I don't typically write reviews for anything , but this woman is a SAINT!
I had spent literal years consulting with different attorneys, most of which were afraid to take my case. A random person gave me her number, I called it, and when I tell you this woman took my case with a week (or so) notice of a court date, and has had my back and consulted me better than any of the other 5-10 attorneys I had spoken with prior to her, she is AMAZING.
Empathetic, to the point, financially conscious, responsive, not selfish at all, and an amazing memory to boot, she has been my absolute rock and I probably would have lost my kids if she didn't articulate correctly to me. The way she handles her business and communicates to me in such a grounded manner is precisely the reason I have my children. She is strategic as hell, like a cat waiting to pounce on the right moment, and I will never choose another attorney for family matters! The way she strategizes is also the reason why many of our disagreements can now be resolved outside of the courts, because I think many attorneys would have been impulsive in my case which would have made matters much worse in a very delicate situation! Mathew, Michael (attorneys) and Katie (paralegal) exceeded all expectations in handling my car accident injury case. The insurance company was unwilling to work with us for the first 2 years of the lawsuit but they didn’t give despite not receiving a settlement offer until 1 week before the trial date.
In the end they were able to get the insurance company to settle for the full policy amount which I was not expecting.
On top of their diligence with the case they were extremely helpful/friendly throughout the entire process explaining how the system works and keeping my spirits up despite the best efforts of the insurance company.
I can’t recommend Haley Law offices enough.

If you find yourself here, as I did last year, chances are you’re going through some major life changes. Whether it be financial or emotional, divorce can be extremely scary. Sadly, I am no exception. Last June my wife told me she wanted a divorce after 10 years of marriage. After the initial shock, sadness, and reflection, I realized it was for the best, we were not happy, even after a couple years of therapy. I now needed to get to the business end of this divorce and hire an attorney. After interviewing two other attorneys and not feeling confident, a friend of mine referred me to Michelle Jacobson-Kwok and I can’t put a price on that referral! Michelle has been a Godsend. My wife, now legally my ex, had a favorable financial position, in terms of assets, and emotional leverage, having a stronger bond with our nine-year-old daughter and a good chance of winning more custody. We were both amicable, for the sake of our daughter, but the underlying concerns were the financial settlement and shared custody. Michelle was attentive, professional and gave me a sense of calm and confidence through the nine-month process. Since my ex and I were amicable, Michelle recommended mediation rather than going to court. This not only saved us tens of thousands of dollars but also minimized the emotional toll that litigation can bring about. I don’t know if this would have been the best option if my ex and I were not amicable, but it was the best option for us. A big reason why I retained Michelle was the fact she gave me a sense of confidence if we ended up litigating. It was always the last option but an option nonetheless if my ex became unreasonable. Michelle was always apathetic to my future financial and custody concerns and confidently explained my position if we were to litigate. I NEVER felt at a disadvantage with Michelle on my side and confident there would be a favorable outcome, if we did litigate. I cannot THANK Michelle enough for her competency, professionalism, and “human touch” she brought to my case. I would, without hesitation, recommend Michelle to anyone who finds themselves needing a family law specialist.

I hired Michelle to help with a divorce case on the referral of another attorney. What a disappointment.
Michelle cared little about me or my case, only about maximizing her billable hours. There was constant nickel and diming and large fees charged for simple tasks. She would spend hours of time discussing court politics and her personal matters unrelated to my case, then bill me for them.
She was poorly prepared for court appearances. In spite of hours of my time spent preparing her with background information and prep calls for which she would bill me, Michelle would come in and "wing it" in court, saying random things and completely deviating from the strategy we had agreed on. It was as if she hadn't attended those meetings or read a single item I sent her. When the judge addressed her, she was a deer in the headlights and visibly nervous. Michelle's performance in court was spectacularly horrible.
Michelle was unreachable at pivotal moments in the case. I had an extremely urgent issue where I needed her help. In spite of urgent calls to her office, she waited three days to return my calls, putting me at a major disadvantage in the case and driving additional large legal fees that could have and should have been avoided.
Overall, Michelle billed generously and took me backwards in the case. There was no accountability, apology, or willingness to correct the errors. I would not hire her or work with her ever again.

I signed papers, was taken as a client. I couldn't contact the firm, couldn't send them messages. After I called 5 times I called the main number and complained. They reprimanded me for not leaving a voicemail as if this isn't 2024 and can't see I called 5 times. I asked to terminate the contract after I seen the level of professionalism. Beware of this place. They only want your signature then they won't do a damn thing to help you.

The first day I walked into Donna Gibbs office I was in tears and feeling totally desperate. Donna handed me a box of kleenex and told me she would do everything she could to help me but she could not promise me a positive outcome. Mine was an extreme case that involved potentially moving my infant daughter 3000 miles away and the court had to decide whether my baby girl would stay in California with me or move to Florida with her mom. Ms. Gibbs was my attorney for a long and difficult divorce. I don't think you could do any better than to have her by your side for what is often a very difficult process. To be sure, when it comes to divorce the legal system is far from perfect and I would suggest everyone try to avoid that system as much as possible. Nevertheless, sometimes you want and need an attorney. Ms. Gibbs practiced with integrity, compassion, professionalism, skill, and hard work. She also seemed to be highly respected within the legal community which I think is incredibly helpful. Additionally, she was tough and decisive at the appropriate times. I read the reviews on here and thought I found the lawyer to represent me. I called him several times before he ever returned my call, by the time he return my call it was through text. He said he couldn't represent me if I wasn't charged with a crime before ever even taking the time to call me and listen to my case. After I explained a little of my case to him through text message he then said he would call me the next morning. He didn't call me the next morning I didn't hear back from him until a day in a half later , because I sent him a message to remind him again. I understand lawyers are very busy so I decided to give him the benefit of a doubt. When I talked to Castillo he was very rude, he was talking to other people in the background he was laughing and wasn't giving me his full attention. All the kept on mentioning was that if I needed him to represent me I need to pay him first and then we can talk about my case. He didn't want to advice me and as a matter of fact he mentioned some things that just didn't seem to add up and it seemed like he was not paying attention to anything I had told him. By the time I hung up with him I felt worse, I had a lot of anxiety and began to cry. As an innocent person you expect to reach out to an attorney and be reassured that things will be okay. Castillo did the complete opposite, this is why I decide to leave a review.

I wanted to hire Frannie a few years back for a case, when i went there for a consulation for the first time, she made me feel really uncomfortable. She also made me feel i was stupid talking to her, her cold smile, attitude, and tone of voice made me feel like an insult!! I was just there to ask for help, and plus i am a customer!!!
Despite wheather if i'd her or not, but she has no customer service at all! Very rude and loud!! I am still having nightmare about chatting with her.
Finally i found someone better and nicer who handled my case very efficiently. He was also very resaonable and RESPECTFUL!
