I wanted to write this review and recognize Attorney Joe Bugni and his assistant Trinity for their hard work and dedication in helping my wife and I.
Navigating through the legal system can seem to be an overwhelming task. When my wife and I needed legal help we contacted Mr. Bugni for help. Mr. Bugni sat down with us, took notes, and devised a plan with his assistant Trinity on how best to address our situation. Mr. Bugni and Trinity talked to us like old friends, not attorney and clients, putting us very much at ease.
As our case proceeded Trinity put together a timeline and outlined our case, so we could understand it. Trinity was always available and answered all questions we asked.
Trinity and Mr. Bugni presented our case in terms that we could understand, which makes us feel better knowing what is happening.

I was referred to Attorney David Makovec in December 2014, because I needed help to draft up and file a QDRO after my divorce. His prices are very reasonable, he is very knowledgeable at what he does, and he is friendly and he made me feel at ease and no worries at our first meeting. He always kept me informed as the process of filing the QDRO went on & he was there for me to answer questions when it came to any communication between my ex-husband's company lawyer.
I would definately use Mr. Makovec again in the future if I needed to and will refer all family and friends to him as well!! Keep up the great work David Makovec!! and Thank You for all your hard work!!

Dave Makovec is one of the best attorneys of law. This guy works for great prices and will stick it out as long as it takes and he treats you just like family and will help in any way. Dawn is a tenacious, yet personable attorney who has relentlessly fought on my behalf throughout my divorce. She has very knowledgeable partners to consult with, which easily offsets any lack of experience as a newly appointed BAR attorney. My child's safety and welfare have been the central focus of my divorce, and Dawn has been extremely pro-active in this regard. Debra has represented me in more than 1 way. She was my attorney for my prenup, and also married my ex husband and I. She also was there to help through the annaulment. (No better way to have a guy say I do than have your attorney marry you.)
Also, when my daughters dad (who had child abuses charges on him with his girlfriends kid) tried to get custody she helped me through the whole ordeal. She got me full custody of my daughter, and her dad has nothing to do with her (his choice.)
Then when her dad tried to press charges on me Debra got me off knowing I did nothing wrong, but leave a picture of his daughter on his truck.
Debra has been there through everything since I hired her the first time. She has helped me to understand everything that was going on and I would not have had the courage to go through any of this with out her knowledge and caring nature. I would say she went above and beyond what any attorney should do, but that is just her.
Even recently she is helping me with my DUI i received. She has covered everything for me: Prenup, Marrage, Divorce, Custody, Criminal (DUI, Restraining Order, and Violation of Restraining Order.)

I hired Mr. Kenyon in both a civil and criminal defense case regarding Marijuana and DUI. I've found that Charles did not keep proper notes regarding my case, as I've had to constantly remind him of what took place on the day of my arrest. During a suppression hearing regarding evidence, he admitted evidence we were trying to suppress. He was regularly late for court, and was not at his office at times we scheduled meetings. In the end, I had to fire Mr. Kenyon and appoint a public defender. Definitely not worth the $6k flat fee retainer.

I was arrested at 5 a.m on a Saturday morning and I asked a family member to find an attorney for me. She contacted Mr. Kenyon. He was extremely responsive and met with me over the weekend to set my expectations, gather facts, and begin formulating a strategy.
He met with me again early Monday morning, briefed me on the steps he had taken, and once again did a fine job of ensuring I knew what would be happening over the next few days.
As it turns out, my charges were dropped a few hours later, but it was clear that Mr. Kenyon was an excellent choice and had a firm grasp of dealing with the legal process, and developing a strategy for my defense. I would highly recommend him.

My only regret was not using Keith first. I had gone with another firm that had been recommended to me by a few different friends. After watching my original attorney sit silently as I was removed from my house, lost my kids, and had to pay the mortgage and ALL the bills, I knew I needed a new attorney. Enter Keith Wessel. Not only was he able to reverse the damage my original attorney had done, he was able to cut through the games and drama my ex wife's attorney had been using. He worked well with the Social Worker, the Court Commissioner, and Judge. He has the knowledge and experience to navigate any situation and is very personable and easy to work with through the difficult circumstance that is divorce. I trust him completely. Excellent communication and response to any questions I had. He is worth his rate and it was money well spent. I would not hesitate to recommend Keith to anyone. My experience with Keith Wessel can be described only as outstanding!

Mario was always available to me throughout the stress of board related issues. He was compassionate with my coping with this stress and very knowledgeable about the board’s workings. He knew the opposing counsel’s temperament and his guidance relating to this matter and the likely outcome was spot on. On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, I contacted The Law Center, S.C. and spoke with paralegal Stephanie. I was emailed an offer to consult, scheduled a zoom meeting with Cedric for next week Tuesday, June 18, 2pm-4pm.
I made the $350 payment, then received an email from Stephanie on the same day stating that The Law Center, S.C. was unable to assist me. I was told to contact an attorney in Minnesota where I live, the other family members concerned live in Wisconsin. On The Law Center, S.C. website it states that Cedric is licensed in both Minnesota and Wisconsin.
It's definitely not good business to accept, schedule appointments with clients, take their money then decline their case. Especially because your attorney team claims to care about families.

My brother hired this firm to handle his divorce. From the very beginning it was a bad decision. The first hearing was handled by an attorney in their office he had never even spoken to before, the guy showed up minutes before the hearing unprepared causing the need for another hearing. He then showed up at this hearing with all of the documentation needed to fix his original blunder, which by the way my brother paid for by needing to have another hearing which they charged him for. He proceeded thru this hearing and totally forgot to speak on one of the reasons he was there and the judge made her judgement leaving an order in place that should’ve never been. So another hearing was needed which again they charged him for. Time after time throughout the divorce they have dropped the ball, too many to list in this review. Long story shorter he ended up paying them over $30k and had a balance of $4k with an agreement he was paying. They decided to drop him as a client with less than a month to go before the final trial leaving him without an attorney knowing it would cost no less than $10k to get another. I’ve never been around a bigger group of blood sucking vultures in my life.

Some attorneys are just strictly there for the money and do as little work as they have to. I was a legal secretary for a few years so I met a lot of attorneys. Never in my life have I met an attorney like the man that I'm reviewing right now. He went above and beyond to save me from the biggest mistake of my life. He didn't care if it cost him money from not being hired as an attorney he cared about what was right and what was wrong and not many attorneys care about that anymore trust me. If you want sn attorney that tells you exactly how it is and doesn't sugarcoat anything, this is the attorney you want to hire.

Atty Van Wagner recognized the emergent and timely needs of our case and was willing to step in immediately and advocate for our needs. Sarah is incredibly knowledgeable about divorce law, is very professional as well as organized and detail-oriented. However, my ex employed a lawyer from Cordell & Cordell, who overall employed a very aggressive approach. I'm not sure Sarah is the best person to go head-to-head with another lawyer like this. I certainly think Sarah could have been proactive at times, as it seemed we were constantly on the defense responding to the other side, rather than being proactive and being one step ahead of the other side. It never seemed as if we had the upper hand throughout the entire divorce process. I paid Sarah tens of thousands of dollars for my divorce. However, when I reached out to her with one question I had after the divorce was finalized and she was no longer representing me, I never even got the courtesy of a reply email or phone call back. The lack of a reply seemed unprofessional to me. Also, Sarah told me many times that I wouldn't' be charged for this call or that email, but that wasn't the case. Perhaps it is because of a lack of transparency, but I believe I paid for things that I was told I wouldn't have to. Lastly, she told me that we could negotiate the remaining $18,000 I owed, but later that day when my divorce was finalized, she just sent me a bill for $18,000. More follow through on things said, especially when it comes to billing, is needed.

My brother hired this firm to handle his divorce. From the very beginning it was a bad decision. The first hearing was handled by an attorney in their office he had never even spoken to before, the guy showed up minutes before the hearing unprepared causing the need for another hearing. He then showed up at this hearing with all of the documentation needed to fix his original blunder, which by the way my brother paid for by needing to have another hearing which they charged him for. He proceeded thru this hearing and totally forgot to speak on one of the reasons he was there and the judge made her judgement leaving an order in place that should’ve never been. So another hearing was needed which again they charged him for. Time after time throughout the divorce they have dropped the ball, too many to list in this review. Long story shorter he ended up paying them over $30k and had a balance of $4k with an agreement he was paying. They decided to drop him as a client with less than a month to go before the final trial leaving him without an attorney knowing it would cost no less than $10k to get another. I’ve never been around a bigger group of blood sucking vultures in my life.

I hired attorney Kathleen Hessel to help me with a contempt hearing. From the start, Ms. Hessel was not looking out for my best interests. She did not offer concrete steps I could take. I had to require her to take my offers to the other side. I was able to do that myself. It was a complete waste of money for me to hire this law firm.

She seems to be working for the other side and collecting the money from me for doing nothing for me, but for my ex. Communication is terrible....she has difficulty keeping dates & times strait....with no respect for my work schedule....shows up late to hearings and seems confused/lost on what to do in court. Documentation that would have supported me in court was ignored by her. So, if your ok with your divorce dragging on for years at her expensive rate~hire her! It was more stressful having her as my attorney and keeping up with her demands with no results!
