In my experience of working with different immigration attorneys, Mr. Kolken is truly the best. He and his team really took the time to understand my situation, and then diligently gathered information to support my green card application. They also explained each step carefully and clearly, so that I was informed about what was happening during the application process.
I had a previous green card application that was denied, and my last attorney suddenly stopped responding to inquiries (later on I discovered it was due to illness). It was then that I came across Mr. Kolken, and I am truly grateful he was willing to take my case.
No words will ever be enough to commend the work that Mr. Kolken does, and I will be forever grateful to him and his team.

I had an urgent legal matter that needed immediate attention. Without any delay whatsoever, on the day of the issue arising, Russ was able to strategize on the correct actions providing multiple options, and we selected the optimal strategy moving forward in order to deal with the problem. The issue was resolved the same day, and the immediate connection and ability to speak directly greatly helped everything within the process.

I was terminated by my employer and I thought I had a case. I was either ignored or turned away because of "conflicts of interest." Russell came by way of a referral from a Labor Rights website and I am so grateful. He really looked into my case and listened to me. When Russ believes in something, he's passionate about it. I don't know anything about law and he made sure to explain each phase and had multiple courses of actions so I always knew all my options and was fully involved in each decision. At first, I was so worried. My employer had a team of legal professionals and a lot of money to pour into litigation and I definitely do not. Russ was a one man army and handled each interaction with tact and grace. In the end, we won the claim and I know it was all due to 2 things; the truth and Russ. If you need a QDRO or DRO (for divorce) this is the lawyer you need to use!!! She is the nicest, fairest most decent lawyer I have dealt with and unfortunately I have had experience with three divorce lawyers for one divorce from HELL. She is very competent and knows her stuff. I wish I could have hired her as my first divorce lawyer. Anyway, I was able to have her fix the DRO even though she's in Ithaca and I'm in the Hudson Valley! We did everything over the phone/ email. So don't let distance sway you. If you have a New York State Retirement or 401k and are getting divorced you need to call her. Don't let your divorce lawyer handle the QDRO because they could screw it up like mine did. Use an expert like Carla.

Tsirina took the time to get to know my husband and myself as people and not just as a number, she took us on as her clients and looked through our paperwork; filing for green card through marriage; that I attempted to fill out for my husband and myself which unfortunately became a little tricky due to misinformation I was given elsewhere. She was extremely thorough and detailed in everything concerning information, documentations, evidence be it photographic proof or other binding paper trails.
Tsirina kept in touch weekly especially when we had a major setback with our living arrangements, and to see if there was any other developments. Going over documentation she does more than just double checking which I personally appreciate. With her guidance and expertise on immigration filing, we were pleasantly surprised that from March 2024 to September 2024 I officially have recieved my green card and I don't think we could have done it without the detailed knowledge and assistance from Tsirina.
