Was referred to Ritu and her team at a time when I desperately needed legal counsel. My review is for Dawn Marie White. Is there a zero stars option? You should hire her if you like to be misunderstood, talked down to, and ignored, all while paying her handsomely. Dawn Marie is not competent for the position she is in. She is currently a court appointed parenting coordinator, to help with making timely decisions about parenting that would otherwise go to court. My ex and I pay her the price of a normal lawyer so that we don't clog up the court over something the judge sees as frivolous (A FATHER'S PARENTING TIME IS NOT FRIVOLOUS). That would also take forever and then there'd be no decision due to it being a moot point, water under the bridge. So far I've paid Dawn Marie White $5000 and literally all she's done is tell me what she's not going to do. My $5000 retainer is gone and there are zero court orders or official decisions that came of it. Now she wants me to pay her more and she's ignoring me until I do, I assume.
When we first met, she wanted to meet via video call and then she made us turn our camera on but she left hers off. I should have known she'd be horrible from the first meeting. Since then I've just asked for equity in parenting time for things like dividing school holidays evenly. Currently, we go by the IPTG which does not divide the non-school days fairly between the two parents in my school district. There are administrative leave days and snow make up days that serve as holidays to the children, but those all go to the mother because the IPTG doesn't mention those days. When I asked Dawn Marie to do something about it and give me half the days that the children are out of school, she said she'd make decisions on a case by case basis (code for "I'm piecemealing your billable time so I can charge you more and deplete your retainer faster"). Then when I asked her at the time when the children were going to be out, she said it was too late and that I should have asked earlier. So yeah...buyer beware.

I truly appreciate the work that Carman did for me. I was skeptical at first because of some off putting reviews but I’m glad I followed my heart.
Carman is VERY responsive, professional, respectful and does a thorough job explaining the law.
Yes, her personality is direct and she isn’t “warm and fuzzy” and that is ok, it’s who she is. I believe her no-nonsense approach is what makes her amazing at her craft. Previous attorneys that I hired could never answer my questions and seemed to become intimidated by my ex (who naturally has a very strong, authoritative and sometimes aggressive presence), one even told me she didn’t want to call him any more. There was never a doubt in my mind that Carman could match whatever energy he gave her. She listened to me, advised, executed and got the job done.
I would hire her over and over if I needed to while resting assured business would be handled. That’s all that matters.

My case was out of Hamilton County and anyone that knows anything about that county knows its very hard to win a case in that district. Carman took her time and studied my case and studied the case laws and did absolutely whatever was necessary to get the results we wanted and needed. My case took over 2 years but we won and all charges were dropped. You can't rush perfection and Carman took her time to make sure the ball was in our court in every aspect of my case. She will always be my number 1 recommendation if you have any type of legal issue or custodial issue. Thanks again Carman and God Bless!!!

I personally would never use them again. Very unprofessional. They sent the wrong client name to the opposing party. They sent the first "rough" draft of a document to the opposing party. In which they should have never seen. It was just sloppy work and not great at communication.

It was a pleasure working with Immigration for Couples. Our immigration situation was more complex than normal. They made us feel at ease, and provided excellent guidance on how to approach it. That goes to show they have experience. Immigration for Couples were very attentive, if you had a question, they would respond to you right away. Aaron has became more than a lawyer for me. He and his staff have treated me like I was part of there family. Always responsive to any issue that came up in a timely manner. Would reach out to me on weekends when I needed him the most. I wanted to settle for a lot less, but not Aaron. Aaron truly cared about me and my future. I will always be grateful to him. I am only able to write this review because David Jordan took the time & put in the effort to show the courts that I was worthy of a second chance. He was honest with me from the beginning & never sugar coated anything, but at the same time gave me hope. I put my trust in his skills & the outcome of my case was better than I ever thought possible. He not only fought for me, he took the time out to get to know me & my family at the most difficult time in my life. He’s the only attorney I would EVER recommend to anyone fighting a criminal case in Wayne County.

This place does not deserve even a single star. These people are one step above criminals. I loaned my daughter the money to pay them for a retainer. They took the money in bad faith. They were informed at the very first meeting before the retainer was given that there was a possible conflict of interest. They claimed it was not an issue. They then immediately filed a continuance delaying my daughter's court case. That's fine, they needed time to prepare. But then the next court date came along and they filed another continuance without even informing my daughter they were going to do so. She showed up for court only to find that her case had been continued by her attorney who didn't even bother to show up. Then, when she contacted her attorney she was told that they could not represent her because of the very conflict of interest she had informed them about in the first visit. Now, they will not return her considerable retainer even though they did nothing whatsoever for her but remotely file two separate continuances. They never appeared on her behalf, never drafted any other motions, never defended her against the many trivial complaints her ex's attorney keeps throwing at her. They referred her to two places they had to know weren't going to work and she can't use anyway because they won't give her money back and are now avoiding her calls. They have left my daughter in a worse situation than she was in to begin with. She's getting no help from legal aid and I can't afford to help her again.
Congratulations. You've managed to take advantage of and further victimize a domestic violence victim. Do the right thing and give her her money back. You know you didn't earn it.
