Stanna prevailed where others left off; Lambda Legal, ACLU...none were able to stay the course.
Today I have victory over a four year battle with Social Security Administration to receive my rightful Widow's Survivor Benefits.
At every turn reasons were thrown in our path like nails strewn in the road to halt our progress. Didn't work. We prevailed. And I do mean we, for that is another essential attribute that Stanna processes...she works with the client not in front of our in spite of. Only leaving one star because I have to. Sue sold me the dream during our consultation over the phone. Told me everything I wanted to hear but actions did not measure up in the court room. It’s been since 2020 that I’ve lost my daughter to her father who is an absolute POS. Despite having provided mountains of proof and organizing all my exhibits. (All Sue had to do was file them, in the exact order they were in!!!!) And still NONE of them were used during my trial. It was he said vs she said and honestly the responding lawyer (Jason Pistiner) did what he was paid to do, took my daughter away and in return put me on child support. I had invested over 5 grand (putting myself in a financial bind) for Sue to be present at ONE trial and she failed me completely in many ways. Including the fact that our trial was virtual due to Covid and because her assistant Kim Yazzie failed to notify me that the trial was not going to be in person. I showed up to the court house the day of my trial where I learned it was virtual and had to sit in outside of the courthouse, literally outside. The traffic was noisy and I couldn’t concentrate on what was being said, nor did I have a way of effectively communicating with Sue to ask questions before or during my trial. To this day I am STILL fighting for justice for my daughter as she was placed in the hands of a convicted drug user/dealer who has failed my daughter completely since 2020. Please do your research before choosing Sue and make sure if you decide to proceed with her, you ask for itemized receipts of what she’s charging you for because I was never provided that information and don’t understand where 5 grand went when I did all the work and all she did was drop the ball the day of my trial. Not to mention how she claimed to have been “under the weather” the day of my trial which she seemed to be discombobulated and unfocused and even after the judge asked her if she was ok to proceed or needed to reschedule she refused to reschedule and chose to proceed as “sick” as she claimed to be. I think she intentionally failed to fight for me because she knew I would have to keep fighting (using her services) if I lost and in return it would cost another 5-10 grand if not more. That’s not how business is done. Had you won my case or even attempted to try and win my case, I wouldn’t be writing this negative review and you would have more business by word of mouth and recommendations but I would never in my lifetime refer anybody to Sue as she has proven to be untrustworthy and incompetent. The few minutes I talked to her on the phone when she needed additional information, she seemed very scatterbrained and all over the place. Which explains why her assistant isn’t good at follow ups. Blind leading the blind. By the way I noticed her 5 star reviews are from employees or friends which says a lot about her reputation! All I can say is if you’ve read through my review please consider investing elsewhere and don’t go based off the dream she sells during the phone consult. And if you’re reading this Sue, a refund would be nice.

How can you do better for your client than obtaining a settlement well in excess of what the client expected. Rich did just that. He was cost conscious asking me, if I wanted to pay for a deposition or pass due to costs? I left that chose to Rich who chose yes and I'm glad he did. The deposition appeared to have increased the settlement in mediation quite significantly. Rich was obviously very well prepared for the deposition with a good retention of the facts and issues supporting my claim. I am not an Attorney but my two kids are so I get it. Law is a business so chose a lawyer that's a winner. I did and it provided great results.

I had to change my previous stellar review after recent developments. I'm one of several families in northeastern AZ who was represented by Guidant. They won our case for us with Apache County but stopped short of seeing it through to the end. Therefore, after thousands of dollars were paid to Guidant, we have a successful win with absolutely nothing to show for it. Literally nothing is happening and we're sitting here wondering what we paid for with zero results. Why isn't Guidant acting on our behalf when the County is doing absolutely nothing to enforce our judgement?

We had a case where we had sold our house and thought we had moved on to our new residence without a hitch, when four months later, we received a letter from the buyer's attorney demanding money for repairs for items that they accused us of hiding from them in the disclosure document. Ryan was recommended by a mutual friend, and he turned out to be an excellent choice as our legal representative. At the first meeting, he was very easy to communicate with, as he listened very intently to glean all the details and documentation that we had concerning the case. He quickly came to the conclusion that our opponents had no grounds to make such financial demands and proceeded to elaborate on his strategy to defend us. I liked his plan and I liked his style. Within a just a few days, Ryan had come to an agreement with the opposing party, which resulted in them dropping the case. I never thought I would be a person who would have to hire an attorney to help resolve a simple water flood I had in my home, but the insurance left me no choice. Hiring Ryan Sandstrom was the best decision I have ever made when it came to protecting my rights and my personal assets. We hired Ryan for a case where we were being sued. Understandably, this was very unsettling and Ryan took the time to explain everything about the case, our options and possible outcomes. Buyer be ware! After visiting with a very close friend of mine regarding their Counsel, I encouraged this person to hire an exceptionally experienced and professional firm with a team that could serve their needs that wasn’t Jordan.
Jordan essentially went MIA around mid-November. Essentially, this friend of mine asked him a myriad of questions inquiring as to how things could be moved along expeditiously in order to close out their matter. No response for weeks on end.
Ironically enough, after he essentially ghosted said client, the client was presented with a bill a couple of days after reaching out to him - again, without any response to their email. After paying above and beyond the initial retainer he seemed to disappear.
As a matter of fact, he was quick quick quick to respond when new representation reached out to him (as in he responded within the same day)!
Lack of communication in this electronic age is unacceptable. I have encouraged this former client to contact the AZ Bar Association in order to recoup their financial losses with Jordan. He’s unprofessional at best. Moreover, he's running a one man show and he doesn’t have the resources to close things out quickly.
Please be certain that any person you hire to deal with a sensitive legal matter not only takes you seriously but be sure whomever you decide to work with has ownership interest in your situation and the staff to make that a reality. I find it appalling that Jordan didn’t have the chutzpah to face this client and admit that he didn’t have the resources to help them in a timely or appropriate fashion.
