Gotten into accident 4 and a half years ago and instead of my license being revoked and alot of jail time and not being able to see my family and kids, got everything wiped off my record and now it's all behind me. I wouldn't be an attorney today without Brian Laxton's assistance through the character and fitness process. It is not an exaggeration to say that Michigan has one of the most difficult and stressful licensure processes in the United States. Brian knew exactly what to do, the finer details of the process, and how to best present my case to both the district and standing committees. Once we prevailed at the standing committee Brian also successfully petitioned the board of law examiners to preserve my bar exam score. This was a particularly big relief since my obligations to the national guard and a major wrist surgery left me with less than a month to prepare for the July exam. If you have to go through the character and fitness process in Michigan, I highly recommend hiring Brian Laxton.

They are phenomenal, very supportive, caring and knowledgeable. they really help you navigate through the plethora of confusing hoops you have to jump through when attempting to get your Revoked Drivers License Reinstated. They also are highly experienced in out of state license restorations (like my situation was now living in SWFL). I’m only familiar with their expertise in getting drivers license back, but from my experience I would have to say no matter the case you are in great hands and they will work diligently in your matter. I highly recommend GOWER Law (Bay City) and honestly can’t thank them enough for helping me get my Freedom back after having my license revoked for 19 years and 9 months!!

He was very concise and thorough making sure he didn’t leave anything out that could be damaging to me down the road, as he explained my options. Having already gone through the divorce process with a different lawyer I was left feeling taken advantaged of, underrepresented, just a dollar sign, and had a distrust in lawyers in general. Knowing that I would need representation again in the future related to custody issues I needed to find another attorney. I remembered an attorney that spoke at Second Saturday, an informational workshop for women dealing with divorce. Colline was the lawyer that spoke about the legal issues related to divorce and her passion and expertise struck me then enough for me to remembered her years later.
I felt understood and safe with Colline and this was so no easy task because of my prior experience with attorneys. She took the time to understand my case and situation more than anyone had done previously. She not only has impressive knowledge with family court and custody she also understands and is sensitive to the personal aspect of your case. Colline knew when to give me straight facts, that at times was challenging to hear and also when to be empathize with me as person and mother.
Her abilities to represent me in the court room were just as impressive as some of her other qualities already mentioned. She was prepared and organized with all the details of my case but what I valued even more was her passion to make sure my daughters and I had the best chance at a life without consent fear. My case was not a simple and I was consistently amazed at her drive to represent me in the best way possible. Mr. Falkner has provided me with excellent legal help to settle my father's estate and to also get my own affairs in order (will, powers of attorney, lady bird deed, health care advocate, HPPA Releases).
I have always found him and his helpful office staff to be friendly, respectful, and knowledgeable. His fees are more than reasonable and he is generous with his time. He gives easy-to-understand and timely advice. He listens! He has also been willing to let me do whatever leg work and paperwork I can do on my own to save on fees. When I first met Jim I was facing a Domestic Assault charge out of Grandville Michigan. Quickly he went to work gathering information and staying in constant contact in order to dig at the case. His confidence picked me up when I felt very discouraged. I had a tremendous amount of pressure riding on the outcome of my case.
While in jail he visited me and continued to hash away at my case. He gave me hope even when I had none. His confidence, dedication and hard work as a lawyer are all virtues that you would look for in representation. Above all else he was my friend when I had none. Without any knowledge of Cronin I was led to this lawfirm from a a bit of Intel where I ended up on the phone with a firm more local, but the team there couldn't help me. That same firm suggested I called Cronin and though most of the phone calls between the team and I were loud because of my work, I was surprised that notes were taken well and I didn't have to repeat any information on further calls and conversations. Next to custody issues, is there a hotter topic than vaccines/medical between two parents that are divorced and do not see eye to eye on said topic?? What I really appreciated is that Samantha may not share my same concerns about vaccines, but she guided me objectively and accurately through my possible options and described how she could be of assistance to help us draft an agreement. My ex is a very difficult and duplicitous person to deal with. As a very loving and involved parent herself, I know family law has to be challenging. On the flip side of this, I know this makes Samantha a passionate (and tenacious) advocate for her clients. Mr. Topa worked very closely with us over the course of setting up our business. He navigated us though all the challenges from writing a business plan, setting up the legal entity, arranging financing with the bank, to navigating all the mess of forms to be filed with the state and federal governments.
