I would highly recommend Attorney Neil Crane, especially in the area of real estate Foreclosures, where his talent was utilized. Within the last 40 years, I have retained no less than a dozen attorneys from Connecticut to Washington, D.C., one of whom successfully represented me in a Connecticut “Supreme’ Court” case. During those years I found only one other attorney that stacked up to Attorney Neil Crane’s ability and tenacity. He was a labor attorney in Washington, D.C. with an AVVO rating of 10.0.
Attorney Crane brought a foreclosure action (on my wife’s and my behalf) within the speed of light (that’s 186,000 miles per “second”)!
Along with other tactics, he legally finessed the other side to settle our issue in a most favorable outcome. He is an example of pure work. Since “a lawyer’s time is her/his stock in trade,” it is important to the client’s wallet to retain an attorney who not only is extremely expert in her/his field, but also possesses a tireless work ethic and most importantly---has a high degree of integrity. Neil Crane and his team are the best. I was forced into signing my mother into a nursing home. They told me only my mothers assets would be affected. They lied they took her house and wanted mine as well even though my mother had nothing to do with my house. My husband had a heart attack and other things that caused him to be disabled and not be able to work anymore. I fell victim to a debt settlement company. I brought my damaged finances and credit to Ron. I was devastated I took pride in my credit and the only way out of the mess was bankruptcy. Ron was real he told me what I needed to do to improve , I was so stuck on being taken advantage of but he helped me realize it's in the past and there are tools to get right back where I was . We used Paul Kaplan's office to sell our house in New Haven. We had relocated across country before we had a chance to sell it, so we had to sell it remotely. Fortunately, we found some wonderful people to buy it and could do a for-sale-by-owner (FSBO) transaction, but we needed a capable seller's attorney's office to handle all the paperwork for us.
The entire transaction was as smooth as it could possibly be. Paul's office was very competent. We gave Paul a limited power-of-attorney to handle the transaction for us. Aside for a last minute scurry to find a notary public here (hint: use Yelp) here, there really weren't any problems at all. Anytime I had any questions at all, I knew that I could call Paul or toss him an e-mail and he'd call me right back.
After closing, Paul's office wired the balance of funds as soon as they settled the books (one business day!). Because of wire fraud, they were careful to make sure I was really me, and my bank account was really mine, which I appreciated.
Over all, I couldn't have been happier. Well, I could have been. I would have liked to have shaked the hands of Paul and his team for doing such a great job. What could have been a stressful situation (remotely selling a house) was instead a dream.
Now we have the funds to fix the fixer-upper we bought on the west coast!

I found Ed on this website and consulted with him about my outstanding debt that I couldn’t collect from one of my ex-tenants. I called twice because the first time I had to cut the call short because I was running to another meeting, he was available both times. Ed was very straight forward and told me his assessment of the situation. There was no sugar coating and upselling.
I felt that Ed was very honest and straight forward to the point. Sometimes you just need a legal expert to point you to the right direction without all the fluff.

I was rear ended while sitting at a stop sign and my car was totaled. I had no idea what to do being this was the first accident I had been in since I was a teen and I'm now 62. Having been involved in a motor vehicle accident, I knew that I needed an attorney. Unaware of the response it would yield, I went online, filled out an inquiry, and submitted it. It was a kind of pseudo- questionnaire requiring me to provide the details of my accident and a description of the injuries I’d sustained. My hope was to be contacted by a reputable counselor, one specializing in personal injury, the law of torts.
Expecting nothing in the way of quick results, I was surprised when I was suddenly inundated with calls from a host of attorneys, most of whom sounded like they were more interested in dollars and cents than they were about my welfare. Now, some may consider my attitude a bit persnickety, but I was completely turned off by the manner in which I was dealt with. After-all, I wanted someone to represent me who was just as interested in my welfare as they were about filling their coffers. At any rate, what I decided to do was plod a serendipitous course and look in the phone book to find a lawyer, one in close proximity to my home. Today, I’m grateful that I did, for in pursuing this course I crossed paths wit Chris Donlin, Esq, a lawyer who answers my calls, responds to my texts, and, perhaps most importantly, takes time to answer my questions.
I was impressed with Chris from the first, for as we talked via phone he spoke to me as if I really mattered; like he was concerned about the effects of my traumatic experience; an experience that left me hurting, both physically and mentally, and not a little bit confused. Then, too, once we’d met face-to-face, Chris exuded sincerity, emitted professionalism, manifested an uncanny grasp of personal injury law. It was these factors, among others, that indicated to me that in choosing Chris for my attorney I’d have a counselor who’d heard the clarion call for justice; the call for not only fairness and equity, but the summons for compassion, the demand for concern, the dictate for an in-depth knowledge of personal injurty law. Thus it is that I have no qualms about saying Chris Donlin is an attorney par excellence, one who has arisen at a time when mediocrity emerges with the frequency of the sun’s daily rising; a time when many, no longer walking in bright halls of integrity, now trudge through dark dungeons of greed. But having eschewed a mediocrity-laden, quick-buck mentality, Christ Dolin is a cut above the rest. In fact, he’s time and time again shown me that he intends to live out the promise he’s made to all of his clients: “. . . to relentlessly fight to help every client get back on his or her feet as quickly as possible and get the compensation they deserve”. While representing me, Chris has done not one iota less than that which he’s promised, and I don’t believe he ever will. I am quite impressed with Chris Donlin, as a legal scholar, a gentleman, and as a human being.

I reached out to this law firm from my Google search. A soft and friendly voice answered, it was attorney Edward Jurkiewicz. I nervously explained my financial situation to him and he patiently listened. Afterwards he gave me a general rundown of the process and requirements If I do decided to go with him. I wasn’t sure what to do or If I should continue to shop around for other assistance. During that conversation I felt comfortable with him so we agreed to meet in person to go over the details formally. Once we were done I agreed to take on his service. He introduced me to his paralegal Aralinde. She assisted with more of the paperwork and other documents I needed for the process. The worksheet they provided me was very thorough and had very comprehensive questions. I needed to list detailed information to complete my process. They were very thorough with the paperwork or the documents they needed do you start this process. Anytime I had a question I I ended up reaching out to them for answers. I get a really quick response, which is a great thing when when you need it immediately.
When time came to do the actual filing it was done as stated. I was scheduled a date for the trustees hearing. Unfortunately because of a current Coronavirus situation the hearing was rescheduled twice. I wanted it to be over with as soon as possible but I had no control over the current situation so I have to be patient and waited. Finally there was a set date for the hearing it was to be done via phone conferencing. I didn’t know what to expect from this set up but Edward was kind enough to inform me of how to proceed. Both Edward and Aralinde were there with me during the hearing. They both were there early and explained the rundown of the hearing. After the hearing Edward asked me if I had any questions and explained to me what to be expected.
Overall I had a really good experience with this law firm, Edward and Aralinde. They made this process for me very easy and painless. I truly recommend a service for anyone that is in the same type of situation I was in. Their service was very valuable to me. I can’t thank them enough for what they did for me. Highly recommended.

I called Chas Abate late in the process in a deed-in-lieu where I was getting the run around from the mortgage company. What took me a year to get to a stale mate he quickly brought this to a final resolution. Not many attorneys would get involved this late in the process but he not only did but went to court the next day. Many thanks to Chas and I sleep much better at night thanks to him. I would highly recommend him and it was money well spent. I even received a refund for the money the mortgage company took from my account incorrectly 2 years prior that started the whole mess in the first place. His final invoice was detailed and extremely fair. If I had to do this all over again he would be the first person I would call. He has restored my faith in the legal system after getting the run around from the attorneys from the mortgage company. Thank you Chas you are truly a good person.

We had occasion to seek Attorney Peter Lawrence's opinion concerning our unfortunate need to declare bankruptcy and then seeking a Deed in Lieu for our home from a major bank—a bank that sought to confuse, delay and bully us. Although we were in a financial situation we would have never anticipated, Peter was kind, understanding and compassionate when explaining our options.
We found him to be patient with us even when he had to re-explain aspects of the legal process we were confused about, especially with the Deed in Lieu negotiation. It seemed the bank's tactic was to send conflicting communications and it seemed that one department of the bank did not communicate with other parts, often time conflicting with previous communications and statements. Peter was able to put us at ease with his knowledge of the process and his assurance that there would a satisfactory outcome. His calm demeanor, his understanding of our embarrassment being in these difficult situation and his ability to not “talk over us”, but explain in language we could understand, made resolving our problems more endurable.
