First of all, I am embarrassed to say how much money was spent for nothing, had no idea what I was doing and like an idiot I trusted Cannon law to actually help me after filing.
Cannon law took advantage of my depression and fear of losing my daughter, I can't believe these people are in charge of family law. Luckily I was able to fire Yoka in time before my verbal decree expired after being ignored for a month.
That's right, ignored. Don't believe these fake reviews. Magically the final bill after firing Yoka totaled the amount of my savings account. Cannon law is a billing company, they pretend to do back and forth and then send ridiculous bills. Instead of being emotional I will just state facts below.
- If you notice multiple filings being created and nothing done to stop it, fire them immediately.
- If a month of silence goes by with no update then a huge bill comes in showing back and forth with no progress, fire them.
- A restraining order was filed without my permission, I found out 3 months later after the serving. My ex thought I did this. The entire family pooled there money together to outfund me.
- Yoka filied a interim fees to help me but then made a deal with the other lawyer and passed without my permission.
- Cannon law hired an home appraiser James Hammond, he compared my 2200 square ft house to 3k square ft houses in a different subdivision increasing my debt. Making me owe more to my ex.
- I cc Lennea and should could care less, no response.
-My verbal decree was spoken into record on May 17th my first redline update was Aug 8th.
-When I started coping everyone in the law firm I didn't get any reply for a month and a half.
-During two different mediations I was told let my daughter move to CA and keep everything or loose everything, nothing was escallated. Yoka said “You are a bear caught in a trap, you can make the money back”
-I was charged man hours for tracing my savings acount, proof of seperate property. To find out later the judge will give to my ex.
-During the second mediation Yoka said “You might as well give me the rest of your savings account because the judge will give it to your ex”

My arrest is being used against me in family court.. I informed attorney Capetillo of my situation and he clearly understood the urgency in the matter. Attorney Capetillo and his staff were very attentive and answered all my concerns in a timely manner. The DA rejected to file charges and he immediately called me, while on VACATION!!! He truly cares about your situation. I have dealt with several attorneys and he is a rare exception, he still shows the same amount of interest even after the payment is made. A close family friend recommended Mrs. Moreno to me for a case where I was going to lose visitation and all of my rights with my little girl. And I'm not going to lie. The court could have easily ruled in favor of my baby's momma because of my criminal history, but Mrs. Moreno made sure that didn't happen! She got in there and fought for me! My baby's momma's family has money to hire high-dollar attorneys but I don't. Her fees were reasonable enough for me to hire her. When the case was over we were in the hallway talking and her attorney came over to us, shook Mrs. Moreno's hand, and expressed how impressed he was with her mad skills! I have never seen an attorney compliment an opposing attorney that way! I can't even tell you how thankful I am for this little badass in high heels!

Jessica was my court appointed attorney and to say she was the worst attorney I have ever had is an understatement. Her nor her assistant would ever return any calls. She actually did worse by never even consulting with the district attorney. If you sign up for a job than you need to do it to the best of your ability. There was nothing good that came out of this attorney and my current attorney I have now is unraveling all her mess.

Mr. Castillo is a money hungry attorney. He has no interest in your situation and can care less of your well being. I do not recommend him at all. He charged me $3,500 with no resolution and had the nerve to ask for another $3,500 to continue the processes. I took my submission to another attorney and got my approval for $1,500. Herman is a thief and so is his wife.

The case I hired Mary for in 2023 (and finally concluded in May of 2024), dated back to 2011. It was an incredibly unique and complex case. It had to do with the mother of my daughter hiding her from me for well over 10 years and then trying to come after me for support while still not letting me be in my daughter’s life. Mary succeeded in my case with a win. In getting me joint custody and a bridge built of being re-united with my daughter. As well as proving to the courts that my daughter’s mother should not get rewarded for her actions (twice).
The courts decision was something you might only see in a movie or read in a book. But it was fair, and it was just. And I am not sure anyone other than Mary would have cared enough to even get an outcome or decision like the one we got. That is my opinion, and it is how she made me, as her client, feel.
She will not except anything less than what is right and what is fair and just for your child if this is a custody case. You are not going to find many attorneys, who will go to bat for your like they are doing it as if it were for their own child. Mary was able to fill a void inside me I have had for an exceptionally long time not being in my daughter’s life or even knowing where she was.
In the end, if you are someone going through a divorce with a child, and you are feeling defeated or have lost hope in ever seeing your child or having someone go to bat for you like they are defending their own child. Or you have not found an attorney that you feel like you can trust and treat you, and your case as if it is as personal to them as it is to you. Look no further.
Because Mary is who you want in your corner representing you. She covers all the bases, prepares with anything and everything she can to help you get a fair, and just decision for you from the courts. And does it not only for you as a client, but for your child. Her morals and integrity go beyond just being a lawyer and doing it as a job. She genuinely cares as human being, especially if there is a child involved, about what happens to your child and how it is affecting them, as well as you, her client.
None of what Mary does or did for me and my case as her client, ever made me feel like I was just a dollar sign or wasn't important. She really does put her heart and soul into her work with professionalism, compassion, care, and a drive in her to make sure that what is fair, right, and just will be achieved in the outcome of your case.
Not just for you, but for your child as well. Mary will not lie to you either just to get your hopes up if things are not in the cards for an outcome in your favor only to collect a paycheck. Or string you along. She will be honest, caring, and supportive with you every step of the way and go to battle for you. Her integrity, care, passion, honesty, knowledge, and skill, and just being a genuinely good human being overall. Is exactly what you want in an attorney. Especially for family law. It's why I admire her and why I hired her twice.

I hired him because my ex was trying to get full custody of my children. I told him then I wanted to go for full custody for my son. We ended up in mediation the ex dropped the full custody and changed kids pick up time and address for pick. I asked him why can’t we just go for full custody and he said it’s because she did the modification and since she backed down I’m good. After signing I asked when can I go back for custody and child support he said wait about 6 months cause a Judge doesn’t like to see you too soon. Well it took them 5months to get the Judge signature and I decided to file myself to find out I have to wait a year later from the time the judge signed. The judge said I should have done all of that during the last modification. It didn’t make any difference if she filed the motion. I could gotten my son and child support increase last September. Mr. Brown knew that. I can’t go to the attorney general because I have to wait 3 years from the divorce. I can only use an attorney to get my child support that due and it’s hard to trust them after they take your money and curve the truth.

It looks like there are more than one person that have experienced a violation by this law firm a violation of ethics at least. I will be filing a grievance with the state bar association I suggest the rest of you do the same.
My 39-year-old husband died of a major heart attack suddenly leaving me and his 5-year-old son alone. I asked Foster Law Firm ( Lonnie Foster ) for help to do the probate.I was charged $2,000, given the affidavits that needed to be filled out and filed with the court. These are firms that are easily found on the Internet and free to download and orint.
I was having trouble filling out the paperwork getting no help from Foster Law firm. My father went ahead and took care of the probate for me because I didn't know how to fill out the paperwork and I wasn't getting any help from my supposed lawyer.
When I ask for my $2,000 back Lonnie Foster mailed a signed letter stating the $2,000 was exhausted because of the several hours of work that he had done on my case.
He didn't do anything on my case except get up out of his chair and hand me some paperwork to fill out.
I'm sure you can imagine your husband passing away suddenly is quite an ordeal. I've lost my house I don't have a job I need all the money I can get.
Mr. Foster has taken advantage of a widow, and has performed absolutely no work for me at all. And will not give me back my money. His behavior is reprehensible, please second guess your decision to use him.

I won't deny he's a good lawyer, did exceptional work on my case and I appreciate him for it. I give him 2 stars because of his attitude, unless you throw money at him forget any legal counsel. Don't call him after 6, called him to ask a simple legal question and his response was "Are you going to hire me for this, I'm not some legal 24 hours legal advice counselor ". Extremely rude and unprofessional. Would not reccomend after this unless you want someone who just wants your money.

Bret was my husbands Attorney for his 3rd felony of the same charge in Harris County court 230. I was very worried that he was going to be gone a long while. So on my husbands first court date Bret let us know that some evidence the Prosecution claimed to have was not there, so instead of re-setting the case an entire month (like every other Lawyer has done) he re-set it for a week because we did not want a long drawn out waiting period. And the next court date Bret informed us with their evidence and his priors what he could be looking at worst and best case scenario. So he decided to re-set the case and on that next court date Bret worked some kind of magic and got him practically time served, he will be coming home in 3 weeks. I cant Thank Bret enough for his attention to detail, knowledge of the law, and staying very "on top of things". He had a way of always making me and my husband feel at ease and anytime he said he would call or do something or if I had any concerns or questions he was "On top of it" and following through with what he would tell us. I wouldn't want anyone I cared about or knew to ever use anyone but him.

I don't know who that idiot is that said she is in jail but that is another Debra Bailey. Deborah K. F. Bailey is a superb lawyer who has won every time for me. She bailed me out of two sanctions proceedings -- one with bar and one in federal court for losing my temper and suing school lawyers for racketeering. I exploded but I won the sanctions proceeding. She is the most thorough lawyer I have ever met.

THE WORST ATTORNEY!!! She took over 2 1/2years on a very simple case asking for financial records going back five years when there was absolutely no reason for it. Nothing was contested, no child custody this should have been a clean and QUICK case. Her motivation was so that she could charge a huge legal bill which she did! Once I changed attorneys the case was settled within a couple of months. Don’t waste your time or $$$
