If you have been accused of something please do yourself a favor and at least have a consultation with Tom. It is overwhelming to go through this experience, particularly when you have never been accused of something in the past. From the first second I sat down with Tom, it was obvious that he truly cared about me, and I felt that I had an ally in my fight. For the rest of my life, I will never forget Tom and the compassion he showed me. He inspires me and restores my faith in humanity. I have never experienced such kindness and generosity from a stranger before in my entire life. I only wish I could repay him in some way. This review is the least that I could do. We recently updated our estate documents with Laury Macauley, Esq. We have had trusts for over four decades and have worked with a number of attorneys over the years. After moving to Reno Nevada, a community property state, we needed an update. We contacted a number of estate attorneys. Almost all had 60+ page boiler plate trust templates into which they inserted relevant individualized information but most of these bloated documents had information that does not and never will be relevant to us. Such large trusts are cumbersome and inefficient since during settlement, parties must read everything to be sure something important is not missed. We wanted a more personalized straightforward trust which eliminated all the bloat, unnecessary legal jargon, generation skipping wording, minor dependents, dependent trusts, etc. etc.
Laury agreed to work with us to accomplish what we wanted…estate documents relevant to our situation written in a straightforward manner. In the end our very comprehensive trust is 22 pages long. We found her to be bright, helpful, knowledgeable and ethical. She was among a very few lawyers willing to help us create what WE wanted rather than something off the shelf. This took extra time so the process did extend over 2 months but we are extremely pleased. We would definitely recommend Ms. Macauley without reservation to others.

I should added a review years ago this man is older he does his job and he will take care of you he took me and my brother's inheritance case when nobody else would our case was very complicated and we were very poor and he guided us through the process and took care of everything even though there was complications and problems they always call you back and they explain the process this lawyer is worth your time and they are very much worth going through for probate. They also have connections and relationships established for dealing with all the aspects of probate and it made the process a lot easier on us.

“Lee Hotchkin, Esq., recently represented me in a complex DMV felony case related to my hotly contested divorce, regarding a title transfer issue, related to attempting to repair a vehicle that I had purchased new in 2003 with community income… that was involved in a minor accident that the other driver admitted fault, mutually trading insurance information.
Due to COVID restrictions and courthouse closings, Lee Hotchkin was able to postpone the hearing for almost 3 years (with my approval) while strategically negotiating with the DA to plea bargain a trumped up felony charge that was filed by two of my older children, who were given my 50% proxy community interest in our estate without my consent, who never invested a single dollar in our LLC’s, nor the vehicle that it was titled under, all at the prodding of my soon to be ex-wife.
The complexity of combining a ridiculous exaggerated felony charge, with a seemingly never ending divisive divorce, involving over-emotional older children, was a potential recipe for a disastrous outcome… that Lee Hotchkin ultimately worked to our benefit… by pleading only to a minor misdemeanor, thus avoiding a felony trumped up charge and a time consuming trial…!
Although, my attorney Lee Hotchkin and myself BOTH believed that we would have prevailed at trial had we decided NOT to settle… I realized that this legal episode was not worth the resources, emotional toll, nor the expense, to prove our point and innocence while possibly bearing the potential legal liability and outcome of having to go through a jury trial… and by taking Lee Hotchkin’s professional expert advice, we were able to obtain the best possible resolution… for the least expense… whereby by pleading “No Contest”, I also avoid being sued in the future… and in one year, Lee Hotchkin will “SEAL” my criminal record… as if this nightmare never happened…!

Kim Surratt is not only a great lawyer, she's a good person. She walked me through the hell that was my divorce, counseled me through the difficult decisions about the children, custody, child support, etc. and helped keep from going crazy when everything in my life was upside down. Divorces suck. There's no way around that. Having someone on my side that was empathetic to what I was going through, but was able to maintain a business mind about the whole thing was crucial to me making good decisions and not fighting just to fight because I was pissed. I've been back several times because of custody issues, and she's helped me navigate the ridiculousness of a crazy ex who happens to be the mother of my kids. I honestly don't think anyone could have done a better job.

John has been my lawyer for at least a year now assisting with my stressful divorce. He is an honest lawyer who won't act on a request simply because you ask; if he believes it’s not the right or fair course of action, he will not proceed. He fights for what’s best and just for his clients, especially when children are involved. Although I wasn't 100% satisfied with the outcome of my divorce and custody battle. As he mentioned in every litigation, you can’t get everything you want. I trust that John’s expertise and understanding of the judge led to a fair result. He doesn't just do what you want to charge you more or unnecessary; he adheres to the law and ensures that actions are fair.
I recently hired John again for a motion that my ex and I couldn’t agree on. I chose him because I know he will act in the best interest of me and my children. My dad passed away and my brother, two sisters and I had no idea where to start as my father left no directions. We consulted with several firms before coming to Anderson, Dorn and Rader on a recommendation. Mr. Rader had a remote conference with all of us (we're spread all over the country), listened to us, addressed our concerns in words we could understand and agreed to work with us. Rather than telling us to surrender our father's estate to someone we'd never met (as several other firms had) he encouraged us and agreed we should be involved. Throughout the process, Monica (Senior Paralegal) was phenomenal - always answering our questions promptly and accurately, even making suggestions on how to pursue items I wasn't aware we should be looking for. My siblings and I always felt we had an advocate throughout the process and that we'd been lucky to find the firm. My dad passed away and my brother, two sisters and I had no idea where to start as my father left no directions. John has been my lawyer for at least a year now assisting with my stressful divorce. He is an honest lawyer who won't act on a request simply because you ask; if he believes it’s not the right or fair course of action, he will not proceed. He fights for what’s best and just for his clients, especially when children are involved. Although I wasn't 100% satisfied with the outcome of my divorce and custody battle. As he mentioned in every litigation, you can’t get everything you want. I trust that John’s expertise and understanding of the judge led to a fair result. He doesn't just do what you want to charge you more or unnecessary; he adheres to the law and ensures that actions are fair.
I recently hired John again for a motion that my ex and I couldn’t agree on. I chose him because I know he will act in the best interest of me and my children.
