Camy Schawm Wilcox and her team are some of the best family law attorneys in Central Florida. Camy handled my divorce and dependency case involving a termination of parental rights. I believe Camy is the only family law attorney in Central Florida who could have achieved the outcome we did, most attorneys in the area were simply not qualified or willing to take on a case this complicated.
Camy was on top of everything from day one and addressed every curveball thrown at us with speed and efficiency, (and boy were there a lot of them). Camy is very honest and straightforward with her thoughts and opinions. Personally, I love that! I never found myself wondering what she meant when she said something. I tend to be blunt myself and appreciate direct communication.
Camy can absolutely be aggressive in court when she needs to be however she’s also very respectful and courteous to all parties involved in your cases. Camy works very hard for her clients and makes it a point not to engage in unethical or unprofessional behavior. Even when the opposing side is engaging in this type of behavior Camy maintains her integrity. Time and time again, the outcomes in the end were a good reflection of her professional behavior. This certainly doesn’t go unnoticed by the judges or their assistants either.
To say Camy is a hard worker is an understatement!! She is a machine!! Camy and her team always communicated with me regularly. Camy even worked my case from her mother’s hospital bedside when it became necessary and it wasn’t uncommon to see an email come through during the evening hours. That said, when there’s nothing really happening (which happens a lot in the court system), Camy NEVER bombarded me with trivial things just to bill hours. If everything was quiet, then everything was quiet. This can be nerve wracking, however running up your bill with unnecessary questions and comments when there’s no reason would be nerve wracking as well.
Camy, associate attorney Leah, paralegals Gio and Shannon, and firm administrator Debbie are an incredible team of professionals who worked tirelessly for my family. They are absolutely the ONLY attorneys who could have done what they needed to do to protect innocent children from being placed in harm’s way due to a biological connection.
I highly recommend Camy and her team to anyone who needs a family law attorney or an attorney for a dependency case. I haven’t had a need for representation in any of the other areas of law that the firm practices in, but I wouldn’t hesitate to call them should the need arise. Camy doesn’t take on cases in areas of the law that she isn’t familiar with and if something happens to come up that she isn’t familiar with, (as it did in my cases) she never hesitated to reach out to a colleague for assistance. That speaks volumes about her character to me.
My cases certainly were not considered “normal” circumstances and this firm fought long and hard for my family until we were ALL safe. For our family, they are Superheroes!! I still think of these ladies often and my youngest still asks about them and misses them too! After going through something like we did with an amazing team of “Superheroes” standing beside us throuought the duration, there is a fondness in my heart almost like that of family that just can't be explained in words. Thank you Camy Wilcox and Associates for all you do!!

Andrea Morgan saved me. Divorce (especialy with children) Is a difficult time for anyone that goes through this process. Andrea was my second attorney on my case. My case should have been a landslide my direction after six or eight weeks with another attorney things were not going my direction like the should have been, I luckly saw the writing on the wall. After doing extensive research I called several attorneys including Morgan Divorce. After my consult it was clear Andrea and her team were the one, knowledgeable, ruthless and caring, difficult to find all three of those qualities in an attorney. She took on the difficult task of taking over a case mid stream against one of the most difficult and unrealistic attorneys in Orlando. Lisa is by far the best attorney I have worked with. She is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the law, competent, hard-working, determined, reasonably priced and genuinely cares about you and your case. I had an interstate case that was rather complex. After speaking with Lisa, I knew she was the best attorney for the job. I had called about 7 other attorneys and they were all confused about how to go about my case and they were hesitant as to my next step. Not Lisa! Lisa knew exactly what to do! She was an angel. She is also one of the hardest working attorneys I have ever encountered. At no time did I ever feel in the dark about what was going on. She kept me up to date on everything and made sure I knew what was going on at all times. She oftentimes worked from home into the wee hours of the night (thanks Lisa). I hired Laura not too long ago to help me with a Domestic Violence Injunction. Laura was always by my side and was on top of the case. She was there to answer my calls right away after dialing, whether at Midnight or Early in the morning. She did the same for any E-Mails sent to us, providing us with any documents that would be needed for the outcome we wished for. Then came the day of the hearing. She was punctual and there early, and she was sharp and was able to persuade the judge to go in a manner that is greatly done. Normally, Injunctions only last for about 1 - 2 years. My wife and I were both overdue to have our estate planning looked at. We both have children from our previous marriages, most of whom are grown. The last time I started this process with a different attorney, I was basically just sent a long questionnaire and told to get back with them when I was done. I recently reached out to Attorney Melissa Pendergrass about my current legal situation and after speaking with me she explained she was no longer focused on the type of representation I was requiring. She was extremely knowledgeable about my legal problem but felt I was better suited for another attorney! I felt a review was the least I could do seeing as she took the time to hear me out for free and refer me to another attorney she felt was best suited for my situation. It's difficult to find someone who will put your best interest in front of there financial gain and for this reason alone i felt she showed her true character that my outcome meant more than her bottom line! Kyle,
I wanted to thank you and your staff for the work you did for me in 2008 on the David Anderson Case.
Using the evidence from the civil complaint, the State Attorney's Office in Palatka filed criminal charges against Anderson, which resulted in his agreement to plead "no contest" on charges of Operating an Organized Scheme to Defraud. Anderson will receive probation provided that he pays most of the civil judgment, on which he made the first installment on paying back to me yesterday.
Two other people whom Anderson defrauded were at the sentencing, and many others are aware that Anderson pleaded "no contest" to the criminal charges. These people are grateful, as I am, that Anderson did not escape the consequences of defrauding his customers (besides myself there were eight other customers who were similarly defrauded).
Most importantly, Anderson has been prohibited from using his business to harm any other potential customers in the future.
As a result of this experience, I have learned much about the way civil and criminal law works. I respect the good work that you and others in the legal profession do every day. Our society is held together by the idea that all of will receive a fair hearing under the law, and people such as you and your staff enable that to happen.
Thank you again for the good work by yourself and your staff. I am sure many residents of our area have benefited from representation by your firm, as I have.
