While I appreciate the effort to provide guidance, the advice given was unhelpful and did not address my concerns effectively. The session was also disrupted by a delay in starting and an interruption midway, which further hindered the flow of our conversation.
Moreover, I felt that my concerns were not fully understood or taken seriously. Despite informing Ms. Tracy at the beginning of the session that I have a temporary protection order, this crucial detail seemed to be overlooked, leading to unnecessary surprise when it was mentioned later. Additionally, despite my clear statement that I have sole custody, I was questioned about my custody situation. This left me feeling defensive and uncertain about whether I had made the right decisions to protect my child.
What is most concerning is that I have not heard anything back from Ms. Tracy regarding these issues. It appears that she is collecting funds without providing accurate or helpful information. Given the lack of response and the overall unsatisfactory experience, I am requesting a refund for this session, as it did not meet my expectations or provide the level of professional

Please, read the review below about the divorce.
A family member of mine reached out to this “attorney “ for bankruptcy filing. He asked for $3,000 retainer for filing for bankruptcy and was hired in April. He recommended to file in October.
He was presented with all requested documents, and although having clear email trail, he kept requesting the same documents over and over again to pump the bill.
Out of the blue in September he starts blasting emails for over 8 hours and declining to represent the client nor return the money, claiming he has exhausted the retainer. Mind you not one statement has been presented between April and September.
This is extremely unprofessional, shady and brutal tactic taking advantage of people in extreme need.
If you are considering hiring this person, please, keep on looking for more professional, knowledgeable and honest individual.

Mr. Rosenthal is truly a pursuer of the truth. He worked tirelessly on our case for over 3 years. Back and forth between him and the courts with all the documentation, he never missed a date or deadline. He always kept us updated to what was going on with the case. As well he was upfront and honest with us in that he would do his best and he felt we had a strong case.
The district court ruled against us and we appealed to circuit court, which reversed, and got an excellent outcome after it was sent back to district court for trial. In my opinion it was his persistence and knowledge that brought about results.

First off let me say if you are looking for an attorney you have found him!
I’ve hired many attorneys in Maryland of the years and NOT ONE can compare to Ian Valkenet. He is honest, straight forward, and the most educated attorney in his field we’ve ever spoken to. Which was over a dozen for this particular case. Most of them even told my husband and I that there was nothing we could do that we were in the wrong. Deep down we knew that couldn’t possible be true. After speaking with Ian it was confirmed. There was something we could do. A lot actually and Ian was knocking them out like Muhammad Ali in the ring.
You don’t get that a lot anymore with attorneys. They tell you things and don’t follow through . Not Ian! If he says he’s doing something it’s done. This man knew our rights and was honest with us. We have been in a lawsuit since Feb 2023. From the day we met Ian for a consultation we knew that this man was who we needed. He knew the law in every aspect you can imagine. It was incredible we were actually looking forward to seeing him in trial. For pure satisfaction of seeing the defendants faces. 😂 This man won without having a trial which saved us money but it would’ve been epic to watch him in this case. This man isn’t just in law for a paycheck he goes above and beyond for his clients. He is worth every dollar! We would hire him over and over again. Our only regret is that we didn’t find him a year sooner. The end result of our lawsuit was we won everything we asked for and then some.
