This attorney represented my children in my child custody case. He was standoffish but thou rough when interviewing me as a parent. Most importantly, was extremely thorough and diligent interviewing, investigating, and representing the kids in court. This is an attorney that knows his law, and represents "old school". He was a force to be respected and appreciated.

I did feel my case was given the time it deserved. At first meeting Phil was very attentive and ready to help. As we started, the amount communication was less than desired. I felt I was in large part ignored and pushed to agree to a parenting plan at the very last minute. I would not use him again.

It is a shame it has taken me more than a decade to find a law firm that knows the law, operates in a top-caliber manner, and treats the client like a human. I have had a couple of attorneys at Hale, but the one who helped us the most was Suzanne. Not only is she a bomb a** attorney, but she also knows how to handle and run a business, be classy, and professional, and have customer service. I appreciate her no-frills approach to handling cases and client situations.
She keeps a client-centered approach and looks out for everyone's best interest. Attorneys are indeed expensive but Suzanne makes sure the money spent on your case is allocated in a manner that does not leave your account on zero or paying unnecessary fees. She believes in transparency, honesty, and integrity; which is rare when an attorney is involved in difficult cases. She understands that the way she is represented in and out of the courtroom is a reflection of her business and there is not a time that she does not take her work seriously. The few times we had to speak with her on the phone, she has always been patient and attentive while listening closely to our concerns. She is very responsive and treats the attorney-client relationship as an important investment. You are not just a number to her, but a human. Should I ever need an attorney again, I will hire them again in a heartbeat. To all who work at Hale, we appreciate you. This place is scandalous. I called to merely get information. I was transferred to a female lawyer who told me to tell her about my case. She didn’t even let me finish before she cut me off to say they won’t take the case. She also confirmed they handle little to no malpractice cases so I asked why they appear at the top when searching malpractice lawyers. I told her, if you don’t handle malpractice then that is misrepresentation of services. She really got upset and hung up on me for merely making a comment.
She also confirmed they only take cases where they KNOW a settlement is coming.
I’m more concerned with the level of disrespect from this office. Even their receptionist was ignorant. What kind of law office is rude to people?
Lawyers are NOT allowed to misrepresent their services or mislead people in any way. Those google results are more than misleading, it says ‘we handle these type of cases’ when I’m reality they do not. As a software developer myself I know this was done on purpose. I know exactly what is needed to appear in google search results. They would not appear in malpractice results if they did not put it in their title or headers on their pages. They clearly have malpractice somewhere with in their website either in a title element or headers. Google literally scrapes the pages for such data lol.

Carl Mueller was excellent. He stood up to the work comp insurance and got both surgeries I needed. I was always able to contact him with questions or problems that had arisen any time during the 2 years. He fought and and I received the monetary damages I deserved. I would recommend Edelman & Thompson to anyone.

I have contacted numerous law firms, and unfortunately, this particular firm does not handle cases like mine. However, I must express my gratitude for the exceptional kindness and assistance provided by the lady who answered my call. Her demeanor stood out in stark contrast to the previous thirty calls I had made. I even spoke with a prominent firm that does handle my type of case, but I would not recommend them under any circumstances. Although I am uncertain about the types of cases they specialize in, I can confidently say that if their other staff members are as helpful as the lady I spoke with, then anyone seeking legal assistance would be in capable hands. Once again, I extend my sincere appreciation.

Judge for yourself, which reviews are true and which are people who have sour grapes, which may be of a personal nature and clearly malicious. They don’t talk about their case. They don’t talk about the results they just attack. And that’s unfortunate. I spent 30 years giving heart and soul blood sweat and tears to the profession I was grateful and privileged to serve. my record speaks for itself,
And, it is truly sad that two years after some health problems, caused me to slow down and not take new cases. That people felt the need to post, false, malicious, and hateful reviews on every format they could find these are people who never built anything or never create anything or never attain a professional degree and you never communicated any complaints if they ever clients. Judge for yourself. True reviews give details of the matter and relate the experience I had in factual terms, not conclusions. But it’s not my job to judge. Nor would I violate the sanctity of the confidential information related to representation. What I can tell you is after being harassed, threatened, and attacked by an imbalanced person that clearly needs help, I am not angry, but concerned and have compassion for those who seek to tear down because of their own issues.
Thankfully, my health has improved, but after 30 years of giving my best, working 20 hour days more often than one should, and caring about each and every client ….that the time for me to endure misplaced and malicious attacks…ended. While many of the families that I was privileged to assist still reach out to coax me to take up their cause, I will not. When those in need of mental health care attempt to cause harm to my family, they must expire in their own negative energy. And, be grateful that I chose not to wield the sword of justice and rebuke their attempts to harm. After all, what is the sound of one hand clapping.
Last, thank you to thousands of clients that I was so honored to assist. For 30 years, I lived the motto when you love your job you will never “work” a day in your life. So true, it was true gift to be able to say “I can help” and then exceed the expectations of decent folk. So, thank you! Life is an amazing journey and it’s magnificently imperfect.

Em would you mind contacting us. We have our own horrible experience with this Lawyer.
We are over $25,000 into it with Zero results!! He will not show where the money has gone. He won’t show up to court and acts as if he is overwhelming put out by be being asked ANYTHING about the case IF you can actually make contact with him. Maybe he was a good Lawyer at one time but experience is that he is a scam artist.

I am very dissatisfied with how my case was handled. After finally reaching an agreement with the opposing counsel, they refused to honor the agreement. Unfortunately, Mr O'Connor did nothing to see that the agreement was honored; he made absolutely no effort on my behalf. This could have been resolved in my favor during the final court hearing however, Mr. O'Connor did not bother to show up in court that day for the hearing.
In addition to mishandling my case, Mr. O'Connor's behavior toward me was utterly repugnant. While we were preparing for the hearing, Mr. O'Connor was extremely impatient and condescending. When I hired him I told him that I had never been in court before and had no idea what to expect. Rather than explain what the Judge's expectations would be, how best to answer questions, and walking me through the process, he belittled me and even yelled at me. Mr. O'Connor turned a situation that was stressful and upsetting to begin with into a complete nightmare.

Casey stepped in to represent me in my divorce after a total failure by my previous attorney. My divorce was an absolute mess. Ugly in every way; from child custody, assets, abuse allegations, orders of protection cases, unpaid child support. There were a lot of facets involved. Casey navigated them all, not only with knowledge and personal care for me but efficiency and quickness. My divorce was sitting in limbo for almost a year, and he jumped in and drafted motions right away. I cannot recommend him enough. He is a hard fighter and a very caring attorney. I literally will not trust anyone else with future legal handlings.

I feel as though I was wrongfully arrested for a DUI. I am a pretty boring mom who never goes out and had not had a drink in years. A friend came from out of town and for the first night in years I took her out in KC, had 1 drink, than drank water for about 2 hours, grabbed a bite to eat, and about 3 or 4 hours after my one drink got in the car and forgot to turn on my headlights and got pulled over by a thirty to arrest DUI officer. He did three field sobriety test and I lost my balance on the walk, the last test, due to nerves/anxiety (was shaking), it was on an elevated surfaces and a uneven cracked sidewalk. He arrested me and gave me a PBT which I easily passed but still insisted I was under the influence. I called many lawyers and many stated that many prosecutors are hard on DUI’s due to MAD and even though it seemed straightforward we likely would have to go to trial. I looked up Denise and was impressed by her credentials but once I talked to her I knew she was hands down the one I wanted to hire. She was confident in her abilities and what she would be able to do for me. I could have gotten a cheaper lawyer but I she was well worth the extra I had to spend to get representation that would fight for me. Denise was able to get charge completely dismissed. It is disappointing that you can do everything right and still get wrongfully arrested by someone stacking up cases but thankful for people like Denise who are able to represent people when they feel like the odds are stacked against them.
Denise, thanks for everything you did to represent me and get my case dismissed. I shouldn’t never need another DUI lawyer but would/will recommend you, hands down!

I got charged with a DWI in September, 2022. I hired Denise Kirby and she started by calling me and getting all the information she needed from me asap. She was very impressive with how she handled the case and she constantly kept me in the loop with what was going on. After watching the video of my arrest, she filed for a motion to suppress and won that, which resulted in the case being dropped. She came to court incredibly prepared and had a counter for everything the prosecutor said. Overall, watching Denise handle this case was very impressive and I would highly recommend her to anyone in this situation.

Be very wary of this practice! Katie and Anthony give the illusion that they have perfect families. They do not and are cheaters and in a relationship together. His wife caught them in the act while they were at their office! Zero stars is not an option.

Anthony and Katie were extremely professional and meticulous when handling my case for the past 21 months. Due to their dedication to my child (her best interests) and the evidence they presented at trial, I succeeded at getting the parenting plan necessary for my daughter’s highest good. I know exactly where I would be without the aid, advice, and counsel they provided and am beyond glad I decided to follow my first mind and hire Moreno Law, to handle this case for my baby girl and I. I can’t lie, these past 2 years were a nightmare, no one should want to go this route; but you must understand that at times this route is absolutely necessary when advocating for what is best for your child and yourself. This attorney knows how to use you just for your money. My case was solely in regards into pleasing one parent and not the child. Totally got jacked by the attorney and the other person on specific paternity case and the child misses or loses out both bad for the child. I wouldn't even give a star. Kids lives matter. To start the legal assistants are super rude, they get mad when u call for updates they are not helpful, there was a lot of mistakes made since the beginning with the paper work which delayed the whole process, and then my dad got rejected due to uscis stating the medical report was incomplete, which the lawyer said that the law stated he did not need that part of the physical so she suggested we do motion to reconsider and then we were told the motion was Sent to the wrong place , and then every time we tried calling to get an update the assistants would be rude and they would tell us we needed to stop calling, we were obviously worried bc it kept getting rejected for mistakes that lawyer was suppose to take care of, and when we tried to get an explanation by the lawyer ( Angela) she literally told us she did not know what happened she could not explain, and then she told us that we needed to stop calling and wait until she called us, she was super rude and told us we could just get another lawyer, when we kept asking for an explanation about why it got rejected or why it said it was sent to the wrong place, Thank God we found someone to do things right and my dad was able to get his green card. I do not recommend this law firm if you are the kind of person who like to call for updates and likes to know what is going on, they were super rude after the process started but we tired to deal with it bc we had already paid some part, by the way they were supposed to send back the money that immigration was gona sent back for the motion and it never happened.

I just read the review from Mindy and it seems that she might have some issues that shes not wanting others to know. I've had nothing but positive and professional experiences with him and his law firm always. I've known him and he's represented me for the last 10 years. Times have changed and cash app is used by businesses everywhere. Im not sure what this girl has up her sleeve but if she was tape recording it seems she was trying to set something up! Matt is a very good attorney and gets you results... Looks like he was being nice and gave you a discount if he only got $400. Especially on a house call! Sorry, it just bothered me when i read this bc she's attacking his character and Matt is very compassionate and cares about his clients!

I contacted them at the end of February concerning a Replevin action, help with the paperwork. I am an abuse victim with a PFA in Kansas, he has everything I own in Missouri. The "Cheif Operating Officer" contacted me and set an appointment to discuss. I let her know I could do it on my 30min break, agreed on a time and date. No call, no answer. Called 45mins late. My work, understanding my situation, allowed me to take time for the call. Explained my case. A week later I was told that the Managing Partner would take my case. That I would need to put $5000 in an account. Top it up whenever they take charges. Evergreen Retainer. I thought this seemed excessive for help with paperwork. I asked what the anticipated costs would be. She answered "That is something you would need to discuss with an attorney should you wish to proceed with Harrah Law. I can provide you with our billable rates." Provided rates list. I then asked if it would be possible to speak with an attorney first, before making the commitment and depositing $5000. The response, "I will see if our managing partner will make an exception as this is not our usual practice." Not our usual practice... So, give us $5000 to take from, which you must top up, with absolutely zero knowledge of what we will be doing for you or any idea of how much it will cost. Scary! Every other attorney has given a free consultation, and indicated that giving an idea of anticipated costs, a range depending, is normal. She told me that she would speak with the Managing Partner and get back to me. That was 7.5 months ago. Money, zero client care. Would not recommend.

Like all the other 1 star review they will take your money...then say you don't have a case and will be short with you and try to talk you out from moving forward because they know they will not get any money out of the case. Brian and his team barely wanted to communicate or give us updates, but they want to charge us on discussing on reimbursing us back for the remaining work they didnt want to do..seriously?! What a joke!

I hired Paul to represent me and in the first meeting told him I needed two motions filed. He had three months and did not file them so my court date was continued another 3 months. The day before court he submitted the motions so the prosecution said they havent had time to review and I spent an additional 3 months in jail. He was also paid to represent me in immigration court but never told me he was suspended in immigration court. His incompetence will cost you.
