The worst decision I ever made was to hire Ann Oakleaf for my divorce, modification of spousal support. She is incompetent and lacks integrity.
Initiated “very busy activity” - in asking numerous times to submit and sign the same documents. She tried to prolong our phone, office conversations and charged me for every minute.
She had no goal and strategy to help me. I forced to cancel her service because she offered the worst option compared to my former spouse’s lawyer. I felt she was not supportive of me. I had to hire another attorney.
Do not hire this attorney if you want to be successful in court. She is very “burnt out” and wants to retire and should!
You would be better off using the Self-help desk at Family court.

A year and a half ago my divorce and custody process started and I had no idea how to even begin to find the right attorney for me. I was referred to Jennie's office by a mom on my son's baseball team and that referral was the best thing to happen to me! Jennie offered a free consultation and as I sat there in her office feeling nervous and scared about the ordeal in front of me, she listened and took copious notes, and gave me genuine guidance. I felt truly heard and understood by her. Jennie and her team were with me every step of the way. They explained every step along the way, guided me in making the right decisions for myself and my son, and helped me to manage every curve ball that was thrown at me by my ex. My divorce and custody case were settled outside of court, which was a goal for me, and my experience with Jennie guiding me along the way was more than I had hoped for. I was referred to Jennie LaRossa by a friend, and I am more than satisfied with their service and the outcome of our custody case.
I walked into the office scared for my son’s safety and I didn’t know what to do. It was so refreshing that they truly had my son’s best interest in mind and I walked out of the office feeling a million times better. I remember Jennie once told me, “Do what’s right for Atticus now, do what’s right for you later.”
Jennie responded to the opposing counsel quickly, professionally and aggressively. She convinced me to try and settle with my son’s father over the phone and it worked! With her guidance we were able to come to an agreement instead of going to court. Since Atticus’ father and I settled MONTHS before our scheduled court date, it saved us both tens of thousands of dollars we would have had to pay in attorney and court fees.
Also, Jennie and the office responded to emails and text messages so quickly, which helped me tremendously through this painful and stressful experience. I remember one time Jennie even texted me back on a weekend when she was at her son’s graduation.
My son’s father and I are both happy with our new custody arrangement. Our son is thriving, happy and safe. Words cannot truly express the gratitude I feel toward Jennie and team …thank you from the bottom of my heart!

My name is Omar ,
On October, 2016 I got a DUI , I was very worried and scared because I’ve never had any prior history on my record. I had no idea where to start. The day after I got my DUI I called so many attorneys and Among them, Natalia Matusik was the only person I truly felt very comfortable with to handle my case.
A few days later she took my case and I Can’t be more happy and thankful of the outcome and all her valuable help. She represented me in a courteous and professional way.
She was very informative,cooperative and reachable via phone, text, e-mail and even person to person at all time. She met with me to study my case and to inform me of all my rights and responsibilities. Then she examined all possible outcomes and informed me of ways to fight my case in court.
A few months later she managed to reached an agreement with the District attorney and the judge to downgrade my criminal charges to what might have been a DUI into a Dry Reckless charge.
I would definitely recommend her to anyone dealing with this or any case, she took the stress out of dealing with this unfortunate event in my life and I look forward to getting her help once again in order to finish my probation early.

I had found myself at odds with my former employer. I had no idea where to begin and the Labor Department was not as informative as I hoped it would be. I was stressed, confused and restless. Retaining Ms. Natalia Matusik Law is the best choice I ever made. A rarity in a city filled with super attorney's who bill for filing paper from one side of their desk to the other.
I'm the single mom of a 9 year old daughter. My two previous “super attorney's” dragged me and my daughter through a 2.5-year divorce process, leading to another 2 year civil matter involving both my former husband and his affair partner, now his third wife.
I hired Ms. Matusik in a family related restraining order case, which proceeded to trial. Halorin and her associates recently helped me in a very difficult criminal case which was finally settled in my favor. Halorin took her time to learn about and understand my case from my perspective and was instrumental in what I consider a successful conclusion.

Our non-profit was in tax trouble and suspended by the Secretary of State. We also had a patron that wanted their donation back. This attorney resolved all of it and returned the balance of our initial retainer. She resolved the issue with the patron over dinner and got us a compromise offer for our tax troubles. She was tough and gave us great advice about letting go of our Executive Director which was better for us in the long run. We are healthier today as an organization and even though she will not join our Board of Directors, we admire her and would recommend her if your having compliance issues.

My husband and i used Michele Dobson Wilson for the preparation of our Living Trust that that was somewhat complicated. Michele was very professional, extremely knowledgeable on these types of legal documents, answered all of our questions, and made recommendations.
In addition I also have first hand knowledge of Michele's legal expertise and professionalism as I am on the board for a non profit and Michele represented our non profit in a wrongful termination suit brought forth by an ex-employee.
