A 30-month legal nightmare of proving my innocence and residency came to an end on May 7, 2024. It was Attorney Donna Jean Kuchler and her team who believed and fought for me during this ordeal. I remember early on when Donna said, "We intend to mount a vigorous defense." I believed in her and she believed in me. There is no one I would trust more than Donna Kuchler and her law firm. They prepared for my court trial filing numerous motions to dismiss, including those that were sent to the Court of Appeals.
Together we fought the fight, ran the race, and I was found not guilty on all 7 felony charges and was fully acquitted by the judge in a court trial. I have my life back. My life is different but I am free.

Fair pricing. Excellent results. Hired them to represent me for a traffic violation with points. It was reduced down to a non moving violation with no points. I drive for a living so this is important to me. If I had taken off of work I would have lost wages and probably would not have gotten the same results. It was worth the money to have them represent them. We organized everything remotely and I didn’t have to miss any work. No worries through the process. Clear communication. I would recommend them!

I found Steve to be personal and professional simultaneously. This is a feat for most of us, with lawyers being either one or the other and often neither. Steve was focused on my case and successfully found a Chapter 7 solution when the means test made it look improbable.
Steve didn't "sugar coat" the situation, and was very upfront even when he had to say something I didn't necessarily want to hear. There were no "suprises" along the way. Steve was able to mitigate the stress level associated with bankruptcy; which was a tremendous help.
From the standpoint of value, Steve's fees were very reasonable especially considering the level of responsiveness, personal service and results provided. I didn't feel like I was part of a "bankruptcy mill" or being given only cursory attention. In part, I believe, that this is because Steve is a single lawyer firm....bigger isn't always better.
I highly recommend Steve!

Mr. Cotter was able to file a chapter 7 without issues when other bankruptcy lawyers thought it wasn't possible due to the means test. He did not give up when there was clearly a need for bankruptcy protection and researched all aspects of the law to find a solution. If it wasn't for his excellent research skills my financial situation would be very bleak indeed.

I speak to the people who are looking for an attorney who is able to first of all be honest and give an accurate evaluation of your money being spent wisely. We then spoke about how things would play out in the amount of court time, phone calls (BILLED IN QUARTERLY BY THE HOUR) and one on one office strategy meetings. Attorney Cotter before taking one dollar from me, sent me to a tax advisor to see if i would be responsible for the liability if we lost the case. I had seen two other attorneys all saying I had no chance of WINNING, Attorney Cotter saw a posibility and he won my day. He is on his own with a wealth of knowledge and I think this was a key to the success. If you seek one on one personal service and do not care to be a part of the lawyer factory, I am on a 4 month holiday and that is as good as it gets! GOOD LUCK who ever you choose.

David Herring was my associate attorney for a civil suit. I was a plaintiff who had been involved in a car accident while on my bicycle and we won at trial. I had a great time working with Mr. Herring every step of the case. It was a very high bar, as they say, and couldn't be more grateful for the effort. Trial was stressful and I was counting on more communication from my attorneys which I felt lacked. The victory was a huge relief in my life, and so I would highly recommend his service.

There was a time, I was a credit disaster, I knew absolutely nothing about how credit works. I’d pay bills late thinking paying late was better than not paying at all. After paying a different attorney to set up a Living Trust, we discovered he was not knowledgeable and should not have been practicing Estate law. It caused our family much grief, stress, and problems. Someone gave us Stephen Howitz's number. He was extremely knowledgable about Living Trusts and helped us navigate around the problems caused by previous attorney. He also looked up several things for us when he wasn't recently-familiar with an issue. I highly recommend him as someone who will put the client's interests first.

Stephen was great with my on-going legal battle with my ex husband, but ended up dropping the case at a crucial moment, stating that the topic was different (although he had done work on it) and that as I hadn't paid off the large bill for the last case, he couldn't do anymore. I utilized attorney Seufert for what became an extremely long-drawn-out divorce. He went above and beyond to make sure things moved as quickly as possible on our end while continually keeping me in the loop and pushing to keep things moving. If I had questions or needed advice, he continually made himself available to assist with explanations or give his professional opinion. In the end I received an outcome that I feel was in the best interest of myself and my daughter. Even after things have been finalized, he has reached out to provide pertinent information that he feels may be helpful for me to know. The unprofessionalism, lack of representation, and blatant disregard for their client's best interest is disgraceful. Please do not hire this law firm unless you have money to burn! I have never worked with a firm that fails to communicate and is only concerned with obtaining additional funds to pursue long-term litigation.
