I attempted to complete my divorce without using a lawyer. Despite bringing her a partially finished mess, she very willingly picked up my case, polished it and completed it for me lightning fast! She additionally helped me deal with a PFA issue concurrently and charged a very reasonable fee for everything. Thank you! I hired Amanda for a non contested divorce. I originally hired a scam artist that said he was a lawyer, that also charged double what Cook charges, and got fed up after months of hearing excuse after excuse as well as silenced phone calls. I ended up talking to my father who referred me to Amanda. Amanda immediately picked up my case and got the mess from the previous lawyer all cleaned up and filed correctly. Not only was she super professional she handled my case with a sense of urgency. Amanda returned my phone calls and emails the same day often times calling me right back. All in all my divorce was completed within a couple of months and I am very happy with Cook law. I would recommend this firm to anyone seeking legal help. She even gave me a tip on how to resolve and get my retainer amount back from the previous lawyer.

I had a horrible problem with mice at my last apartment and my landlord was unwilling to resolve the issue. I had just renewed my lease weeks before this became an issue. I knew I wouldn’t be able to get out of my lease without help, so I called Jeffrey. He was very quick to answer email and phone messages and worked very hard to get me out of my lease. Mr. Blevins was hired to assist in the probate process. He was paid $4,100.00 upfront. Over a 2 year period... accounting errors were made... Simple requests to have copies of filed court documents mailed or emailed to administrator were entirely ignored... The law firm (Mark and his wife Jane) were contacted 18 times via email/voicemail over a 3 week period requesting verification of funeral luncheon receipt sent to them from another heir, Not 1 single call/email was returned... Everyday of the week their website states the office is OPEN... but they are never there... and no one ever answers the phone... this was common even long before the coronavirus restrictions. By this point, We had lost all confidence in Mark and his wife and felt forced to find a different attorney (at additional cost) to close out the estate.

Mark was excellent through the entire process. He is knowledgeable, conscientious, considerate, and thorough. He explained every step of the process and included all the options. He followed up with every concern and made sure that I was comfortable with each action we took through the process. While this was an emotional process for me, he was there to answer any questions. Even after the procedure was completed, he took the time to answer questions even three years later.
He truly was the best choice for me.

I have used Mr. Blevins services twice for real estate transactions. Both transactions went extremely well, and all paperwork was very clear and correct. I needed title work done, and Mr. Blevins also completed that. The other transaction was an eviction. This was the first time I had ever gone through this process, and Mr. Blevins and his wife were extremely valuable. They are very knowledgeable with the current laws and even accompanied me in court. Mr. Blevins will be my first call if I need legal services again in the future.

I cannot in good conscience recommend Attn. Tigue for anyone who needs fast resolution. I retained Stephanie to assist with my divorce and child custody and initially (after my retainer of 2500 was paid) she was responsive. However as time went on it would be days before she returned calls or emails, she did not take initiative and I often had to prompt her to get things done. When the safety of your children and assets are involved this is not acceptable. When I asked her to assist with child support I was required to pay a separate retainer and she was responsive for a day and then went back to ignoring my questions. I have had to show up in court pro se because my own attorney never responded. I asked for an itemized bill at least 15 times and never received one. I chose Stephanie based on a recommendation of a friend and they too are experiencing the same issues. She seems very nice however I truly would never recommend that anyone retains her.

Julie was the attorney that brought my prolonged, nearly 2.5 year Court Master-involved divorce case to resolution. After two previous attorneys had gone on maternity leave, it could have been easy to become frustrated at the prospect of having the case transferred for a third time, however Julie assumed the case seamlessly and confidently assured me the case would continue to move along without disruption.

Zanita or Z as she likes to be called, took me through my divorce with a great deal of concern for me as well as for my children. Z didn't let my "hurry up, I just want it over" emotional responses to the divorce proceedings cost me in my sanity or in my settlement. I retained Jill’s services in 2016 after my ex forced my son and I out of the house. Jill has been fighting for my son and I ever since. During the divorce Jill was able to find pin holes in the documents from opposing counsel that could have been detrimental to my future and finances. Her articulation is supreme in and out of the courtroom. When it came to custody court, Jill was diligent in ensuring we had all the documentation we needed, and walked me through the process with such patience. During the actual hearing, I was blown away with her performance! Kind and compassionate where need be, but also tenacious and dare I say tactfully ruthless when fighting for me. Mr FOGLE recently did my husbands and my will and living will. We had considered legal zoom, but other cheaper legal websites didn't protect us as litigiously and thoroughly with other states and likely wouldn't have held up in court. His hourly charges on my bill was a little more than doing it via the internet myself, but for the hours and time he put into our wills and the pages upon pages covering all our assets and last wishes were above and beyond any other lawyer in the region. He's also helped us with family members who needed criminal counsel in court and won every case including my divorce iwhich included a PFA, child support and the full custody I sought and won thanks to him when he represented me with in court (and won my cases), before doing our wills once we were eventually married were worth it. His cost for the hours he spent on the phone 24/7/365, in person meeting us in the office, as well as coming to our home with just a few hours notice to him and the hours he spent prepping before and in court were above and beyond our expectations! I would recommend him to any and all family and friends without hesitation for both my civil needs and family criminal cases rendered were worth every penny. He saved my life and worked with me on payment! He's the best lawyer and not your typical uncaring, money digging lawyer most lawyers typically are these days!!! He reminded me of the rainmaker! We were quite disappointed in our interactions with Liz Vaysman. We contracted her for a consultation phone call, which was a limited engagement, of which we were entirely aware of. In our experience, if you hire Liz, be prepared for defensiveness, an inability to listen, and a combative atmosphere from the outset.
However, Liz spent way too much time on the call itself explaining over and over how limited our engagement was. We stopped the whole conversation to make a clear point that we were NOT interested in taking advantage of her in any way, and we clearly understood the engagement.
This was apparently not heard, and she continued to make this point over and over while we tried to salvage the conversation and get clear legal guidance for our money.
We wanted to record the session, so none of the important information we received would be forgotten by us, considering we are very busy and not lawyers. But Liz didn’t allow that. We were fine her reasoning, and we all agreed she would follow up our call with an email listing the advice and the relevant links to details.
Liz then proceeded to ghost us entirely, and it took multiple emails and phone calls and a threat to leave a negative review before we heard back from her. At that point, 4 months had elapsed.
We finally received our follow up email, with a curt apology and a repeat of her admonishment that we had not paid for any more services, and that our engagement was completed.
In our experience, if you hire Liz, be prepared for defensiveness, an inability to listen, and a combative atmosphere from the outset.

Mike was referred by another law firm that just didn't want anything to do with my case. In a county that is notorious for creating criminals out of everyday people, Mike was able to take the sting out of their bite. He has the ability to 'dumb the law' down to the level that we normal people can understand it. Never in my life would I have ever considered being a scumbag attorney, but I would consider being the kind of attorney or person that Mike Reed is. He wont win every case in this county, its not his fault, this is a very biased county, but he will try, and he will have success. I am truly grateful to the years of work that Mike has, and on occasion, still gives towards helping me deal with the revolving door that some call Justice. Sometimes life isn't fair, and the law certainly isn't, but when you're frustrated with your case and your mind starts to spiral, Mike will reel you in and get you to focus on what good can come out of your fight. years ago. I was in an ugly divorce that had taken more then 3 years when I was rescued from the situation by Michael. I had to fire the first attorney for lack of everything and he showed me how to get the settlement that I needed to get the divorce settled. Since then he has helped my son , my sister in law, and my brother in law. We were included in a mediation, fact finding conference in which Atty Christie Wells, from Lesko Law firm, represented, what turned out to be the opposing side. It was not supposed to be an adversarial telephone conference but Christie Wells started it that way and never stopped. Atty Wells overtalked everyone, did not allow any questions to be asked or full comments to be made. The real client, behind disagreeing parents, was a young child’s welfare. We were not the parents, but neutrals who had largely raised the young child interested only in the best future of this child. BE AWARE: Atty Wells was not interested in mediation, the truth, fact-finding or best interests of the child. She purposely used inflammatory statements and words to debase and misconstrue innocent situations and us personally. If she saw that a comment hurt or struck a negative cord she dug in deeper and deeper until any hope of mediation was lost. In fact, the end result was this: Atty Wells succeeded only in derailing any progress both parties had made previously. Her only goal became very apparent: destroy all chance of mediation. Score a win for her client. Truth did not matter. The young child’s interests were not even discussed. The mediation conference was stopped with no one having talked for 30 minutes except Atty Wells. This law firm uses the word zealous many, many times when describing their representation of their clients. Over-Zealous Decimation of any positive progress made between both parties is more accurate. More money was made (lucre) by attorneys on both sides due to Atty Wells’ tactics during this mediation conference. In any PA attorney’s oath are the words “ fidelity…. will use no falsehood, nor delay the cause of any person for lucre or malice.”

I would recommend Cindy Trellis Bernstein without hesitation. Cindy handled my divorce case (no children) more than 20 years ago. There was a complicated settlement, which Cindy handled with utmost skill. Many years later I had occasion to hire Cindy again to handle a dispute regarding the divorce settlement. She was even more impressive, if that's possible. Her knowledge of the law, professionalism, attention to detail, response time, and ethics are beyond expectations. One day I caught my spouse cheating, so I left her. Immediately afterwards, rather than coming to an agreement, I find myself fighting for my right to see my children. I couldn't eat or sleep. I took a couple days off work and scheduled six consultations to find a lawyer to handle my case. After four consultations I had a rough understanding of the situation and the action that needed to be taken. Then, I consulted with David. He had an immediate answer for every question I asked, and he never once turned to a book or computer for assistance finding information. He knew the court system like it was the back of his hand. Upon leaving his office I canceled the remaining consultation and informed the previous lawyers I had decided on an attorney. I paid his retainer to begin taking action and felt such relief that for the first time in three days I was able to eat a meal. Several times there were challenges brought on by my spouse to deny me of my children even going as far as to file a PFA based on a story she had fabricated. Teresa's law firm was very unprofessional. Their legal secretary released private information about my case on social media. When reported Teresa said it was all fake and made up. Clearly this was not the case and I had all of the evidence to prove so but Teresa wouldn't even acknowledge the wrong doing of her employee. Very very unprofessional.

Mark is a very professional and competent lawyer. He represented me in an auto accident case and explained in detail what the expected results would be and why in our first interview. Stephanie helped me with the mediation process for divorce. She was very capable of respecting both sides of the issues. She was knowledgeable of options we had not thought of which could save time and money. She did not pressure or rush the process. She was at times difficult to reach and not quick to respond to correspondence in a timely manner outside of the mediation room. That would be the only improvement I would suggest.

I have had wonderful dealings with Stephanie and use her as my business attorney for my LLC and have used her in reviewing covenants of non-compete for potential hires. Where I have liked dealing with her over other business and corporate attorneys is she has shown a genuine interest in my business and because of that she seems more adept at anticipating what I am looking for and my needs from a legal perspective. Where other attorneys may give me exactly what I ask for, and there is certainly nothing wrong with that approach, she has learned my language enough where she seems to be much closer to the target on the first shot. It saves a lot on the back and forth and that to me is the most frustrating aspect of working with contracts.
