I had a situation at my job I was accused of something I didn't do and I was getting all these false accusation and defamation I contacted this law firm and yet they say that they don't do these type of cases but in their website it does say that they handle defamation / slander cases... Don't go to this law firm for anything they just give you the runaround.

I had a very refreshing experience working with AM Law attorney Brandy Abreu on my real estate transaction. Where do I start? When I was served with divorce papers not only was I devasted but in disbelief. I had no idea what to do. I started to get all the legal advertisements in the mail. I retained one of them. It was a horrible mistake. After $15k in debt and a $5k lien against me I was still not divorce. Not even mediation was handled correctly. After much praying and looking around I came across Divorce in Kindness who put me in contact with attorney Melanie Cambridge. Melanie was very professional, supportive, kind, respectful and understanding. She listened to every concern I had and if she didn't agree with something she would explain to me why and how it could affect me in the long run. Melanie made me feel safe and that I could trust her. She truly had my best interest at heart. I don't know how she did it ( I was divorcing a narcissist) but she got me everything I wanted and the most unbelievable thing was that she had me divorced within a week of hiring her! When I consider filing for divorce, I consulted with several attorneys to see who could be the right one to handle my difficult case. I hired Melanie because she was knowledgeable, support it, compassionate and understanding. I was overwhelm and concern with my future since I have 3 small children to take care off and no job. This woman treated me like a friend, a sister, a mentor. She fought with her teeth to make sure my settlement was fair for me and my children. After a year of court battle with my ex husband, my divorce came through. I was able to relocate to a better environment for my children, assets and financial were handle fairly as well as visitation. I hired Mr. Hernandez for a case which thought was going to take over 6 months. He and his staff are very knowledgeable and i was able to collect on my settlement within 5 months. He is a very aggressive attorney that will fight for your case and because of such he was able to get me a resolution that other attorney never thought they would. I am proud member of the Armed Forces and have been for the past 10 years. I sought a lawyer through a bigger law firm in which Ms. Torres was working for. At the time I was stationed overseas. Due to nature of my job I always had access to computers, emails, phones 24/7. Shortly after she began working my case the firm notified me that she would leaving to start her own firm, claiming that it was merely due to her being so good. I allowed her to take my case with her based on that word and due to her already knowing what I desired. I was seeking a divorce and full child custody. The case went on for over a year. She spoke well over the phone and through email and text and had me fully convinced that she had my case well taken care of. However, It wasn't until I learned from my now ex-wife that she was missing court appearances and or late. My wife at the time told me that she had actually only showed up once. {Part 1}
Going back a little, when the case first began my ex-wife had no lawyer representation but after talking to Ms. Torres she ended up with someone my attorney had been associated with before. Coincidence I'm sure. Throughout the year she worked for me. Weekly she communicated with me and put my mind at ease. However, when I returned to the states and requested to have a face-to-face with Ms. Torres she always not available, and when I questioned this shockingly she threatened to quit. I was never able to get a face-to-face with Ms. Torres. I digressed and went on about as usual. During this time my ex-wife was fighting drug charges and multiple counts of credit card fraud in which I thought would work highly in my favor. Nearing the end of my case at this time it had been over a year that she had been working my case. I spoke with Ms. Torres over the phone and I asked if she needed me home for the remaining court appearances. She assured me that my presence was not needed. She even told me about upcoming dates scheduled in October and how she had it under control. Later that week I got a phone call from my soon to be ex-wife stating that she was angry about the no show of my attorney in August. Confused I thought my soon to be ex-wife had her information wrong. Shockingly she had not. The same day I called Ms. Torres and got not response so I sent a message asking what in the world my ex-wife was talking about. The next day Ms. Torres responded stating that she was withdrawing from my case due to lack of communication means. The last conversation I had with Ms. Torres she informed me that my wifes attorney was pretty fair and that he would contact me. She gave my wife’s attorney my contact information and it was wrong. Somehow after over a year and talking days prior she lost my contact information. It was my ex-wife that informed me that the information she provided was wrong.
In all I ended up representing myself and I accepted the terms of her attorney. I ended up paying for both lawyers and lost full custody. The things my child has had to go through over the past few years has impacted him deeply. Luckily with proper representation I am close to giving him a stable and safe home. I highly recommend that you take caution with this attorney.

Jennifer, there is nothing to tell me you're welcome for because you did nothing. You literally scammed us out of $2,000 dollars. All you did was agree to the original terms of opposing counsel (with a few emails) which is what I could have done myself and settled in less than one week since you feel time is so relevant.
You are rude, unprofessional and full of yourself. By far the worst "nose up in the air, I'm better than everyone else" attitude I've seen from anyone.
Under two months is completely irrelevant. Time has nothing to do with the issue(s) at hand. That's just noise to distract from the facts in play.
Pointing out the fact that my wife retained you is also completely irrelevant. If you'd like, I can ask her to write a review as well if that makes it more relevant.
Yes, you did point out that you are foreclosure only, but you also said that someone else can be retained to deal with the HOA issues. Any competent attorney that actually takes the time to read emails, listen to the client and do some forward thinking would realize that settling the foreclosure would have made it difficult or impossible (impossible in our case) to pursue further action against the HOA.
It is pretty easy for me to see the scam you have going here by spamming public records with your $1,500 retainer (non refundable) and $500 monthly fee, and quite frankly I wonder if it's borderline illegal/unethical from the perspective of The Florida Bar.
Anyone reading this ought to search you on the other legal sites to see that you have mostly negative reviews with most of them pointing out how rude and unprofessional you are with your clients.
I guess the joke is on us since my wife and I were busy traveling and did not have the time to vet you out.

Jennifer is an incompetent and unethical attorney. She advertised her services by targeting individuals facing foreclosure through public records. Our HOA, known for its underhanded tactics, pushed us into foreclosure, leading us to hire Jennifer.
Jennifer's primary focus was to take our money without providing adequate service. We paid her a $1,500 retainer and $500 monthly for a fixed-rate arrangement, yet she performed only a couple of hours of billable work.
Despite providing extensive details about our situation, Jennifer ignored them.
During our consultation, we expressed our desire to take action against the HOA. She claimed this would be possible after addressing the foreclosure. Later, we discovered that the HOA became judgment-proof with the foreclosure resolution, making further action impossible—something she knew from the start.
Her consistent failure to read and comprehend emails resulted in additional court filings.
When the settlement deadline approached, she sent a one-line email saying, "I guess you're going to lose your home now," despite us already wiring the money and instructing her to accept the deal. She failed to read and understand our communication.
When we demanded a refund for the majority of the payments made, she simply ignored us.
In short, Jennifer is unresponsive, uncommunicative, and solely interested in taking your money.

I hired Mr Rogers because his sister was recommended to me. She referred me to her brother and I hired him for a family case.
First, I only talked to Edward Rogers the first day when I paid him the retainer and the day at court. Every other phone call or text message was from his “paralegal” Ricky.
Richard “Ricky” calles or text me with very unrelated stuff. The times he called me about something close to relevant I felt he dragged on the conversation. Later when I asked for time sheet, it was apparent that I was billed for what I felt was very excessive times.
Moving forward to the court date. When sitting with the court representatives I was forced to defend my self. Both Edward and Richard were with me but neither had anything to say. In fact if I were to stay quiet and not defend my self I would be paying a lot more money on child support than I do now.
Finally, I feel that Edward is not equipped with the knowledge to handle such cases. Maybe he should just stay doing ticket cases and such. Beware with his colleague Ricky. He talks to you like a car salesman. An 80s car sales man. Almost even comical.
Save your money, you’ll be better off asking friends or even strangers for advice that have been in the same situation.

I can only refer Gerald Kornreich as one of the most powerful and successful lawyers in Miami with the biggest heart.
When I first came to his law firm, Kornreich and Associates, I had nothing and I was scared. My life was falling apart.
My ex-husband had thrown me and our young kids out of our house,took my money, credit cards and car away and I had no idea, how to get out of this situation or even how I would ever going to be able to pay any lawers fees. After listening to my story, he decided to help me and told me not to worry about any payments.
I never saw anyone working so hard and with so much effort to get me anything.
His professionalism and loyalty was unheard of.

Gerald Kornreich saved my family after my first attorney failed on a technicality and abandoned my case. After he caught wind of my story, he knew he had to make it right, even though I could not afford to pay him. Because of him, my legal rights to my son have been restored and my family is whole again. It took 2.5 years because he had to have the appellate court correct/reconsider the lower court's previous ruling, but he and his team worked tirelessly to show the courts the injustice that was done not just to me, but most importantly, to my son. He was thoughtful, caring, respectful and genuine throughout the entire process. Legal proceedings bring out the worst in individuals going through the process, but Gerald Kornreich kept all of us on track, focused, and true to our case. Reading all these other reviews, I feel like I must be delusional. I had a different experience. I hired Mr. Kohlman to write a prenup. Before hiring, he verbally promised me that we'd be returned part of the retainer for sure if my fiancee was as uncontentious about the agreement as I claimed she'd be. I followed my side of the bargain: my fiancee, after we found representation for her later, insisted w/ her attorney that she not fight for more on the prenup. Thus, Mr. Kohlman's prenup required pretty much no alterations besides what he needed to alter simply bc the first draft wasnt polished completely yet. We kept our side of the bargain, and reminded him of that, yet he sent *ME a bill saying I owed more!!!???? Another part of the deal was that we were trying to get married before the end of the year for tax purposes. Mr. Kohlman was extremely unresponsive throughout the entire drafting process; it quickly became clear that he was only responsive before we paid him, not after. I almost spent more time trying to call him and email him than he spent on the agreement. He probably responded to about 10% of my attempts to contact him. It was terribly exasperating. In the end, the bill he sent us included 3X more time billed for simply talking w/ opposing counsel than the opposing counsel (representing my fiancee) billed us for talking to him AND reviewing the agreement first AND discussing aspects w/ my fiancee. The final agreement is probably fine, but the entire experience was terrible, and I'm left wanting to sue him for malpractice.

We retained Mr. Kohlman for a Petition for Modification of Child Support and to address MSA issues. We were required to wire him his retainer (didn't accept credit cards). This was in April 2020. As of the end of June 2020 there was - in addition to Mr. Kohlman going missing for over a month - no production and no responses to my request for a refund of our retainer. I have filed a complaint with the Florida Bar and have filed a claim with the Clients' Security Fund. I would give Mr. Kohlman zero stars if this site allowed it.

As a client of Cynthia Zuñiga Hernandez, it has been difficult to leave what you would consider negative feedback given the importance and weight these reviews have on a small private practice but my reflection is solely based on my personal experience as I hope to help any recent divorced mothers looking to receive competent representation. I engaged the services of a family law attorney with the expectation of receiving adequate representation throughout the intricate and emotionally taxing process of divorce. Regrettably, my choice of Cynthia Zuñiga Hernandez as legal counsel was a disastrous one. This attorney, who was hired to provide support and guidance, was instead unprofessional and overall left me feeling deserted. Cynthia Zuñiga, Esq negligence in her duties resulted in critical errors during the divorce proceedings. She lost contact with me after we accomplished to remove my Ex from my Health insurance, nearly 8 weeks trying to communicate with her about a mediation timeline. Cynthia continuously blamed the negligence on her co-worker who I assume is now her partner from Law Center of South Florida, P.A. She apologized profusely and mentioned she's shifting her area of law to probate and bankruptcy. What does her shift in a different area of law have to do with my case. The additional stress imposed proved to be insupportable and prompted me to caution others to avoid making a similar mistake in their choice of legal representation. This divorce continues since 2021 and has yet to be finalized. I would stay away from Cynthia Zuñiga Hernandez who goes by Cynthia Zuñiga, P.A. from Law Center of South Florida, P.A. and everyone who associates with her, you will be disappointed.

This lawyer actually deserves zero stars, because she did NOTHING for us. Let me explain to be objective. We came for a consult in August with my husband, let all his papers, paid for the consult 100$ and we were promised that Mrs Roffe is gonna call us back within a week to let us know her opinion about the case after she sees the papers. Today is November 26!! We’ve been calling her and she never answered the calls, until we called from the unknown number, we’ve been texting her (because before meeting with her we were discussing the consult date via messages as well) and she never replied our messages for more than 3 months. Obviously she didn’t call us as was promised as well. Neither within a week nor within 3 months. After all this time we managed to reach her by call from another phone number. And all she said - I can’t help in this case. And that we can come for the documents tomorrow. I understand that she couldn’t help, but AT LEAST for 100$ that she took she HAD to call and let us know about this. We tried to ask for the money refund but we were told it’s impossible. NEVER start any business with this “lawyer”. It’s just lack of respect, professionalism and simply it’s fraud. I have no idea who is writing all that 5 star reviews but I will send my review to any possible web site!
