I had spoken to a few lawyers prior to hiring Ms Jackson, her consultation was the first one that made me feel heard and understood; like she truly saw the big and small picture. I felt like an actual person instead of another client.
Thanks to her the court process was simple and even my minor stress points were given attention and care through the whole process.
I believe she specializes in custody, but she handled my whole divorce and put down all the mischaracterized accusations thrown my way.
I have a fair and equitable post divorce and suffered no serious damages to credit or other typical post divorce losses. I got the 50/50 custody arrangement I petitioned for and see my child often, and have equal authority towards her well being.
I would hire Jozefa again in a heart beat, and truly believe that if I hired anyone else I would not have been successful in defending myself.

I needed to hire an attorney. I initially consulted another attorney in the area who refused to take over my case because he said there was no damages in it (e.g., money). I disagreed because I was legitimately injured. I asked him to recommend another attorney and Randall was the name of an attorney he gave me.
From my first meeting with Randall, he was professional, courteous, honest about the circumstances & legalities of my case, and treated me with dignity and respect. He took my case because he saw the harm done to me, even if it was not millions of dollars' worth of damages.

After a near 6 year fight trying to achieve a disability adjudication hearing, without success, I turned to Melissa. She was thorough in her initial intake, she maintained/endured constant communication and I do mean constant communications from myself to her office and responded every time. Not once did she ask me to please stop. I was appreciative of her understanding, compassion, desire to "get this one done".
While the outcome was not a slam dunk victory and fell well short of overall expectations, she still achieved a favorable decision from the judge. I would have appreciated the considerations that Melissa had provided me, from the adjudication process of the administration itself. The system is flawed. It needs repaired. Never the less Melissa receives the 3-C's award from me....... I have a personal journey to undergo from here. It won't be easy, but I am positive if I have any questions MY attorney will respond...

When I came to Melissa i was very discouraged having been denied my social security disability claim, after a LONG wait, coupled with having to leave my job that i loved and enjoyed. She was ALWAYS very easy to talk to and was kind and patient to read my long emails that at times contained many questions and a bit of frustration having to wait out this process. She ALWAYS got back to me in a timely manner and made me feel at ease and understood. If I were her boss i would definatly do whatevr i could to keep her and give her a big fat raise, i mean that, what she did for me meant the world to me its been a VERY VERY difficult time losing income and incurring medical bills. Allison is a professional, friendly lawyer who represented me in my divorce case from 2003 thru 2008. She represented me in family court and I always felt confident with her by my side. She was straight forward with me and provided me information that was realistic in her expectations. Our experience with Ms. Laskowitz was exceptional. She was very professional, brought clarity to our discussions and was accessible. She treated us with fairness and understanding.
