From the moment my mother stepped foot into Karen’s office, she felt safe and comfortable discussing her needs and her progress with creating the trust. Karen didn’t pressure her to sign anything until I had given my consent and had a chance to speak with her. After our conversation, I was impressed with how well she recapped everything and reassured me that things would be handled exactly as we needed.
Karen’s staff was also incredibly responsive, answering all my questions in a timely manner and providing clear timelines for when we would receive the necessary paperwork. When I went to the office to sign the documents, I was pleasantly surprised to meet Karen’s son, who is also a legal professional working alongside her. The assistant who handled my emails is also a notary, and he and his mother offer a mobile notary service in Riverside. It was reassuring to see that this family-run team, from lawyer to notary, made us feel understood and comfortable during such an important process.
For anyone looking for probate or trust services, I highly recommend Karen and her team. I spoke to over six lawyers in the LA and Riverside areas—some recommended by my company, others by my mom’s church—but none of them made us feel as supported as Karen and her team did. I’m surprised more people don’t know about her, as she and her team are truly amazing. Karen is so humble and modest about promoting herself, which may explain why there aren’t more reviews, but she absolutely deserves recognition for her exceptional service.

Mark Cantrell is an amazing attorney. I will begin by saying he was a court appointed attorney, meaning it was almost working for free, however he worked on this case as it he was being paid on a normal basis. This client is mentally handicapped, however he treated him wonderfully well and he ended up with only 2 years probation. The ins and outs of this case were very difficult to stay on top of however, even with all his other cases, either he personally returned out call or his assistant did. I would have him handle any case I had that needed an attorney.

The absolute worst attorney experience of my life. So unprofessional. Took my money and did nothing to help me. Improperly filed paperwork that put me in a worse position than I was already in and then asked me for more money after. In court the attorney (Mark Reel) had no knowledge about me or my case. No consultation before my court hearing. Then said they were going to give me a partial refund then ghosted me. Do not give them your money.

Through the whole experience one of the ladies from the office named Rhiannon she is extremely insightful and was a huge help in my case, Any unsettling feelings, or confusion about anything in my case she took time out of here day to explain everything very throughly. I had the unfortunate experience of trying to hire Mr. Brownlee for my legal needs, and I must say, it has been a nightmare trying to reach him. From the very beginning, communication has been a major issue. Despite sending emails he never responded to, and leaving phone messages he doesn’t return, I have received no response. It's incredibly frustrating to feel ignored when you're seeking professional help.
In the legal field, timely communication is crucial, and Robert Brownlee has failed miserably in this regard. Beyond the lack of communication, the overall level of service provided was disappointing. I expected a certain degree of professionalism and dedication, but instead, I was left feeling abandoned.
If you're considering hiring Robert Brownlee, I strongly advise against it. There are plenty of capable lawyers out there who value their clients and maintain open lines of communication. Save yourself the stress and frustration—look elsewhere for legal representation.

I've used Mr. Brownlee on several occasions. The first experience was when our landlards weren't accepting our rent money and taking us to court and were saying we weren't paying them so they can move back in. He fought for us 3 different times and got the job done. My latest experience was with the family law courts. He basically defended me when the other parent tried to bash my character and get full custody of the kids. I presented him my evidence and he went to work and did all he could and won my case. He has great communication skills and is very professional. I will continue to use him in the future if I need to.

I was referred to Rob to handle my very challenging divorce after my 1st attorney had a conflict of interest and could no longer represent me. I was already one year in with the first attorney and extremely stressed given the circumstances of my case.
My ex was an absolute nightmare to work with as was his over the top lawyer who looked for every opportunity to financially break me with ridiculous demands and letters. Rob made it clear to me that he would not run my bill up answering BS legal letters and he didn’t. Rob is not what I call a “bill runner” attorney unlike my ex’s attorney, who he paid twice as much for the big show his lawyer would put on throughout the two years, which ultimately got him nothing more than he was entitled to by law. Rob lawyers with integrity and professionalism and is well respected in the court room and with his peers.
My case had two parts that needed to be handled; a restraining order against my ex which was successfully done in family court by Rob and the division of assets with a foreign component, which required a great understanding of family law. Rob handled both with ease. His knowledge of family law is impressive. What I learned from this experience is that a good lawyer not only knows the law, but has tried many cases and knows how to go to trial if necessary. Rob looked at my case from ever angle providing me with the best and worst case scenarios given the facts of my case. He left the decision up to me, but gave me the realistic possibilities of each scenario. It didn’t add up for me to go to trial but had I needed to, Rob knew my case inside and out and was ready. We settled only a couple days before trial. My settlement was also challenging due to my ex’s unwillingness to be fair but Rob and I together accomplished this in a way that I was satisfied with.
After one year and two months working with Rob, I learned that he is fair, calm (even when I wasn’t), listened and represented me well. He was mindful of my financial situation and really is what all lawyers should be. He’s a trial attorney who understands settling is best if possible. He’s easily able to give you best and worst case scenarios given all the facts. Family cases are going to be stressful. It’s nice to have a calm, knowledgable, experienced and fair lawyer. No one wants to have to change attorney’s mid-stream so its best to find a good one from the get go. I highly recommend Rob McCarty and thank him sincerely for helping me through an absolute nightmare divorce. Nancy and Cristi were also very helpful throughout this two year journey, thank you both.

Robert was referred to me 48 hours before my hearing because my original attorney found a conflict of interest. I trusted him and went with Mr. McCarty. I emailed/called Mr. McCarty over 24 times. I let him know my ex-husband and his girlfriend were harassing me and saying horrible things to an in front of my children. Every request went unanswered. My ex stopped paying child support after 2.4 years of peace and harmony. He also moved in with his girlfriend over an hour away from the kids school. Finally, five months after I retained Mr. McCarty, he sent a letter to my ex's attorney. My ex's attorney laughed. He also filed a garnishment 5 months after I retained him and begged him to do so. I finally started getting child support 6 months after I retained Mr. McCarty. He informed me that the 4 months that my ex stopped paying would cost MORE money to file for that. That was never explained to me. Needless to say my ex got away with 4 months of non-payment. My ex stifled me so bad, I had to give up my children's only home (He lived with his drinking buddy for 2.5 years after we split in one room) and move the children and I in with my mother. While he took up with a much younger woman with 2 children of her own, she had some minimum wage job, and lived an hour away. he bought diamond rings for her and expensive trips to the Dominican. All the while the children and I are suffering. The mental abuse got SO bad, that I called Mr. McCarty on Jan. 4 and begged him to file for a hearing to make it all stop. He said he would the following week. He did nothing! I wanted a restraining order against my ex's girlfriend for showing up at my school where I am a teacher and trying to tell my children that I am not their mother, his new girlfriend is. All of it fell on deaf ears. I ended up having a break down from the mental and finial hardships. No one was protecting me. Now, my ex has temporary custody of my two children. I fired Mr. McCarty because he failed to protect myself and my children. I am a single mother of two and getting a retainer of $5,500, was very difficult. He wasted all of it except for about $500. Now there is a hearing on 3/28 to get my children back and I have no attorney. A psychologist, psychiatric, and my primary care doctor all agree, nothing would have happened if the abuse would have been cut off at the path by my attorney. I am going to loose when I go into court without an attorney. He made me loose my children. I can't afford to retain someone else. Additionally, we had a hearing on 1/17 for "omitted assets." I called him two days before the hearing and he said, "AHHHHH I didn't realize they didn't answer our petition!" What the hearing is in two days and you just now realized that they didn't answer, when it was served a full 6 month earlier? He also failed to tell me I didn't have to attend the hearing and I took off work to go. I ended up not going because I went to the hospital the night before with a breakdown. This man did not do him job, in my opinion.

he works very slow and he never answer the phone his secretary is very mean and unrespectful she likes to argue with you for no reason I try to get rid of very bad tenants and they finally vacate the property after nine months. because this lawyer takes for ever to file a case against these people.
they left the property and never recuperate any money they own me.

I came to Gilbert Gutierrez with my Uncle to set up a Family Trust. This Family Trust was not a straight forward Trust. It has some components in it that made it a bit complicated. Shortly after the Family Trust was set up my Uncle pasted away. Gilbert's office was very professional and helpful through this whole process. I had many questions on how to proceed as the Trustee of the Trust. Mr. Gutierrez's office guided me all along the way. Helping me step by step. They handled the transferring and recording of several properties. This process has been very smooth. The staff has always been friendly and helpful when I have questions or concerns. Jiri has been great at communicating and keeping me informed. Making time to sit down and bringing me up to date on where we are in the process. Never rushed through, always making sure my questions were answered. Gilbert has been great to defend and address issues that came up legally. I did not have to worry about attending court or how to respond when corresponding with other attorney's. Gilbert has taken care of all of this. I have been very happy with Gilbert Gutierrez and Jiri and office staff. As the Trustee of the Trust I have responsibilities and duties to fulfill that are mine to complete. Gilbert's office has been great at keeping me on track throughout this process. I am very happy with the work they have done and are doing for me.

I was referred to Mr. Robertson by the Riverside County Bar Association for help with an ongoing issue of the other party in my custody case refusing to follow any of our court orders. Mr. Robertson was very condescending and treated me like I’m the one who’s wrong because I want the order followed for once after over 200 violations. He also made a remark insinuating I’m just looking for money when, again, I’m just asking for what’s already been ordered to actually be paid.

My experience with Christian Schank was great. I needed last minute representation for a domestic violence restraining order trial and so I called into his office. After doing a consultation, I hired him and he successfully defended the restraining order and was legit in court. He is a very skilled attorney. Perhaps the worst experience I’ve ever had with a lawyer. First thing to touch on, the rates are absurd $325 for an email? Secondly do not expect any actual work to get done, there’s a reason they want you to pay up front, they are in no way going to try to close the case but rather they just want to financially take every penny they have. I took one good review and unfortunately listened to that. After talking with some other prior clients I am now aware what I read online for good reviews are likely fraud. Double and triple check all options before you go with this lawyer or you’ll pay a lot for no results.

I don't think I can find the words to describe Mr. Schank and what he did for my children and I. Nearly six years of my children and I being bullied in the courtroom. Every single road block stacked against us. Mr. Schank came into my case after four other attorney's did nothing but waste money. Mr. Schank got results. He was relentless and doesn't give up. He is ethical, smart, and I felt he really cared about my kids and I. If you have a high conflict case, where you keep getting stepped on, he is the attorney for you. I had not had a good night sleep for 6 years until Mr. Schank took over my case. My nightmares are over and my children for the first time are going to get to voice their opinion. Rudest lawyer I've ever encountered. Do not waste your time! After 6 months of nothing in QDRO and randomly blaming me for putting it on hold because I apparently made a call to their office to put it on hold. When I asked for court order for the hold, he "resumes it". When I asked him what has been done so far, he said "your problem will be handled and we're done talking" and hangs up on me. Very dismissive. I'm not sure how they allow him to practice still. From the reviews, it's apparently not just my experience with him. He twists what was said and asked to blame the clients. Beware!

I wish to personally thank Attorney David Ruegg and his Staff for the outstanding job of handling our QDROs. When it came time to start the process, the one and only thing my “ex” and I agreed on was having Attorney Ruegg process the division of our retirement accounts and OCERS pension. For a minimal retainer fee, it is well worth the cost to hire a QDRO attorney to handle all retirement accounts, regardless if a QDRO is necessary.
My recommendation for everyone out there going through a divorce and/or has a divorce decree is:
• DO NOT use a divorce attorney. Hire a QDRO Attorney (David Ruegg) that specializes in this type of law.
• BE PATIENT. Your retirement funds will eventually be divided. Depending on the length of marriage, number of accounts and cooperation by both parties, it may take time. Attorney Ruegg is not receiving a dime more than the initial retainer, so he wants your QDROs to be resolved in a timely manner, just as much as you do.
At the end of the day, I received what was rightfully owed to me - my fair share of the retirement funds and Survivor Benefits to a County Retirement Pension, which is something my “ex” tried to prevent me from receiving! I have a tremendous amount of gratitude and respect for Attorney David Ruegg for his competency, hard work and knowledge of the process.

He is good. He does listen to your questions and does the best to explain it to you. Considering we all had to follow the covid restrictions not always at the office they did great to accommodate me. We just need to be patient they always called back. Adriana is such a blessing to this practice always trying to do anything to help me. Adriana always went out of her way understanding my needs and what I was going thru. Customer service overall it was excellent. I definitely would highly recommend them. I have hired several attorneys in my life and I found my experience with Mr. Husen to be the best yet. He consulted me on my case and after a long discussion, he presented an approach to my case that never occurred to me. I felt at our first meeting, he spent a good amount of time in hearing my problem. Other attorneys just want to get you to sign up immediately or get you out of the office. I never felt that way with Mr. Husen. He presented my case to the Riverside Superior Court and to my surprise and elation, the Judge hearing my case ruled in my favor! I was so please with his efficiency, attention and most of all, COST. He was very reasonable! I am going to recommend him to everyone I know.

I had Ellen on retainer for about two years at the beginning of my custody case. It became very complicated, very quickly, due to the other party being extremely combative and uncooperative. Ellen helped me stay calm throughout multiple attacks against me including false allegations, false statements, etc. I would recommend her to anyone, especially those dealing with an unreasonably combative opponent.

She was great! I had lost custody of my son in 2008 due to false accusations. She told me exactly how to defend myself against every allegation that was made. If I was on my own, I never would have thought to gather the evidence that we did. We had a mini trial in family law, and not only did I regain custody, but she put my son's father in his place! I just wish she was a bit more aggressive. But in the end, I got what I hired her for!
