I first worked with them while they were at one organization, and they went out of their way to explain to me everything I needed to know - I was scared and in a difficult situation, and they guided me through it. When they left to work at a different organization, I followed them as a client and worked with them again (to complete a different part of my immigration process). I didn't need to at all, since they left me with so many resources, but I wanted to keep Nebula as my lawyer since I felt so much more confident with their expertise to help me and their endless patient to answer any question I had.

The law office of Matthew Baysinger is incompetent of responding to clients once they’ve received final payment. I trusted them to handle my case after my mother passed and they completely went unresponsive after they received the last payment. I have been attempting to contact them for over a year to discuss the next steps. Extremely unprofessional! Please look elsewhere!

They do what you can do on your own! I should've paid attention when I did a search. It was $$$ down the drain. He's a salesman that will make it seem likr your troubles will be taken care of but you can negotiate with your mortgage company on a modification or refinance. AND YOU CAN PUT THAT MONEY YOU WOUD PAY THEM TOWARDS THAT! You got this!

Overall not a good experience. Was attempting to file chapter 7 bankruptcy and submitted all required paperwork in October. A month later I still have no updates. On a business aspect it’s never good to tell a consumer you are going to do something and not do it. So I highly would not recommend you to file here if you are looking to file bankruptcy and looking to do it in a timely manner.

I took some some time to discuss a complex matter with Parveen. His 1 hr rate was 150$. During that time, he took 5 phone calls, and did not address my matter attentively. He made several rude comments about his customers and business associates that made me just end the meeting after just 20 minutes. I cannot believe this attorney is allowed to practice law. I do not recommend.

Estela prepared my wife's case to the best of our expectations. When we went to Juarez Mexico for her meetings and I saw how unprepared other people there were and getting rejected for missing paperwork. At that point I was so glad we had hired Estela she had us so prepared everything went smoother then what we could have imagined. Great attorney and very honest. I hired Mr. Shahzad for my citizenship case because a friend referred me to him after a good experience and I heard he won big immigration dispute cases. My friend's hopeless case of a 10 year bar was stuck in the Montreal consulate, but Raheel fought the case with the state department and the friend arrived in the US. Unfortunately I had a couple of issues on my record preventing me from getting citizenship... but with Raheel's expert knowledge on how to overcome these tough issues, I am finally well on my way on becoming a US citizen! I was very surprised to see that others have written such negative things about him on this website and seems unfair to say the least.. Anyhow... With a contentious divorce back home, and a minor child with me, I really had little hope for a quick resolution. Mr. Raheel Shahzad was hired to represent me in immigration matters by Mr.Sohail Quddussi after Sohail was paid $3,500 as my attorney to represent me in deportation matters.I did not know that Mr Sohail was not an attorney until I made a report to tha ARDC.Neither Mr. Sohail or Mr. Raheel Shahzad represent me before the Justice department after the paper work was faxed to the number they gave me from Mc.Henry County jail, after the money was paid their phone numbers went dead for two weeks then i called again the person who answered the phone said he is Raheel Shahzad and he is representing me as my attorney (never met either one of these guys) they were given to me by my brother who lives in New Jersey that they have contacts in the system and i fell for it after living here for 24 years I am afraid to return to Jamaica. Mr. Shahzad was sent some documents from my previous attorney dated 2006 and told me he could get me a bond for $30.000 do i have the money he is the best in the business , I told him I ca'not get a bond I am at the mercy of the attorney general just go in to the justice department with my documents what i have been doing for the past 24 yrs.neither one of these attorneys went to the justice department.They state they never heard that I have an attorney .Sohail sent my fiancee a receipt for the money that was deposited in TCF bank to Sohail Quddussi 12/20/2012 so until this day they took my money and i just talk to then over the phone for about two hours.I turned to the ARDC in Chicago for help but it seem i did not represent myself satisfactorily so they told me to go through arbitration or small claims court. He told the ARDC that I am a fugitive from Immigration which I was (living here all these years undocumented) and I have a child that i do not take care of (I have receipts that i have been paying child support for my son for many years) This law firm took my money and did not represent me ) I have e-mails that he sent to my fiancee that he was in front of the judge arguing for my bond (lied)I had no court date .I filed a law suite against Mr.Raheel Shahzad in the courts of Cook County and the Sherriff went on two occasions and the office is a virtual at sixty $ each plus court cost I have no money to go back to my country if these attorneys are honest they would give me my money back Raheel told the ARDC if they say give it back he would.I am hoping someone reads this and can influence these attorneys to give me my money back or help serve the summon on Mr. Raheel Shahzad to come to court to answer to my grouse and give money money back I would be grateful I need that money to help with my reintegration to my country.Twice the sheriffs went to serve their office is virtual but when the ARDC send them a letter they responded .This is the most blatant disregard I have seen that a Law Firm done to a client the thought i would i would be deported. I need to argue this case in front of the judge. Please when they got the money and I called the # the answer in different names I have the names ,I have never met these attorneys my brother who lives in New Jersey gave them to me and now he don't want to return my calls knowing I am out of immigration jail and out of $3.500, listen to me someone.Thanks.

I wish to tell, as briefly as possible, my story about the way
Mr. Donald Garner helped me acquire my United States citizenship.
Many ears ago I came to the US on a J-1 visa (cultural exchange) and met my future and present husband. We married while I was on J-1 and soon after graduation I went back to my country to discharge the two-year home country duty. Upon my return, I initiated an application for the US residency based on a marriage to a US citizen. And this is when my troubles began. My papers had been lost twice in the US Immigration and Naturalization Service, INS (as it was called then). Any time that happened I had to go back in line and wait as if applying for the first time. It took about 5 years to become permanent resident. Then, I applied for the US citizenship and that process took a number of years. I hoped, that my daughter from my previous marriage who lived with us in the US will become a US citizen based on my citizenship. It had to happen, though, before her 18th birthday. When I began applying for my legal status she was 11. By the time my citizenship application slowly moved though the INS offices she was getting close to 18! Do the math yourselves…
Then I approached Don Garner, a young lawyer out of University of Illinois College of Law. He immediately took the matters in his hands, got in touch with INS officers and expedited the interview at the INS in Chicago. Soon after, my citizenship was granted. But then, the issue of taking an oath in front of a US judge had to be addressed, too. The next naturalization oath ceremony was going to be called in three or four months. By then my daughter was going to turn 18 and be disqualified from gaining a citizenship as an underage child of a citizen. Again, Mr. Garner stepped in and intervened directly reaching to the federal judge's office, advocating on my behalf and arranging a private ceremony for me. After the naturalization ceremony he continued working on getting my daughter's legal papers in order, which was part of the process and could also go on for months. So, she celebrated her 18th birthday as a new US citizen only thanks to Don Garner's swift and decisive actions in discharging his legal duties. He showed himself to be a well-qualified, responsible and caring immigration attorney. Thank you, Don Garner!

He helped my husband and I to process our Green cards and then -when we have waited the required time to get our Citizenship, we started the process with his help. For people who have no idea as to how long it takes to become a US Citizen -fifteen years may seem not much, but it is! Wasted two years with him. Don Garner and his assistant Karen Davalle are who I hired to assist in getting my wife into the USA. Told me to provide a truck load of documents. Eighteen months later he said he never received it. I proved to him he did and then told me that the application has completely changed. Then told me he got sick and would pass my case on to other lawyers. Then he couldn't find any lawyers and he would do it himself. I had been receiving an email for three months saying he had only five more hours to work on the application. I pressed him to finish the application and I received an email with him resigning three weeks later. He mailed back the submitted paperwork and refunded the deposit. No partial application or any indication that any work that was done was returned to me. It's as if he pretended to be a lawyer.

Afshan J. Khan seemed well-spoken and kind in the beginning but after the check was deposited, I never really heard from her again. She barely did the initial immigration filing and had me go on the site myself to do most of it. And afterwards, none of the follow-up's did she let me know what to do or even respond to me. She never returned to calls and emails or if she did respond, she would just push things out saying she was traveling to NYC or something else due to the pandemic. And of course, she would never follow up. I truly regret it.

I hired this firm back in April 2024 for a relocation case. Twice they threatened to pull out even with a financial agreement with Matt. AS of today Kevin decided my case wasn't worth the firms time and wants the attorney I had to focus on " money making" cases! I understood my case was going to be lengthy cause of my ex hence why I made a financial payment plan agreement with matt. Also the payment plan was inplace cause the office was vebally over the phone taking payments and not applying them.
I did not expect the firm to back out and make me feel as my case wasn't important. I have jumped through every hoop asked. I was completely blind sided 9-5-2024 .
If you are so unlucky to hire this firm, protect yourself and get everything in writing!

I retained this firm 2.5 years ago, came in and paid all my bills in full everytime they used money from my retainer. There was 3 attorneies that left while I was with this firm one of which was the one who was reperesnting me.as soon as found out my attorney left the firm in went in and canceled my contract with this firm and asked for a fefund on my retainer and a portion was returned to me. After that 2 months later a received another bill saying I owed them more money. How when I canceled my contract and fired this firm from my case. Now I still receive emails saying I owe them money when there was 2500 dollars on my retainer which should be enough to file an appearance and a withdraw motion. I have all sorts of proof of this and will use it on court against this firm, I also have 4 ex employees that will gladly provide me statements and testify if needed, theres a reason why these people left this firm and i dont blame them, this firm has stole more money from me then any of the firms ive used before. Good luck Kevin, I make 600 bucks a week, isnt that alot of money to sue for? I will also have my current lawyer look into this and provide me everything I need to handle this matter legally.

This place is a total scam. I was charged nearly 10k for them to do absolutely NOTHING in my case. Ultimately they dropped me as a client (which was fine), I knew very early on I wanted to fire my attorney as it was evident she didn’t know what she was doing. she had no sympathy for my situation. She just kept running up the bill. There are other well known firms to consider. It may seem like they charge more but these people will take EVERYTHING from you and do nothing in return. I’m fighting a child support/ custody case and she wanted me to settle for next to nothing. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!

I hired this firm some time ago for a child visitation case and was thoroughly disappointed. The case went on for apx 18 months and all I got out of it was lighter pockets. I spent close to $10,000 including flights, appearances bogus fees, and three different attorneys the firm appointed and ended up with NOTHING!!!! I PERSONALLY do not recommend this attorney or his firm. Save your money and if forced to go with this firm, represent yourself!

I’m sure some of you have really good experiences with this man, but I did not. He is not professional, he doesn’t listen, and he doesn’t know how to communicate. When he told me he can’t have me as a client anymore, I was short with him, but I had very good reasons. He called me back to yell at me. Who does that? Had an initial visit with him, was given paperwork told to come back when all the money was together. Called on a Thursday, heard nothing. Arrived on a Monday for the office hours of 10 to 4, no one at the office. Called left a message when would they be in. I believe I called three times between the hours of 10:30 and 1:30. Wanted to get our filing started. Called back to see if anyone would be in the office the following day because I wasn’t going to make another trip out to that side of town. Was informed that he did not want to take our case. Has no interest in representation other than to take your money, seems like a low life.

One of the worst human beings I have ever met. Please avoid his services at all costs! He will charge you an arm and leg but will do absolutely nothing on your case. We paid him close to $3,000 to type up information we gave him and send it MONTHS after it was supposed to be turned in. He would never answer any emails to keep us posted on the progress of our case and only decided to schedule a meeting once I told him I was going to report him to the bar. He changed his tune really quickly after that. After our meeting, and after warning us that we would not get any of our money back if we went with someone else's services (this was my mistake for paying him the total amount up front), we decided the only thing to do was to give him another try. Fast forward to another few of months of inactivity, my new lawyer had to warn him (AGAIN) about reporting him to the bar association before he sent material I had been asking him for months.AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

Do not hire this firm or Josh Friedman in particular. They take all your money, play the game of going around and around, petition after petition with no resolution. He does not have your best interests at hand, I would make settlement agreements with my ex-husband and then the attorneys would disagree to disagree and drag it out for months and years! Charging you for every minute. A simple divorce with a very modest middle income family, cost me alone over $200,000 by the time it was finally over. I had to fire him in the middle of the mess and find another attorney.
Absurd and devastating to say the least! Then they file a lien on your home which crushes your credit report. Its enough to go through the divorce let alone be abused by money hungry attorneys who do not care if they force you into bankruptcy. I have tried to make a settlement agreement with this firm and they do not even respond for 5 months, while they continue to add penalties and interest!
"As a divorce lawyer, I look first at my clients' needs and family values before I get into the financial legalities of their case," that is a joke!

Another unhappy "client" here. I was in an accident at the end of January and spoke with Martinkus. He seemed to care about my case and assured me that he would help me. Fast forward to SEPTEMBER and I still have no information. I have never had any kind of legal dealings, so I was unsure what to expect with time frames. I have had to email or call multiple times for anyone to even get back to me. Should have been a quick case...I was hit by a drunk driver with insurance. This has just been an absolute nightmare. Victims of domestic violence/people who are against domestic violence DO NOT hire this person. She WILL side with your abuser. I was assaulted in front of my baby and finally got the courage to protect me and my kids. My daughter has nightmares about what he did and wakes up in the night crying. Instead of allowing us to be protected Anne stripped us of almost all protection and sided with my abuser. She on top of that is having my kids go to school down the street from where he assaulted me. My 2 year old has already reported that he hits her on her tummy when he’s angry, of course because of Anne martinkus I no longer can protect them from him. Genuinely destroyed our lives in one day and should be fired imo. Also she did a lazy Investigation and just a bad job in general. If you care about your kids and families safety stay far away from Anne. Every other person who I was working with was shocked and disgusted including my lawyer.
