often needed in child custody cases . I just wish I had hired her years ago instead of going through so many other attorneys .

Ten years ago, I needed an attorney to handle my separation and divorce. I knew at the time that it was going to be very difficult and tumultuous. I asked around family and friends for recommendations. A neighbor of mine highly recommended Alan Levenstein of Houlan and Berman. She had been through a very complex and contentious divorce and was very happy with the services that Alan had provided. With that, I decided to have Alan represent me. It was a great decision! My situation, like many others, consisted of the opposing party who wanted everything plus more that they could get. Through Alan’s very capable hands, he was able to minimize the financial impact to myself. Alan skillfully negotiated and crafted a settlement agreement that was optimal, safe, fair overall and most important that provided financial protection if my circumstances should change. As time progressed and my circumstances changed, Alan was able to craft and negotiate a modification to the original agreement. Recently, as my circumstances changed again, Alan was able to craft and negotiate a buy-out of my settlement for a very significant amount less than what my full-term payout would have been on the original settlement. I am thrilled! It’s all over and behind me! Alan did a masterful job. Throughout the process, Alan was able to counsel and guide me through numerous interrogatories and deposition. Numerous times, he coached me and calmed me down especially when he sensed my anger or despair. He made me focus on the task at hand and reigned me in when I felt overwhelmed. Alan is very professional, very organized and a very effective communicator. He made sure throughout that we were on the same page. Alan is very straight forward and he efficiently gets to the point of matters. Most importantly, if something was not black and white, he stated as such. Getting a divorce is not an easy thing. It is emotionally draining and sometimes it can be financially draining as well. I never thought that I would ever need a divorce lawyer. When the need came, I didn't know what to do. I found Danels & Ladieri online. I looked through many lawyers before settling on them. I am extremely happy that I did. Mike Danels listened to me during my first meeting (I was a mess). He listened and then told me what was best (and least expensive) for my case. I went with mediation, but Mr. Danels was behind me every step of the way, and some. He looked at my settlement papers, advised me on so many other administrative things. I had an extremely good mediator, but I also had a very good lawyer, solely dedicated to my interests. He was there to represent in court. I don't wish divorce on anybody, but if you find yourself in that situation; don't hesitate to reach out to them. I know I sound like an infomercial, but he helped ensure that I would be secured in my old age and all that without acrimony. That is the thing, civility and dignity was maintained during the whole process. Thank you, Mr. Danels.

He charged me $4000 for a cease and desist (C&D) letter, billed $125 for going to the post office to send the letter, as well as $200 for two attempts to call our former employee. The C&D letter itself was unprofessional. After hiring another attorney, the difference in quality was clear. I feel that I just wasted my time and money.
If you are an employer, I do not recommend this office for handling any non-compete or non-solicitation cases.
