Joanne is one of the most competent attorneys I have had the pleasure of dealing with (if you can call needing a attorney a pleasure). Joanne kept me well informed at all times, did not charge for emails as long as they were to the point, and was available to answer my questions at all times. She won my cases when others said that it couldn't be done, I used her services for both criminal and custody.

When I was ready to give up on a 3 year custody battle, I reached out to Speaker Law. After thoroughly discussing my case, they connected me to Lisa Schmidt. She was not only thorough, but passionate about my case. The team kept me updated through the daunting process of appeals. Finally, when the day arrived, I sat in the courtroom watching the cases before me. Lawyers fumbling through and (in my opinion) literally not doing their clients justice. Then, my case was called. Absolutely great. We had the pleasure of working with Ms Mehrani for my wife’s case and it was as smooth as it could be. The 2-year home requirement waiver cases are really difficult to obtain especially for hardship reasons. I have dismissed charges on some felony due to no evidence. This lady is the attorney for my wife's daughters grandma. Tell how it's right to try to judge and hold someone accountable for a charge that was dismissed. And she don't know the difference in no contact and a ppo. I will seek guidance to take this lady to court of defamation of character, slander, among others. Your not gonna play with me freedom this way. Your gonna learn. I will also look into if the ABA can help in this. Your breaking the laws lady and you and your client are lying. I will expose you.

I hired Ms. Patrick upon being charged with Unlawful Imprisonment, Interfering with communications and assault and battery. I was so distraught and confused at first. Knowing I could possibly end up in prison for 15 years! Melissa first calmed me down and made me focus. I was then able to provide her with the information and evidence she requested. She listens and provides understanding in a confusing time with out judgement. I felt completely comfortable with her understanding her expert opinions and advisement. She guided me through the entire 2 years 9 months (due to Covid) that it took to go to trial after several plea offers. I'm more than greatful that I chose Melissa to represent me. One of the best plea attorneys in the game (5 out of 5 there) but if you innocent or need lots of motions filed or are planning on trial go else where. I had a extremely poor experience at his place. Instead of trying to communicate and understand your issue, this guy only induce you to pay him more. He wouldn’t hear from you and wouldn’t read any documents from you.
However, this guy has 0 skill as a attorney. He can’t even write a lawyer’s letter. He also has some trouble with replying your text message, and never answer phone call.
Overall, my grandma is going to be better an attorney than him.PLEASE DO NOT HIRE HIM AS YOUR LAWYER, AND DO NOT PAY HIM ANY MONEY.

I filed Bankruptcy in 2014. Bob took very good care of me through it all. Years later when I had questions about my credit report I called Bob and he had me come to his office to go over my report and what I had to do. No extra charges. There was a problem with our mortgage company as when our first payment was due after our bankruptcy. When I called to see what to do I kept getting we will look into and get back to you. I kept calling and emailing and did not get any response. I finally after calling and emailing got a hold of someone and they said for them to pursue it I had to pay a 500 dollar retainer. Would of liked to have known this the first time I called and not 4 days before our mortgage company was going to take action. Then I got I am not sure what I am going to be able to do by then I am going out of town tomorrow. I also got I have verification from the trustee that you are the one correct but of course would not send it to me to share with my mortgage company. Through our whole bankruptcy we kept getting all these extra fees when we paid so much already. Please do not go with this shady law firm!!!

Do note that this institution will take far longer than any other to process a simple transcript request. Everywhere else does this electronically in one hour, this institution will take a full week - even though they receive $1,000 per credit hour more than any other institution.

Unreliable and irresponsible lawyer who doesn’t need to be practicing and representing clients.When we had a court date Stephanie showed up late to the court hearing. After the hearing she did not give us any copies of the documentation from the court of the decision of the hearing we had to go to the court to get the documentation ourselves . in addition she would not return any of our phone calls or messages we left, Our family felt that she failed to represent us properly even though we had many witnesses Preponderance proofs of evidence to rectify the situation also She seemed to be acting very strange and unusual and it’s sometimes very erratic in our presence I would Not recommend her to hire her or feel she should be continuing practicing law.

Ms.Godsey was hired from out of state ,but to do work in Michigan. Agreed to not charge for contact with a third party,received bill,client was charged with those contacts. Does not do what she says. Ms. Godsey called and we was informed she had everything taken care of.She would have a person out of jail by 5 pm that day,that said person was not taken care of til 5 days later. I feel Ms. Godsey is not honest with client, over charges, runs bill up purposely! Plus harasses client for payment when an agreement was already made.

Attempting to make a payment is impossible they don't have a pay online or pay over the phone option. They are understaffed and when I mentioned to one of the attorneys that they are debt collectors and should give viable options I was then told they are NOT debt collectors but when you call the first thing the message says is "we are debt collectors and this is an attempt to collect a debt"

I hired Ms. Widener to defend me in a criminal case I was charged with. Having never been charged with anything criminal, I didn't know where to turn.. Lucky for me, after working with Miss Widener for 2 months, I realized I made a grave selection in my choice of Miss Widener. Not only did she miss several key opportunities to have my case dismissed, she repeatedly tried to get me to take a plea or blame someone else even though no crime ever occurred. She billed me excessively... every actual hour turned into 2 or 4 on her bill. Her lack of compression and skills translated into thousands in cost for me...A case that I was told would cost $25,000 start to finish became $10,000 before I even got to court. I highly recommend looking elsewhere when you're seeking competent legal representation...
