I am a very stubborn client. I am an unlicensed lawyer. Because of a mental health breakdown incident I was wrongly arrested and charged with a felony. Mr. Thomas' very professional, calm, patient, and genuine compassion for me over the course of six months has been a huge blessing for me and my my family. It is very hard for me to trust anyone, but once I finally relaxed and allowed Mr. Thomas to do his job and followed his instructions, things improved. I credit Lewis' outstanding reputation with the Harris County District Attorney's office and the Judiciary as a whole with his ability to shepherd my case to a "No Bill" resolution with the Grand Jury. Ijeoma Opara took on my case after I was told by multiple lawyers that I would not win my case. I was involved in a bad car accident and after I got all the treatment done, my old lawyer was not able to find the woman that hit me as she went on the run. I was told by my old lawyers that I would not win my case and that I would be stuck with all these medical bills. Before transferring my case to Opara, my old lawyers had been working on my case for 2 years. I was arrested for manufacturing a dangerous drug MDMA greater than 400 grams. It was 4 probes one for the MDMA and one for the money laundering all over the world 130 people were arrested in
16 us cities and Canada , and charged with the RICO Act. They gave me 490 months. I paid Chuck for my appeal. The only thing holding my part of the RICO was the manufacturing of the ecstasy as I was the only Chemist producing (allegedly) one million five hundred thousand pills daily. Mr. Johnson did a investigation from all angles and found the search warrant they used to find the only piece of evidence was a plain sight warrant and on video you could clearly see them remove part of a wall to get to the 5 Rubbermaid storage containers that were all full of MDMA powder unpressed. This proved Illegal search and siezure and I walked away a free man.

In which I got myself involved in and because of being a naïve person that I am wants to help everybody. I fell into a very very detrimental situation that seemed impossible to get out of. With that being said, and a short version of a long story. I was doing a favor to help two people out not getting any compensation in return. I had gotten myself in the most detrimental situation I could have ever imagined I would’ve ever faced in my lifetime. I did not realize at the time the crime that I had committed was a serious felony and I was facing 10 to life. My Father Came into town to post my bond and did his research in finding me the best criminal attorney that could represent my case and that was, Mr. Charles Johnson. I cannot thank him enough for all of the hard work he did regarding my case. Mr. Johnson went above and beyond to work on my case and got me eight years deferred adjudication, 40 hours of Community service. Entering Liberty County on a poss < 1g enhanced indictment (while on bond for same offense in Garza County, TX) Mr. Schaffer, Liebermann & Sorreson (his team) negotiated a probated plea for me. The beauty of the plea was FACT, my first TDC # was 367859, second was 412479 & BOP # 16639-077. I would have screamed FANTASY from the highest mountain however this firm is the REAL DEAL! No unrealistic expectations along the way either, just straight to the point facts. Great post conviction work as well, the firm handled an appeal for me up to and through the 5th circuit and I ran out of defense funds or I think & believe in the US Supreme Court the case would have been reversed. I recently was charged with a serious felony offense. I went to see Mr. Schaffer and at first I was a little put off by the price. The several other lawyers that I spoke to were much cheaper, but since my freedom was at stake I decided to spend the money. Mr. Schaffer and his team sprang into action and they left no stone unturned. My case went to the grand jury and Mr. Schaffer made an excellent presentation that resulted in my case being nobilled and dimissed. I don't know if another lawyer could have got the same result, but I doubt it. I have my freedom and a clean record and I am totally satisfied with the way my case was handled. Greg has helped with a complicated marijuana related offense that could have resulted in a prison sentence and was able to get a reasonable probation granted and the ability to keep working without a Texas prison record. I recommend him. Having used numerous attorney's in the past I know that it is hard to find a good one that does not want to retire on you. I have used D. A'Hern for several differant cases with myself and my family and I will continue to use him in the future as well as refer family and friends. He took the time to explain the process that I was going through and at each step explained what was happening, what I could expect and how we were going to achive the desired result. I found that he was very knowedgeable and responded in a timely manner when I asked questions about the probate process and how to proceed. This process has been very difficult to deal with since there are several family members involved and he has continued to help focus on the task at hand even when your personal character is attacked for trying to fulfill the last wishes of a loved one. If someone asked me do I know a good attorney, I’d say I know an EXCELLENT attorney and her name is Letitia Quinones.
Back in 2007, I needed legal assistance to help with a criminal case. A gentleman I met told me to contact the attorney he knew. The attorney he knew did not end up being the Counsel, but Letitia was given the case. Not knowing what to expect, I was extremely grateful for Letitia because she was honest and laid the cards on the table. There was no guessing or leaving without understanding. She was great! My experience with mr.parras comes after he was appointed to represent me on appeal out of the southern district of texas. From day one Mr parras showed his best interest in the outcome of this case.. I was charged with a federal 371 conspiracy and aiding and abetting false statements to various federal firearms dealers... was handed and 168 month sentence... during preparation of the appeal Mr parras kept me well informed on updates with the case. He argued that the evidence presented by the government was insufficient to establish the federal jurisdiction elements of the crime I was charged with and that the government evidence on its face is insufficient to establish the very important element... Mr parras explained to the judges at the 5th circuit court of appeals that the government hadn't met it's burden of proof... the government tried to argue that the forms they presented were sufficient to establish this element but a license number bearing no date of issuance of expiration without more could not have proved this element beyond a reasonable doubt no more than assuming that a driver of a vehicle posses a valid drivers license... agreeing with Mr parras the court of appeals reversed the convictions and remanded the case for dismissal... Mr parras put his best foot forward and was very professional at all times of this ongoing battle many thought was a lost cause... I want too thank Mr parras for allowing me too have my life back... I would highly recommend him to any one...

Having only recently finalized Mr. Parras for counsel and representation I will update this review upon conclusion of my case (or immediately in the event of the any extremely unexpected and/or unfortunate developments); however, I'm extremely optimistic given the attention to detail in regards to both the particulars of my case, as well as intrest in me as a person. It's obvious that Mr. Parras believes that an intimate understanding of the client bears directly upon the outcome of legfal proceeding. While I find Mr. Parras to be intelligent, articulate, and details oriented, I believe, these characteristics can be assumed for any attorney of average or better quality...even those of poorer quality. However, the more illustrious or successful the attorneys, the rarer to find those genuinely interested in clients as people, and motivated as if on a personal level, to pursuing a clients interest ass one would expect for a family member. Immediately upon hiring him, and more-so as time progresses, Mr. Parras has given just that impression: an older brother helping his younger brother navigate one of life's challenges.

I was referred to Charles Thompson to represent me in court after my arrest in West University, Houston, TX. My court date came much more quickly than I had expected, so I called him the day before I was expected in court, and he began representing me. He was not pushy, but quickly and fully informed me of the levity of my situation. His retainer was more reasonable than other quotes I received. He helped me build a positive defense from day 1. He was also familiar with the court of West University and several prosecuting attorneys, so he confidently explained the process that he would go through in trying to resolve my case. I checked in with him once per week while attending college out of state. He inquired with West U and its attorneys about my case, view dashboard camera footage, and communicated all findings to me. I had a criminal and civil cases for a car accident because I was charged with driving with a suspended license and I rear-ended the other car. I wanted to avoid jail time, and Attorney In-Chul Sohn negotiated a deal on the first court date (Class B) for just a small fine. I was very happy. He also took care of the threat of a lawsuit from the other driver. Actually, I received a traffic ticket, too, for that accident, and Attorney Sohn arranged for a small fine. So, he took care of 2 criminal charges and 1 civil case with very little I paid in fine. I was extremely happy with the way Attorney Sohn took care of all the problems.
