Jim is the MOST dependable & knowledgeable immigration attorney in the DMV area. We would 110% reach out to him again with any immigration needs in the future. No doubt, Jim is THE BEST OF THE BEST.
After our initial contact, Jim set up a virtual consultation to get more information about my wife and I’s needs (i.e. my green card application) and answered all of our questions (and we had a *lot* of them!) with clear and concise explanations. He thoroughly goes through every step and follows up via email promptly. He sent our papers on our behalf and made sure we heard back about any details as soon as possible.
As a result, our I-130 and I-485 were approved in 7 months from the date of submission, without any complications or RFEs. The interview was waived too.

Please, read the review below about the divorce.
A family member of mine reached out to this “attorney “ for bankruptcy filing. He asked for $3,000 retainer for filing for bankruptcy and was hired in April. He recommended to file in October.
He was presented with all requested documents, and although having clear email trail, he kept requesting the same documents over and over again to pump the bill.
Out of the blue in September he starts blasting emails for over 8 hours and declining to represent the client nor return the money, claiming he has exhausted the retainer. Mind you not one statement has been presented between April and September.
This is extremely unprofessional, shady and brutal tactic taking advantage of people in extreme need.
If you are considering hiring this person, please, keep on looking for more professional, knowledgeable and honest individual.

Mr. Rosenthal is truly a pursuer of the truth. He worked tirelessly on our case for over 3 years. Back and forth between him and the courts with all the documentation, he never missed a date or deadline. He always kept us updated to what was going on with the case. As well he was upfront and honest with us in that he would do his best and he felt we had a strong case.
The district court ruled against us and we appealed to circuit court, which reversed, and got an excellent outcome after it was sent back to district court for trial. In my opinion it was his persistence and knowledge that brought about results.

I would just like to say first and foremost it was an absolute pleasure working with Mr. Mercer. I had an old case from nearly a decade ago that I was looking to get expunged. Mr. Mercer always made me feel as though my case was a priority and he handled each and every obstacle we came across head on and with outstanding professionalism and just fine attorney work. I ended up getting my conviction turned into a probation before judgement (which negates the conviction) and a few months later the probation before judgment was expunged so not only was the conviction erased its now off my record completely.
