A lawyer at this firm was trying to razzle and dazzle me. I was all for it until I was denied professional courtesy and a referral for a lawsuit I was looking into. Maybe if their lawyers spent less time on online dating and more time practicing law it could have been a win win scenario. I'd never disparage someone without personal opinion. This may be a great firm but I'm just sharing personal experiences with a SHSU hire. (Theoretically speaking)

Just keep looking for someone else to help you. This isn’t it. I was very unhappy with their service. Every single time I called them they said that whoever was working my case was busy. I never spoke with my lawyer once, i only spoke with her assistants when they finally called me back after weeks of pestering them for a simple update on my case. They took over a year to get me my money and they were NOT agressive enough with the insurance company. They say they treat you like family but never get back to you unless you basically yell at the poor receptionist you speak with. Seriously, just look for someone else to help you!

I dont dislike Andrew Tatgenhorst as a person even though he does appear very bored and generally disgruntled. However, I do have experience with him as opposing counsel and my genuine feeling/opinion is that he’s bad for kids. Andrew ramps things up, serving only himself in legal fees, and seemingly has no sight of the child at the core of the dispute. Thus, districts are paying taxpayer dollars to Andrew’s attitude rather than to children’s services. I didn’t find Andrew to be incredibly honest, the opposite in my experiences. I also noted that Andrew focused quite a lot (perhaps exclusively) on extraneous things that did not serve the child or resolution but designed to malign the student and/or their family. Unfortunately, I also witnessed harmful tactics. I would hope school districts would partner with solution oriented, student centered firms who can advance mutual interests and needs, support children, and save taxpayer dollars. I did not feel like this was the case with Andrew and Thompson Horton.

Llegué a la oficina del abogado Justice porque estaba de paso por la Long Point y solicité sus servicios para elaborar un QDRO, me parecieron personas confiables y por ello pagué por adelantado el servicio y además porque iba a salir del país. Les expliqué a ellos que necesitaba darme un tiempo para asimilar mi situación de divorcio.
Al principio parecian muy amables y profesionales, hasta que se llegó la hora de trabajar en mi caso, desde ese momento ya no me contestaron los mensajes de whatsapp (opción que me dieron para comunicarme porque iba a estar fuera del pais), los emails tampoco lo contestan; le pedí a una amiga que llame al número directo de la oficina para saber de mi caso, la secretaria Cinthia, siempre le dice que está ocupada y atiende llamadas de segundos a la velocidad de un rayo, como si mi caso no importara y da información sin pies ni cabeza.
En una ocasión la secretaria Cinthia me insinuó que si mi caso de divorcio fué por infidelidad y me dió a entender que de parte mia, creo que en ese momento ella cruzó una línea muy delicada de mi vida privada.
No dan información acerca del avance del caso, la verdad que estoy teniendo mucho dolor de cabeza y estrés con los servicios de esta oficina.
No sé si el abogado Justice está informado de todo lo que está sucediendo, pero para mi es muy urgente que mi caso avance por temas económicos, familiares y de salud.

Honestly I tried to seek help but, none was given. Have an active case with VA which is to expire soon. Sent all my paper work in as requested and nobody looked at it. Was given a response by email after a few attempts that had nothing to do with my case. Truly disappointed.

This attorney botched a traffic case for a changing lanes not in safety ticket in 1987 or 1988. He told me to take defensive driving to clear this ticket, but I was 1 month shy of being elligible to do so. The clerk would not accept my certificate. I notified him what happened. he told me he would appeal. He didn't do anything except lie to me several times about the appeal. I was later pulled over and arrested for an outstanding warrant on this ticket. There was never any appeal.

I was already drawing my Retirement, but Social Security staff said I may be eligible for Disability do to back and heart problems. I applied, but was turned down. I took my case to Ms. Day, provided my medical records and my written history. I met with her staff twice and met Ms. Day at my Disability Hearing. She was informed, articulate, assertive and a great advocate for my case.
I won and received several years back pay. Most importantly, this award raised my social security by $500 each month.

I would steer clear of hiring this guy, he is arrogant and pushy in his communication with apparently very little time to have a personal conversation to resolve issues his client is having with opposing parties and easily takes offense making it that much harder to come to a win win resolution. Mr. Weigel fought my landlord and got me out of a terrible situation. He always answered his phone or returned our calls same day. Walked us through the process and even got us some money from the landlord for moving expenses.

Mr. Weigel is a wonderful lawyer. He helped me through an abusive landlord situation. My landlord tried to charge me thousands of dollars for water damage inside of a wall. I kept reporting the mold to the landlord but he never sent anyone over to repair it and then he wanted to charge me for the damage. Mr. Weigel got me out of the lease, my security deposit, and made the landlord pay my attorney’s fees. Anyone who complains or leaves a negative review here or anywhere is probably an angry landlord because I know my landlord left him several angry reviews.
