Call after Call, appt. after appt. resulted in frustration and disappointment that should've been a cut and dried due diligence but due to lack of money, I wasn't being heard until Dan. I am so happy I trusted my case to attorney Suzanne Fischer Lorenz! She was there every step of the way to answer any questions I had and truly made me feel at ease through the whole ex-parte process. She responded to emails and phone calls quickly as she knew I was a nervous wreck. She was straight forward with me on my options and always had my children’s best interest in mind. Those were some of the hardest months for my family and she showed compassion and understanding, while also being realistic of the potential outcomes. Suzanne is also very quick on her feet when dealing with the opposing party and thought outside of the box in her approach to a volatile situation. I could not have asked for a better experience and will definitely retain her again for any further legal matters I have.

As a business professional, I have required legal services for countless situations over my lifetime. Mostly for normal business dealings, though a few were more adversarial in nature. In either case, selecting the best attorney for the situation is obviously important. When our family was faced with a situation involving a family member being falsely accused, I found myself out of my element as family law was an area I had never needed to explore. I did know however, not having the best attorney in this particular case would mean a devastating outcome and a tarnished record that would haunt us for a very long time.
My vast and extensive research brought our family to Usow Law and thank goodness it did. Simply put, Jody Usow is an extraordinary attorney in every way. From the beginning, she was great at managing the expectations, the process and our family. Even though our emotions and frustrations would sometimes run wild due to the unjust accusations, Jody always managed to recenter us and focus on the law and her plan to succeed.
Jody's experience and overall strategy in dealing with the opposition was brilliant. I was very impressed with her proactive tactics that set the stage for a favorable outcome. Watching Jody in the courtroom was a sight to behold. Measured and mild-mannered up until the petitioner's testimony became clearly disingenuous, and the lion was unleashed. In this day and age when we have so little accountability, it was thrilling to watch a dishonest person eviscerated on the witness stand during cross-examination due to their lack of integrity and vengeful actions. Needless to say, Jody was so compelling in the courtroom that the case was dismissed without her client (our side) ever needing to testify. Jody brought this 4-month nightmare our family was living, to an end!

I initially hired Jody to assist with a temporary restraining order case I was facing where my child’s mother over exaggerated an argument and lied to police to get the TRO. Jody stepped in last minute literally the day before, heard my story, met me at court and represented me for the hearing. The TRO was granted but Jody being the realist she is, let me know going into the hearing that it would likely be granted and why. Even then I appreciated her honesty and willingness to represent me on such short notice. After the TRO hearing my child’s mother decided she did not want me to see him so I continued to work with Jody with the goal of getting 50/50 custody and placement. Jody has proven to be a beast in the court room at every hearing we’ve had. She is very professional, down to earth, respected by the court and she knows her stuff! Her assistant Nick is just as awesome! We all worked together to accomplish the end goal and they were both very professional, nonjudgmental, and willing to educate me every step of the way. Nick even took the time to call and find out officers were in office, and ride his bicycle to the district to serve them for a court hearing the next day because they had not been able to be reached or served. I enjoyed working with Jody and her staff especially with this all being new to me, she would always answer my very long emails or phone calls in a timely manner, she worked with my family members/friends who were helping me with testifying or confirming information, and she understood how important it was to me to be apart of my sons life and have him be apart of my family and his siblings lives. She took time to educate me on what was happening throughout the entire custody battle and was patient with me when I did not do my part in a timely manner. At the end of my case, I got everything I wanted 50/50 placement and custody, even with the mother having representation and even with the TRO in place- which was a blessing in disguise because Jody fought for the mother and I to have court ordered communication through Our Family wizard where everything is documented for lawyers or the court to be able to access with no way for parents to delete information. Jody has been a huge blessing to me and my family and was worth every penny! Even after my case closed she followed up, gave me great advice and encouraged me to reach out to her if needed. I highly highly recommend and she will be the first name I give to anyone going through any family court disputes.

It was a pleasure to work with Attorney Robert Arthur. I needed an attorney to advise me for a local production company that did filming on my property without my knowledge or approval. Attorney Arthur was extremely knowledgeable, and made sure that I understood the “gray area” of the law. He listened very attentively, without interruption to make sure he had a thorough understanding of the issue at hand; and then reiterated what I was looking for.. He then explained in great detail what the law allows, and next steps. Attorney Arthur then sent out detailed correspondence to opposing counsel and myself, after every conversation we had. Attorney Arthur was always responsive to my phone calls, texts, and email.
I highly recommend working with Attorney Arthur. Some attorneys do not feel the need to communicate the law to their clients level of understanding. Some also fail to keep clients informed of their case details, step-by-step. This was not the case with Attorney Arthur, and he exceeded my expectations.

Catherine La Fleur is a very credentialed and highly experienced attorney, and she has an office of lawyers working under her… As an entrepreneur with many business holdings, I understand the skill needed to run a business and develop a team to execute goals.
My case was centered on enforcing a prenup so I can regain control of my assets in lieu of divorce, and I went to Attorney La Fleur for representation and she provided me with her associate Nick Wanic to handle the case with her direct oversight.
What I wish to convey most is that the quality of Cathy’s work and her intelligence is present in her associates, and working with her associates IS working with Cathy.
I am cognitively disabled and this makes understanding certain things difficult for me, and both Attorneys La Fleur and Wanic gave me clear communication and led me to full understanding of everything pertinent throughout my case…and it came with a Win for me, for which I am deeply grateful.

Jaime was there for me from day one. She guided me through all the paperwork and choices I had to make. Jamie listened when I had questions about the guardian ad luteum and his lawyer. Ronnie helped me through a HUGE criminal charge. Ronnie was able to turn what was originally a Class C Felony, into a small Misdimenor. I couldn't be more satisfied, he EXCEEDED expectations. What was originally up to 40 years prison, turned into a year of probation WITH expungement! Ronnie kept me well informed, and his assistant kept me updated. Sue Hansen and her team were gentle, professional, efficient, and truly caring as I went through the divorce process. The Commissioner conducting my final hearing stated, “this is not a woman state, this is not a man state, this IS a kid state.”
Sue and her team exuded that very important piece into all of our meetings. The level of hurt I had behind the reason for the divorce impacting my children was alleviated as best as possible through the mediation process.
Excellent guidance was provided in all components of this situation.
Sue and her staff were exemplary and compassionate while still aiding me through the divorce system itself.

Susan Hansen came highly recommended to me, and I can appreciate why. I was going through a difficult divorce, including considerable disputes over family assets, child placement and future monies. Sue Hansen is an excellent lawyer. She possesses all the skills one would want in a lawyer, including the ability to analyse small details, a clear communication style, and a superior level of frankness/trust. But these are not the qualities that set her apart. Sue Hansen posseses a breadth of experience that allows her to see beyond the immediate situation; she has the ability to quickly establish a context.
Sue asked me to step back and re-frame my situation. Sue wanted me to 'not live in reaction to,' but rather to focus on constructing a better future for both myself and my children. After a few meetings, she was able to understand my ex spouse's motivations and approach. Sue was quick to adjust our plan when it became apparent that we were reaching a roadblock. She was continiously working to keep the process moving forward. Sue was also willing to not budge on factors that I considered to be of the highest priority; I greatly valued her steadfastness.
Sue Hansen possesses this incredible gift of being comforting, but also firm with her clients. She helps her clients see what is best for all members involved. She not only was working on negotiating with my ex spouse and her legal team, but just as importantly, Sue was helping me to negotiate with my various selves-- the emotional, the analytical, the defiant, the uncertain. She helped me stay on course and never did I feel like I was involved in a hopeless battle of wills.
Her philosophical approach is matched only by her outstanding strategic mind. Despite numerous challenges, Sue was able to help formulate a final agreement that was livable, fair and put my children in the best position possible. I am stepping away from one of my most heartfelt tragedies with a sense of hope for my own future and for my children. I do not believe this conclusion would have been possible with any lawyer other than Sue Hansen.

It is now about 10 years since Attorney Steiner handled a divorce and custody case for our family. Without her thorough knowledge of legal theory and unwavering pursuit of pertinent evidence a child's life would have been subjected to very unfortunate circumstances. She made us feel that our case was the most important matter she was handling. She has a relationship with the court and related legal entities that give her an advantage over her opponents. She doesn't recognize the words "giving in" and has only one goal, to win.

My wife and I have known Mr. Bonneson for 25 years. He represented me when I was a passenger in a minor traffic accident and settled the issue in my favor in a very professional manner. Over the years, we have consulted with him several times at no cost to us. One of those times he was helpful in referring us to an attorney that was an expert in that type of matter.

Attorney Ortman Miller is a sensible, knowledgeable, fair, tough and responsive lawyer. Peter Ramirez is a lawyer that I have personally observed to do superb work in the area criminal defense in the many cases I have personally watched him handle. In the matter, which he handled for me, it was a family law case, every lawyer's worst night mare. A very bad case, a once in lifetime case it was that bad, with most of the odds and many unfair factors stacked up against our position. Attorney Ramirez really showed his expertise, knowledge, strategic planning to be able to obtain what I believe was the most most favorable of all the possible outcomes that could happened to my surprise, which was clearly not a likely scenario.
