Mr. Furtado was instrumental in our successful resolution of a large hail damage claim against the insurance company. He was extremely knowledgeable and his advice and strategy was absolutely client focused. His main objective was to get our damages covered. Most attorneys in this field seem to be focused on getting a reasonable settlement with with as little effort as possible. Others we interviewed were not as passionate or knowledgeable and were clearly focused on a quick settlement and little effort on their part. David understood our real need to get a new roof etc and kept this at the forefront and was willing to keep fighting until we were satisfied. Next time I will skip the public adjuster and go straight to David Furtado's firm.

I was hit by a drunk driver several months ago and had serious injuries. I wouldn't have thought of contacting a lawyer until both insurance companies, mine and other driver's, asked for recorded interviews with me. I didn't want to take a chance on saying something that would jeopardize my claim. A friend referred me to Mike Keating. He and his associate, Deidre Ostrowski, represented me throughout the process of settling my claim. I received more money than I could ever have expected. But that is only part of the story. In working through the process, I had to deal with two auto insurers, my health insurance company, two health care providers, the ambulance company, the towing company and Medicare. Amy, staff member with the firm, took care of the paperwork and kept me well informed throughout the process. She really had to educate me, since this was my first experience with such a claim. She was incredibly patient, always pleasant and very efficient. Overall, I felt that Mike and Deidre represented me very effectively, and I recommend them and the firm to anyone in a similar situation.

Charlie did a great job trying to defend my case. Although the DUI did not get dropped, he did get my careless driving dropped. DA was not budging on jail time. Danny stepped in at my last courtdate, and was able to get me IHD. On that, I was thankful. I feel I did get my $'s worth from this team. They really do try to get the best deal possible. I would say I would use them again. However I will not need their services in the future. As I will NEVER LET THIS HAPPEN TO ME AGAIN. Colorado has become tougher through the years for DUI. The cost alone with everything involved is not worth admitting to having a few drinks and refusing Breathalyzer or Blood tests! If you are ever in this situation, call these guys. They are not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive. It is worth having this team of lawyers by your side through this process.

Shawn and MarySue were successful fighting to have my LTD benefits reinstated, twice, when the insurance company decided I was no longer disabled. Later when my husband became disabled they fought successfully for him too. After my car accident, for which I was not at fault, I was referred to Sam Barfield by a friend. I have never used an attorney prior to this accident and was a bit lost in what to do next. I was in a horrific rollover collision where I was nearly killed. Another driver was at fault and crossed three lanes on the freeway, and hit me and rolled my car. My car was totally destroyed. I sustained injuries from the collision. I was not in a mental state to handle anything about this collision on my own and knew I needed to hire an advocate. I find it very odd to see the less than happy reviews for Sawaya. My experience was top notch.
I was hit by a car an now I walk like an Egyptian. Well, not exactly, but the long story is tedious and irrelevant. What matters is that I needed legal counsel to manage my claims process with the insurance companies. I was assigned Zach Elsner and Erin Threadwell as my legal team, and could not be happier.
Folks, these things are battles, and not the type that are won in days or weeks, but months, and sometimes years. Zach and Erin were perfectly communicative when I needed to act on something, had an update, or just the occasional check in to make sure they know where we all were in the process.
If your hurt, you need more than peace of mind, You need an advocate that is going to take care of business on your behalf. If you need a personal injury attorney, I think that Sawaya is a strong option. Highly professional, and more than anything else, I never felt like they were a bunch of ambulance chasers.
I hope I never have to use them again, but if I ever get rag-dolled by an SUV in the future, I know where to turn.

On September of 2020 I was in a horrible motorcycle accident that resulted in serious bodily injury. I hired Sarah McEahern to represent me through this process. I wish I had the vocabulary to express how incredible she was on my case and as a person. My case was not a simple case, it involved the Federal Government due to the person who caused my accident was a Federal Employee. Sarah was relentless in perusing my case to make sure I was able to get everything I deserved. Sarah treated me with the utmost respect, care and compassion, not only towards my case but towards me as a person. When I was confused or didn't understand some part of my case she took the time and care to explain everything to me in a manner that I could understand, always leaving me with confidence and a state of calm. Whenever the opposition would try and slow down my case, or try and throw some curve ball Sarah was never fazed by it and instead would directly confront whatever issue they brought up and put it to rest quickly and firmly. Sarah is an exceptional attorney. My case was Federal but it didn't start out that way. What you hear on the radio is true – the insurance companies simply will not take your case seriously until you file a suit. This is where I was glad to have Ken and his team on my side. I was hit by a drunk driver several months ago and had serious injuries. I wouldn't have thought of contacting a lawyer until both insurance companies, mine and other driver's, asked for recorded interviews with me. I didn't want to take a chance on saying something that would jeopardize my claim. A friend referred me to Mike Keating.
