Amanda and Mickey Gentle are two of the most compassionate attorneys I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Amanda took over my case, because my first court appointed attorney knew my ex-in-laws, in April 2021, she immediately saw errors that were made that my past attorney did not catch. She was very understanding, she had no problem going to Mickey when she had a question or needed assistance (her husband is her partner at Gentle Law Firm, he has over 20 years experience while Amanda has 3 years experience), and they both really took the time to get to know me, my family, and our situation. They were more than “just my attorney”. I would HIGHLY recommend this amazing team to anyone. If I ever need an attorney for anything I will most definitely hire Amanda and Mickey Gentle!

I hired Jordan Butler for a grandparents visitation case. I had raised my granddaughter for most of her life and we had a strong and loving relationship. I had been a constant presence in her life since birth, supporting her emotionally and financially so I was blindsided to learn that there is no such thing as grandparents rights in Alabama; however, Jordan took my case. From the beginning Jordan had to navigate not only the father’s multitude of false allegations but also Alabama Family Law and the emotions of a grandmother’s heartbreak and fear. While preparing for trail, many times, he had to rein me in because I was so sure all we needed was my truth. If you don’t hire Robin, well you already lost your case. She and her team are the exception when it comes to dealing with extremely complex cases. The previous attorney dropped the ball and Robin came in and cleaned up a mess we thought was un repairable. Robin, Kristal, and Jackie are in 100% and have compassion for their clients. My wife and i recently used Sharon's firm to prepare our wills (estate and living). It was an outstanding experience from start to finish. We first spoke with her about our desires, she prepared the will, and then sent it to us for review. We each added our personal words to the will, and then sent them back. She incorporated our additions and we signed. It was too easy.
Sharon made the experience simple, straightforward, and convenient. I was impressed with her professional approach, and the explanations she provided during the process to insure that we understood every sentence. She also asked questions about things we had not considered, and made sure nothing was left to chance. Very professional.
This is the second time Sharon has helped our family, and I cannot say how much I admire her professionalism and the human touch she brings to her practice. All the negative reviewers here are spot on. She did not fight for us, and toward the end she dropped our case, two weeks before trial. She didn’t transfer all pertinent information to the new lawyer she chose, and we lost poorly. I still don’t have custody of my child. She was appointed to me I didn’t hire her. I am not an addict or a violent offender or anything of the sort. I was hospitalized and my child was stolen from me because I got sick. I am well and have been for over 4 years, but she made it near impossible for me to get what me and my child deserve. Adequate time together along with loss of custody. For what seems now will be permanent. As others have stated, she allowed the opposing parties attorneys to dominate the case and courtroom with the lawyer. She dropped my case two weeks before trial. She was an emotional mess the entire time we met, she can not do her job effectively. Find someone else.

Would definatly recomend using John as your lawyer. He told me what he could do in my situation and did all that he said. I had FTAs for traffic violations that could have caused me to go to jail and affected my probation in another county. He was able to get me a new court date and handled all requirements before i ever showed up to court. I was even 1st and and 1st out in court because of his dilligently work and was able to avoid sitting in jail over a missed court date. Couldnt have asked for a better outcome.

I have consulted with Maureen Cooper for two different issues related to divorce and alimony . In the past , the thought of consulting with any attorney was one associated with fear and dread . I have had contact with lawyers in the past who had no genuine desire to help me quickly resolve a problem or to provide straight answers . I had never consulted with an attorney who genuinely wanted to earn the respect and trust of others as much as he wanted to take advantage of my problem for his own profit .
Ms. Cooper is a rare gem because she is competent , straight forward , not manipulative and earnest in her desire to assist people and not exploit their problems to advance herself in an unfair way . She is a good person , and if someone needs an attorney they can trust who will not take advantage of them , she is the first person to call . I hold her in high esteem and feel thankful to know an attorney of her caliber in competence and human decency .

I went to my first disability hearing without a lawyer and the judge there told me that I should not try to handle my hearing alone. I talked to a few people in the area who do this work, but Mr. Forsyth went above and beyond to be helpful and give me all the info I needed, even before I hired him to handle my case. Mr. Forsythe was extremely adept at fielding the process of filing for disability. He is professional and unbelievably patient however I feel it’s best to mention that he is most of all, honest.
He always was upfront about the process and didn’t give me false hope. He managed expectations and kept me in the loop every step of the way. He returned countless emails and called each time he had an update. I’d have been lost without his guidance and wisdom.

Ended up with a horrible settlement after being assured that wouldn’t happen and paying a huge amount of money. First i want to say Lee Nation is a nice person. But he is a NOT a good lawyer, definitely not a strong lawyer. I am writing this to protect others from choosing an incompetent lawyer to ruin their cases. He does not prepare, he does not respond calls and emails promptly and most of time even ignore them. His answers are inconsistent and misleading. And he gave wrong legal advices. He read my documents only 11 PM at the night before the trial. His mind was not present at the trial. He was passive and did not fight. It was a waste of money, but it was also the source of stresses. I do not recommend him. Take time and be patient and find a good lawyer who does the work you pay for and fight for you.
