DO NOT RETAIN SHAZIA SPARKMAN OR SPARKMAN LAW TO REPRESENT YOU! I retained her on very short notice without doing my research AND BOY DID I PAY FOR IT. Her office is understaffed and her Legal Assistants turned over 3 times in less than a year. NEVER PRODUCED AN INVOICE, BUT ALWAYS ASKING FOR MORE MONEY. She was late to every meeting, in person or ZOOM. Her office filed incorrect Financial Affd. with the court, in short, I FIRED HER. My new Attorney has requested over and over for her office to release all of my information to no avail. Even the opposing attorney was disgusted with her lack of response and I am having to produce again. If I had the multitude of errors coming out of my office that she had come out of hers, I would be out of business. Only now am I seeing all the bad reviews about this law firm...hind site is 20/20...stay clear of this firm.

Shazia is compassionate, she truly cares about her clients. She is intelligent & professional. She is amazing we couldn’t have found a better attorney. After the bad experience with the last attorney she has definitely done a total turn around. After an extensive search and consultations with almost 10 attorneys, I chose Lakeisha Simms to handle my Child Support Modification case. Modification petitions are usually straight forward but mine had a few complexities to it that Ms. Simms handled competently and admirably.
Nearly every one of her predictions regarding how long the process would take to resolution, what I could expect, etc., were all dead-on accurate.
Ms. Simms was professional, courteous, and usually responded quickly to any questions and concerns I had; all that in spite of losing one of their assistants during a very busy time.
Furthermore, the Coleman Law Groups' rates are VERY reasonable, their billing / invoicing procedures and reports are clear and easy to understand.
The level of service one receives for such reasonable rates holds a very high value proposition to me.
I would not hesitate to recommend Ms. Simms and the Coleman Law Group.

First and foremost I want to say Mr. Wardell went above and beyond for me. Dec 17th 2021 I was arrested for a charge which Carries a 15yr minimum mandatory along with a few other things. I contacted Mr.Wardell who unlike all the other attorneys I contacted asked me to come into his office and speak with him in person instead of over the phone! We met and spoke and found a number of discrepancies we formulated a game plan and he was hired. Fast forward to Oct 2022 we filed a motion to suppress the courts kept postponing we finally had a hearing Feb 2023 and had a chance to argue our arguments! When I say this man fought tooth and nail in that hearing he fought tooth and nail!! Now let’s fast forward to April 5th 2023 we finally got a ruling! MOTION GRANTED!! All evidence suppressed they violated my 4th amendment rights! Mr. Wardell answered the phone anytime I called always answered my questions and concerns! I highly recommend this man without a doubt 10/10!! Thanks again Mr Wardell!!

Thank you for making the difficult process of applying for legal citizenship status much more seamless than we could have imagined. When we were in a difficult situation needing help adjusting my legal status (foreign citizen) after getting married, he helped us navigate the complex government paperwork. He provided us with several estimates as far as timelines and when to expect to hear back, all of which were correct. My wife and I worked with Jennifer Meister on a family law matter. The issue involved a parenting plan, and the case was brought on by our son's biological father.
Jennifer is a smart and competent woman. However she is also distracted and made it clear that we were not her priority, except when it came to billing us. Jennifer conducted a marketing photoshoot during my wife's zoom mediation, meaning she was distracted and not present for much of the mediation. This mediation was covering our son's parenting agreement with his biological father, and it was the most important thing in the world to us. Clearly it was not that important to Jennifer.
During the mediation, Jennifer actually attempted to tank the mediation and told my wife it's not going to work out very early on, which per my wife was in no way the situation. We believe she did that so that we would have to move to a court case, which would continue to rack up bills. My wife was able to save it and reach an agreed upon parenting agreement thankfully, although a second mediation needed to be scheduled because Jennifer had to leave the first before it could be finalized to watch her child (which I would understand, except for the fact that she was absent for much of it doing a photoshoot, which is beyond ridiculous, and the plan could have been wrapped up in one mediation if she had actually set that time aside in her calendar). The second mediation racked the bills up further.
Since reaching that parenting agreement (which we had paid approximately $10,000 to Jennifer to reach it), we have now been charged another $6k just to recalculate child support. Every two weeks her firm sends us another retainer for $4,500, when at this point it is very minor work left over. It looks like we are going to be charged $10k for them to work through a financial affidavit and calculate child support per normal guidelines. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? They also charge us a minimum of $35 for every email sent, even if it's two sentences, and for a 10 minute phone call expect to pay close to $100. Jennifer even charged us $350 for legal research about changing a minor’s name. She’s a family law attorney and she’s charging us to research family law?? Should we pay for her law school also?
In addition to Jennifer’s ridiculous billing and complete lack of caring, she also appeared to change her mind frequently on best strategic course of action. She strongly discouraged us from getting GAL involved early on and said it will cost us a lot of money. Then 2 days before the mediation she said we should just cancel the mediation and get GAL involved. We were very confused and decided to keep the mediation, but we now realize it was because the mediation conflicted with her marketing photoshoot.
Jennifer is money hungry and does not care about you. If you are not extremely wealthy, steer clear. We fired Jennifer before finalizing child support because she is terrible. We would not have been able to finalize the parenting plan at all if we hadn’t put forth countless hours of work on our own. She certainly didn’t get it done for us.

I contacted Mr Getzin to take care of my divorce, I got him all the information that he requested and the payment, everything was fine on the first 7 or 8 months, but then things just stop moving, I will contact him and he will apologice and justify the fact that he was busy and other things, he say that will contact the judge and arrange the court day and prepare this paper or this other paper and that he will let me know later and update me on the case, finally I ask for copies of the documentation that he send to court and everything so I can consult another lawyer because he was taking too long, he give me nothing and told me that he could not continue with my case and that he was going to tell a "friend" to take care of it, my case was dismissed by the judge because he as my legal representation stopped doing his job, wasted 2 years time, money and stress...

My fiance and I rented a place from a local property management company. We had some concerns while we rented but we did not expect what would happen when we moved out. After being married for 17 years and 4 kids later, I never thought I'd get divorced. My husband met someone and wanted out. I did alot of research on the internet looking for an attorney and after meeting 6 attorneys in person, I chose Michael to represent me and I am so glad I did. There was no arguement about custody, he didn't want the burden of the kids. But trying to get child support, house payments and alimony was a huge fight. One of our boys is disabled and I've been a SAHM all their lives. Michael fought for me and the kids. He is a real family man as well and truely had our best interests in mind. The other side try to bully us and made false accusations, but in the end we prevailed and I am very happy with the results. Michael and his support staff were always available and kept me well informed as to the status of my case. Do yourself a favor and hire him if you are considering getting a divorce.

However, this firm caught my attention immediately with their fast responses in emails, phone calls with intake, and moving into a conversation with a lawyer within a day or two. They got in touch about my case quickly which was great, but the intake counselor (as sweet and helpful as she was) did not seem well prepared to discuss my case and the paralegal I spoke to seemed to become adversarial and dismissive through the course of our conversation. She complained about how much time our call had taken and kept laughing as she told me repeatedly that the attorney most likely wouldn't read all of my documentation before making a decision about whether to take my case. I found this behavior shocking and aggressive and declined to continue pursuing representation from this firm

Ingrid Hooglander is highly unprofessional. She was my opposing counsel representing my ex husband. I was advised to file a grievance against Ingrid Hooglander for violating HIPPA at court but decided not to. She is also allegedly a certified parent coordinator but I would not recommend her for those services either as it seems she enjoys causing more conflict between the parties instead of bringing the parties to a resolution to benefit herself and her pocketbook. I would recommend Barnett Gill for law services instead. Tom Gill will talk with you and give you good legal advice. He is a father and a grandfather so he understands family law. His partner Jana Barnett is highly qualified as well she is almost like his daughter in law. The attorneys at Barnett Gill will give you legal advice that is in the best interest of YOUR CHILDREN. Which is what all parents want. Ingrid Hooglander does NOT do this. She doesn't care about attachment issues of your children or anything just about her pocket book. At court Ingrid Hooglander even admitted to driving while having a scheduled meeting with her opposing counsel, my attorney. She should have been sitting in an office meeting with the opposing counsel instead of driving while conducting a meeting. Knowing my ex husband paid for her to do a half ass job isn't even comforting to me as surprising as that may sound. Just posting a review for any prospective clients as I would not recommend her even to my enemy.

It is my opinion, based on my first hand experience that Joshua Sheridan with Busciglio Sheridan & Schoeb Pa. is the least experienced lawyer in all of Tampa Bay. It is my opinion that Joshua Sheridan seriously lacks skill, knowledge and experience in the matters of family law, never mind complex matters. It is my opinion that Joshua Sheridan has no understanding , considerations, or concerns for the well being of young children in any family law cases. It is my opinion that any individual considering hiring Joshua Sheridan should seriously consider very hard hiring a lawyer that is more interested in chasing dollars than the delicate matters involving the well being of your children.

The representation I received when I retained Josh Sheridan was less than impressive. He was recommended by a mutual friend with whom he associates professionally. This is the reason my expectation for his services were more than adequate to handle my case. Unfortunately, this is not what was experienced. Listed are the various reasons:
1. He was late to every meeting and was unapologetic about it, completely disrespecting me and my time.
2. Phone meetings were minutes long but I was charged for full slotted time.
3. He was less than available to advise me when needed, sometimes for days or a week at a time.
4. His paralegal only relayed information rather than facilitate productive communication surrounding my case.
5. Voiced concerns were disregarded.
6. He was unprepared at my hearing, which he requested.
After expressing my dissatisfaction with his services and informing him I would be using different counsel moving forward, he decided to send me an invoice with inflated charges that were fabricated to make me pay more money above and beyond my retainer fee.
In summation, he’s not worth the money he charges. I unfortunately learned after the matter that he won a big case and has since been very lazy and uninterested in his subsequent cases. This comes from another attorney, not a lay-person. He may have been great at one time several years ago, but believe the recent negative reviews because this is absolutely the quality of representation you will receive. I would not recommend him to anyone and I can only believe that this will not change until his “winnings” run out. This in itself should be a red flag.

I hired Attorney Saint Jour for a Personal Injury case and he did a great job on the case. He kept me informed and he fought for me when the insurance company was trying to deny my claim. I was very happy with the way he approached the case and the way he guided me through the process. I did not have to talk to a case manager or some paralegal. I spoke to my lawyer about my case. The whole process was very frustrating since I could not work and I was in constant pain. I am happy Greg was lawyer.

I hired attorney Saint Jour at the Saint Jour Law Firm to handle a Divorce with minor children for me. I had a previous attorney that did not do much and hired attorney Saint Jour. He was very understanding and kept me well informed. He explained the process to me thoroughly. He was very prompt in returning my calls and did an excellent job on the case. I was very satisfied with the result of my case as it relates to my time sharing and child support. We hired Mr. Marchese to help us rectify an adoption that had gone terribly wrong (we are the birth family). He was the only lawyer who agreed to take our case, so we had no choice among attorneys. Mr. Marchese explained on the phone what our possible avenues of redress would be. He required $15,000, nonrefundable, up front and drew up an agreement stating all the things he would do. We said OK despite the big price tag because we were desperate to help our grandson, whom we were convinced had been placed in a very bad home.
After our first phone conversation, Mr. Marchese immediately called our adoption agency to ask what the situation was with our case and get some specifics. A couple of days later I had some questions for him and was hesitating a little about hiring him (had not signed an agreement yet). But he insisted that, with the phone call he made to the agency, he was already representing us and we were obligated to hire him. He insisted the $15K be overnighted to him.
The day after we sent the money, we found out that the whole adoption situation had changed. The adoption agency called us to say that the boy was no longer with that family, but had been handed off to a new family. They, in turn, had their own lawyer, who told us within a week or two that if we used Mr. Marchese's services they would shut down any possibility of working with us or letting us ever see our grandson.
So we had to tell Mr. Marchese to stand down--we had to somehow go it alone.
Even though Mr. Marchese put in only a handful of hours on our behalf, and even though the entire situation we had hired him to address had immediately changed to make legal remedies impossible, Mr. Marchese chose to keep the entire $15,000 fee. To enforce the "nonrefundable" nature of the fee in this case seems to take advantage of desperate people This was all very painful--we now had no lawyer, no assistance, no grandson, and no $15K.
I sent Mr. Marchese a couple of letters and emails asking him to consider a partial refund, since basically none of the things mentioned in our agreement letter ever got done due to the vastly changed situation. He never responded.

My wife and I had been battling a very unique immigration situation as I was pursuing my permanent residency. Mr. Marchese was not only extremely professional but it took him a very short time (compared to the other lawyers we consulted with) to understand the complexities of our situation and come up with a game plan that helped us achieve our goal. He was also very understanding and willing to work with our financial situation as we both were college students at the time. The fact that we were fairly young and had very little knowledge of immigration laws was the perfect opportunity for any lawyer to take advantage of. Mr. Marchese did the complete opposite and in fact educated us on quite a few things in the process. I would highly recommend this lawyer to anyone going through immigration issues as he is extremely sharp, hard working and very fair. If ever an immigration situation should arise I plan on returning to Mr. Marchese with no doubt in mind. The only regret I had with my experience was not putting up a review as soon as possible.
