My partner and I were in a precarious position with a third partner who tried to steal our largest client. Although other transaction attorneys were involved, it was not until James Tanner, a true litigator, got involved that we received an injunction blocking the partner from breaking our bylaws. Mr. Tanner was not only professional, but got the defendant to blatantly admit to the judge that he was in breach of the by-laws through his superior skills in cross examination and in getting the truth revealed. Mr. Cathey did an excellent job with my case. I was having a hard time dealing with the insurance company and getting nowhere for monthes. I was about to settle for what they offered me, but a family member referred me to Mr. Cathey. The settlement amount that Mr. Cathey negotiated with the insurance company on my behalf was 10 times more than what I expected to receive. He handled my case very quickly and professionally. He was very personable and never made me feel confused about what was going on. I especially liked that he kept me informed about the status of the case with the insurance company. Marcus Fernandez is a top notch attorney. I hired him for an injury case. He went above and beyond my expectations. He would keep me posted on my case often, via phone calls, since my schedule didn't all time for a face to face. He was willing to incorporate my time into his schedule.
One thing I have to say is that he asked me one question. "What do you expect to get out of this suit financially" he said to take a week and honestly think about it. Well I did just that. Now I could have thrown out a number and that would have been it. But I took his advice and listed all the specific details. Every night I was up in pain all night. All the days I missed work, family finances that occurred from this incident. I wrote the list so specific that I came down to every penny that I felt was owed to me, and details as to why.
Mr. Fernandez called me and said that with all his experience he never had someone do that. Normally they would come up with a number and that was that. I said well you asked me to really think about it and be specific. Well that's what I did.
The next step was the deposition, in which he did explain to me how difficult they defense would be and he would correct. He prepped me for just that.
One thing I have to say is that at first I went with a "popular" law firm Morgan & Morgan, because of their popularity. And they dropped the ball on my case. I learned that it's not about the person with Morgan & Morgan. You're just a number there. But with Fernandez you're an individual who matters.
Bottom line we won the case and he did get the amount I wanted and felt was fare. He was amazing and I would recommend him 100%.

Joe defended me in a slip and fall accident. The case went to a jury trial . I was looking at a potential $4.5 million judgment against me. Joe was great from the opening statements until the close arguments. I was found not guilty of negligence. As such I paid $0. Joe has a general sense of integrity that is quite evident In the courtroom. I highly recommend joe!!!
