Dustan made time for me, answered all my questions and calmed me down. I had just been released from jail. He presented a thorough understanding of what I was up against, conservative expectations, and a reasonable flat-fee. He got the charge dropped! After having had switch lawyers due to my ex attorney sitting on my case for nearly 7 months doing absolutely nothing,I was at a standstill with a bad taste left over. If you have hired attorneys that meet the Webster dictionary definition, ie: "Attorney " is a person that has a law degree, will not be totally honest, can take your money and not earn it, will put you off until he is ready to talk to you, and/or never study your case to be able to defend you. Mr. Floyd is the only attorney that doesn't fit that definition!! You will be delighted to have Mr. John Floyd in your corner! Not one attorney that I have ever met that would ever return a check that I sent to him, because he said I paid him too much! Wow! That right there should tell you something about his integrity!!!!! He has a very calm demeanor and doesn't stretch the truth even if you don't want to hear it, he will tell you the truth. Call and set up an appointment with him and judge for yourself. You are wasting time and money on any other attorney, just hire the best, Mr. Floyd.

Entering Liberty County on a poss < 1g enhanced indictment (while on bond for same offense in Garza County, TX) Mr. Schaffer, Liebermann & Sorreson (his team) negotiated a probated plea for me. The beauty of the plea was FACT, my first TDC # was 367859, second was 412479 & BOP # 16639-077. I would have screamed FANTASY from the highest mountain however this firm is the REAL DEAL! No unrealistic expectations along the way either, just straight to the point facts. Great post conviction work as well, the firm handled an appeal for me up to and through the 5th circuit and I ran out of defense funds or I think & believe in the US Supreme Court the case would have been reversed. If you need top shelf representation spend the money and retain this firm it is worth every dime. Good luck to all!!

I recently was charged with a serious felony offense. I went to see Mr. Schaffer and at first I was a little put off by the price. The several other lawyers that I spoke to were much cheaper, but since my freedom was at stake I decided to spend the money. Mr. Schaffer and his team sprang into action and they left no stone unturned. My case went to the grand jury and Mr. Schaffer made an excellent presentation that resulted in my case being nobilled and dimissed. I don't know if another lawyer could have got the same result, but I doubt it. I have my freedom and a clean record and I am totally satisfied with the way my case was handled. I would recommend him to anyone.

Ijeoma Opara took on my case after I was told by multiple lawyers that I would not win my case. I was involved in a bad car accident and after I got all the treatment done, my old lawyer was not able to find the woman that hit me as she went on the run. I was told by my old lawyers that I would not win my case and that I would be stuck with all these medical bills. Before transferring my case to Opara, my old lawyers had been working on my case for 2 years. Once Opara took my case on it only took her a few months to find the woman, get her served, and get all my bills paid for as well as getting me paid. I would like to be clear that Nicole was appointed to me by the court system. Despite being one of the best attorneys in the state, she dedicates her time to help those who can not afford it. She is a truly kind and genuine person who clearly seeks the best in those she comes in contact with. Cordt Cullen Akers seems to lack the strategic foresight needed for effective defense. My experience was particularly disappointing as he pushed for a plea deal without thoroughly reviewing the evidence. This was especially frustrating when other defendants in the same case had their charges dismissed, suggesting the case might have lacked merit. His background as a former prosecutor might not translate well into defense strategy, leading to decisions that could be seen as overly cautious or misaligned with the client's best interests. I would caution against hiring him if you're looking for aggressive defense or a thorough case review. His approach might not be suited for everyone, especially in cases where a nuanced defense is crucial.

It involves 3 hospitals in lurking (wound care,)chi hospital in livingston and kingwood hospital on 59 I was referred to wound care by my dialysis team was told I needed to b in hospital because she said she could feel bone inside a hole infected bottom right foot but didn't have a podiatrist on staff and sent me to livingston hospital(same chain) was told there he has seen boils worse than that gave me a prescription for antibiotics and sent me home there was a exray done of my foot at livingston it stated the bone was infected .I couldn't deal with pain any longer my whole leg was real red by this time went to kingwood hospital on 59 and is a part of chi hospital chain. 1st cut off my right toe after 3 to 4 days sent me to rehab part of hospital where the nurse that checked me in,told me to sit on the bed she put no bed rIls up and I feel on cement floor when I woke up they told me 5hey incubate me (for a right toe amputation) they called my son In middle of night and asked permission to incubate me to save my life, I was supposed to b there for at max a week ,ended being there 16 to 19 days all took place last Parton may till end of June. If someone asked me do I know a good attorney, I’d say I know an EXCELLENT attorney and her name is Letitia Quinones.
Back in 2007, I needed legal assistance to help with a criminal case. A gentleman I met told me to contact the attorney he knew. The attorney he knew did not end up being the Counsel, but Letitia was given the case. Not knowing what to expect, I was extremely grateful for Letitia because she was honest and laid the cards on the table. There was no guessing or leaving without understanding. She was great! We never know why things happen the way that they do, but God sent us an Angel.
Moving forward to 2017, two cases were picked up and Letitia was the only attorney I was contacting. When you know what you are getting, there is absolutely no need to look any further.
