Kathryn helped administer my mom's estate with the utmost professionalism, patience, and warmth. After my mom died last year, I had no idea what to do about her estate, of which I was a trustee. I went to the large law firm which originally drew up her trust, only to find that they were going to charge me a criminal amount for a processing this relatively straightforward trust. After starting work with them, I realized I had to switch, which was painful because I didn't want this to be more complicated than it needed to be. Kathryn was recommended to me by a friend, and not only did she complete the work much more efficiently for a reasonable fee, but she took the time to explain different aspects of the estate which confused me, and recommended certain decisions, whereas the big law firm and the banks I was dealing with did no such thing. None of them could answer questions like "What do people normally do with an inherited IRA?" whereas Kathryn could. Highly recommended!

She prepared my living trust to provide protection for my children. She explained the options and gave suggestions that I had not thought about for my circumstances. She did not rush me if I asked multiple questions and made sure I understood everything. Also, she explained it in language I could understand, without the legal jargon. After I signed all my documents, she provided me with an organized binder of all of my documents and explained how I should proceed in the future . Divorce is a dark and lonely abyss. Anyone that’s ever journeyed through this perilous path to reach freedom and peace understands what I mean. Kim Ma was that beacon of hope to help me reach the destination in one piece.
There are many false presumptions and threats made during this time from both sides. There are those attorneys that promise but doesn’t deliver. Kim Ma is the gold standard. Kim provide the law and realistic expectations, not just what I wanted to hear.
In the court room, Kim was poised and established a clear respectful presence. She was factual and experienced with the process and people.
My divorce process was extremely long due to the unwillingness of the other party. During this time, I felt that my retainer and fee was reasonable and every dollar was worth it. I received a monthly statement showing where my charges were, received copies of every document, and they remembered my specific situation without me reiterating throughout the years of my case. Email and phone communication was timely and always followed through.
My only regret was not going to Kim sooner. She navigated me through the treacherous storm. Thank you.

I am so incredibly grateful I found Kim at Cameron Fernandez. I was represented by Kim in my divorce case in the Sacramento judicial system. She is an absolutely consummate professional in every aspect of the word. She's incredibly knowledgeable, intelligent, kind, patient and courteous. Above all she knows law and she knows it very well. She's a solid communicator and was there for me every step of the way. She was available for me night/ weekends/ holidays -- it made no difference. She always made time for me and made me feel like my case was a priority for her. When I begun my search for an attorney I felt extremely overwhelmed. She was referred to me by another attorney in the Sacramento area; and like I said - so tremendously grateful I found her. She is a senior attorney at her firm and is certified in family law. Her credentials speak volumes.
Her office is clean, quiet, centrally located and plenty of free parking. Not like other firms in Sacramento requiring paid parking/ meters/ parking validation... which can make a difficult emotional situation even worse. I definitely can appreciate the accessibility, and also not far from the Courthouse.
Her Administrator, Sherri is also so incredibly kind and knowledgeable as well. They make such a great team and I also appreciate her as well.

In 2016, I filed for custody and won by default. Shortly after, my ex filed to dispute custody, and filed a pretentious emergency ex parte hearing. I only had 24 hours, and knew I needed an attorney. I spoke to Kim and several others, but Kim seemed more significantly competent, assertive, clearly understood the urgency of my situation and made herself available to represent me at my hearing at which she convinced the judge not to send my daughter out of state to live with her mother.
She continued to help me navigate a difficult and contested custody fight, during which I was simultaneously fighting a criminal case that led to CPS involvement. On top of this, my ex made many false claims against me in court. Despite these major hurtles, Kim expertly represented me, and was able to get me full physical and legal custody.
In court, she was conspicuously more composed and experienced than my ex's attorney. Seeing Kim in court leaves me feeling very confident knowing that she represents me. Kim knows the law inside and out, and understands what steps and direction need to be taken.
Just recently in 2019, my daughter had to travel out of state for summer visitation. During this time, she was subjected to major emotional trauma, and placed maliciously into a psyche ward by her mother who would not let my daughter speak with her family. Her mother filed for custody in a state other than in which she lives who was not aware of the existing order and lied to the judge about existing court orders which resulted in her being awarded full custody under false pretenses. Again she made numerous wild accusations and had filed fake CPS allegations against my family members.
Once again I called Kim. Kim knew exactly what to do, and what to avoid. She communicates extremely well, making sure that I knew what I needed to be doing and what the next steps were. She emailed me even at 6 AM on the weekend, working around the clock to help me get my daughter back, which again made me feel better knowing I had Kim with me.
For this case I hired an attorney in the other state as well, and Kim coordinated perfectly with them, demonstrating a strong capability to handle even more difficult cases. She very quickly won return of custody and I was able to bring my daughter home.
I can't express strongly enough how grateful I am to have Kim as my attorney. I absolutely recommend that you give her a call if you are dealing with family law issues.

He helped me in 2019 for the custody of my daughter. Recently, I am going through another court proceeding for the same matter. I had a very difficult scenario with divorce and found myself looking for an attorney in Sacramento. I consulted with several attorneys, but none of them stood out to me as someone I could trust with my case. When I went in for a consultation with Mark- I felt like he would be a good fit. He took the time to listen and immediately started thinking of different options of approach. My case lasted over a year and finally closed with a favorable outcome. Mark throughout the whole process was always responsive and made me feel like I'm in good hands. He is self-collected and has a good sense of humor. I met Carsen almost several years ago when I hired her. My case required a special kind of attorney who could think outside of the box, someone who would know how and when to mediate with the other parties, but also when to bring things to a judge. When I hired Tara, I honestly did not know how I would survive the thought of being divorced and raising children on my own. I was depressed, angry, and destroyed. I will start by saying that I cannot praise Tara Rojas enough. Having now been through the seemingly endless strife of a custody battle, I know that if you are reading this that life might be hard right now. This is why I feel compelled to write about my experience and how Tara helped me through it. She has been the bridge between me and a relationship with my children. My case was complicated and tough, but Tara got me through it all.
My plight started with an ill-conceived marriage settlement agreement with a disingenuous former spouse. After taking up residence in another state, said former spouse then fabricated abuse allegations against me and got the court to cut off contact between me and my children. I consulted with several other attorneys, and did not get a good feeling. Then a friend referred me to Ms. Rojas, and the rest is history. I was confident in Tara’s ability to get the right outcome for my family from the moment that I met her. I went from being a stressed-out mess, to calm and confident. I attribute this to Tara’s tireless efforts on my case. She made me feel as if I was her only client, and I slept soundly knowing that she had my back.

Called in to get a consult on a business dispute, and having already contacted several attorneys, I was expecting the same pitch...to make an appointment and go there and get very little information for a lot of money. Instead, even though the attorney was in the middle of something, he set aside time to take my call and answered every question that I had without charging a penny. It really put me at ease. I got more info during that half hour than the prior week visiting a dozen other lawyers. He made some good suggestions which I tried and helped a lot, so I was able to get it taken care of without spending anything. I found Ernest from Yelp since I see many consistent good reviews about him. I took the courage to give it a shot and call him in addition to another 2 lawyers to help me with a eviction case recently. I had a very bad experience with another greedy lawyer in Sacramento regarding tenant issues. So I am very hesitant to seek help from another one. Ernest, however, is not the cheapest attorney of the three but he gave me the most thorough and informative advice even before he took on my case over the phone. He clearly was able to think from my situation. In past two months, despite my small case of eviction, he has been very patient and responsive to my so many questions. His advice is very succinct, accurate and informative. He truly lives up to his promise to help me overcome the problem. I feel that he genuinely thought from my perspectives and best interest . I have been very well informed by him throughout the whole process what my options are. He would not take advantage of my vulnerable situation and my determination to evict the bad tenant by talking me into more expensive options. He is truly a very good lawyer who really wants to help. Given the amount of time he spent on my small case, his fee is definitely reasonable and i felt very well informed from the get go. Must recommend him to many other miserable landlords in Sacramento.

Had a problem with a lawsuit. Most lawyers don't take cases halfway though, but they did. Looked around on the Internet and found this law office. The main lawyer Chen there seems pretty busy and has cases in court all the time (I guess so if everyone is trying to hire him) but still got back to me each time and seems pretty smart. I like that he told me about different strategies to see if any of them would help me before I signed up, while other places just kind of kept to themselves so I didn't know what they could do for me. Staff are pretty helpful and really really nice folks. Their prices were a lot less than other lawyers and did not charge any of the nickel and dime stuff like making copies or paperclips like the other place that I used. Really good experience considering I was having legal troubles, but I guess that's what lawyers are for. Will definitely say they are in my top referral.

I was initally very apprehensive about handing my pro se case over to any attorney, but Ms. Grevious' confidence and knowledge had me sold after our first phone call. Since then, she has proven effective, capable, and patient in the face of frustrating and complex circumstances.
I like to keep an active role in my case, and Ms. Grevious has been great about keeping me in the loop, informed, and up to date on the details. She also has a great sense of humor and could get me to laugh even in the face of the most annoying situations. (Drive 1,000 miles for a deposition, only to have opposing council postpone for two weeks? Hilarious.)

Based on my experience with Ms. Hudson, she doesn't fit the typical perception of attorneys that most people have.
1. She's sharp...very sharp.
2. She actually cares about her clients.
3. When she's focused on your case, she's totally focused on your case.
4. She treats her clients with dignity and respect.
5. Though quite aggressive from a legal standpoint, she is not hostile or arrogant with judges, other attorneys, opposing parties, or clients.
6. She is very good at "thinking on her feet" and is able to respond quickly and tactfully to situations that suddenly appear during a hearing.
In summary, if you're looking for an arrogant attorney from a big prestigious law firm, or one with a hostile "junkyard dog" demeanor, look elsewhere. However, if you're looking for a sharp attorney who doesn't fit the stereotype that spawns the plethora of lawyer jokes and causes people to despise attorneys, Ms. Hudson is worth consideration.

Like most, I never expected that I would find myself going through a divorce. This, however, was not the worst part of it. I was served with a temporary DVRO from my ex-wife that was full of the most slanderous statements that I ever could have imagined and an expressed desire to move out-of-state with our 6-year old daughter. I was feeling scared, desperate, and nearly without hope.
I was referred to Mr. Burton by a dear friend of mine and I wasn't sure what to expect. However, within a short period of time, he and I found our way to craft what we believed to be a winning strategy.

Ryan is a good attorney! He took over my husband's case from one of the worst hippie slob attorneys we've ever met. It took a while to settle the case, but those who understand workers' comp and the ever changing laws in California will understand it takes a good amount of time until the case can be settled. There's a lot of back-n-forth between quite a few entities involved, and a lot of the time, the defense drags it out. Ryan was easy to work with and talk with and kept us in the loop the entire way. He's also very knowledgeable regarding the ever changing California workers' comp laws, who the good doctors and specialist are, and other issues you will have to deal with throughout the journey. I've worked in the workers' comp field with quite a few attorneys, and I would hire Ryan again in a heartbeat.

I live outside of the state and contacted Ewing Law Group when I was faced with a stressful, frustrating case and a very short time frame that would require them to travel to another county. I spoke with Jason Ewing, and during our very first conversation it became clear that he is an honest person of integrity. I explained my situation, and he took the time to answer all of my initial questions, then advised me that he could take my case but that it would be cheaper for me to choose someone closer to the county where my case was filed. Knowing my financial situation, he also offered to help me complete paperwork myself, but in the end, I asked him to take the case to avoid the stress, and I am so glad I did. Through the course of working with Jason, he was very professional, but I felt more like I was communicating with a friend than simply an attorney. I never felt rushed, or that he was “squeezing me in”, even though I had a deadline coming up when I contacted him.
He was very knowledgeable, and was always willing to answer any and all of my questions, no matter how annoying I’m sure they were. I tend to worry but he never discouraged my “what if” questions and was patient and understanding of all my concerns. He took the time to break things down into simple terms and make sure that I understood things clearly.
I was impressed with his consistent promptness in returning calls and emails – there are attorneys who figure once they have your money, you are basically stuck, so you can wait until they get around to dealing with your situation. He informed me that he believes if he is being paid to perform a service, he owes it to his clients to address their concerns as soon as possible, which is something I really respect.
