Ray Raya represented me in early Spring of 2024. I was absolutely petrified, and sick to my stomach for months looking for a reputable lawyer. I received his contact information by word of mouth from a dear friend of mine. The day of court, I came in early but, he came in earlier. He shook my trembling hand, said it’s ok. I got it to a $100 dollar fine plus court costs. With my face bright red from fear and the lump in the back of my throat… I cleared my throat and managed to stumble out the words… am I going to lose my license?!! Tears welled up in my eyes, He said no you’re ok!! His smooth confidence just took so much anxiety away. I was petrified I’d lose my license and of course, the booming thoughts I obsessed about… how am I going to get to work?Am I going to lose my job and my home, if I can’t get to work?!!! My life is over!!! But just like that, he made a fantastic deal and I was so grateful. WOW! I got myself in some serious trouble. I had 1st and 2nd degree charges. Thankfully my parents found fantastic lawyers at the firm of Robert's and Teeters. It was a long 5 years dealing with this case. I immediately said to them I want to take this case to trial and they gave me the full confidence from the beginning. Due to the pandemic the case was prolonged for so long but I'm 100% satisfied with this firm. Matt and Mike are the perfect team. They work together so smooth and it's actually entertaining watching them consult eachother about certain situations. Mike is very knowledgeable and Matt is simply a great talker in court. They don't leave any stones unturned. They never give up any battle and at the same time are prepared for any outcome. They aren't the type to lie to you. Great to work with! I had a case in Middlesex County. There was a specific outcome I hoped for. Matthew Teeter laid out how the case would go, gave me the best and worst case scenario, he set me up with realistic goals and expectations, and he even gave me advice on what to do after the case to help with the outcome. When attending court, I was kept in the loop when I needed to be, and given proper instructions and guidance for each step of the way. To make a VERY long story short, I hired a well known
Ocean Country defense law firm who's modo was that the whole firm was behind me. Again they were supposedly the best in Ocean County. They're website looked like they could represent OJ Simpson, it was so professional even a bit intimidating, at the time I new I needed the best so I hired them. The attorney who was assigned to me, wanted me to plead guilty to a petty shoplifting charge on the very first appearance and this was also my first criminal offense. That law firm charged me a large fee so there was no way I was simply pleading guilty, otherwise what did I even hire them for? I fired that lawyer on spot in front of the judge, and the court granted me another month to find a new lawyer. Thankfully I found Steve who helped me get this charge dropped to a non-criminal ordinance which was what I needed to continue as a nursing student. When I initially called Steve I was in panic, he told me to relax and we would figure this out and that's exactly what he did. I would recommend Steve to anyone seeking legal representation. I will be calling Steve again soon to help me with a record expungement. PS. Steves fee is fair and he will help you with arrangements if needed.

I had a very complicated case. A 1st degree felony with intent to deliver. My future looked bleak. I had almost given up as I had thought this was an impossible case and I would never receive an expungement. The courts, lawyers, judges, all told me no. Not Mr. Marain, he was up for the challenge. He was always available, understanding, empathetic, intelligent, and he knows law better than anyone else I had ever encountered. He's very by the book and thorough if you have a case that you believe is eligible for expungement no matter how complicated it is you need to give Allan Marain a call. I spoke to Mr. Marain today on a PTC issue in Paterson. I was pleasently suprised on the time he spent with me going over my situation and offering the best possible outcomes he could foresee under the circumstances.

Mark Jordan, Steven Nelson and their team are the best hands down! No need to look elsewhere. When they tell you what it will cost, you will probably be think that its too good to be true. Well ITS TRUE! I first hired Steven Nelson 20+ years ago, I remember being in court and the judge did a few other cases of people with attorneys. He then noticed Mr Nelson and apologized to him and said he would have taken his case first but he didnt see him. I knew thats who I wanted after I saw that. I hired him, and he delivered. Since then, I had to use their services 3 other times. Mark Jordan did my last two which were 17 years apart. I was falsely charged in 2021 for marijuana distribution & was facing up to 5 years in the Big House. A couple months ago, Mark Jordan got the prosecutor to offer me a plea of disorderly person, waive the fine, and $23 court cost. I DENIED THE PLEA OFFER! Mr Jordan told me its up to me, and was very transparent & said if it goes to trial it would cost much more in attorney fees than $23, but that he was confident we couldnt lose the case. We never went to trial, so it wasnt any additional atrorney fee, and the case was dismissed. Ive referred 4 or 5 other people to their office, and every single one of them was more than happy. It doesnt matter if its a felony in superior court or misdeameanor/oridnance/tickets, etc in municipal court. THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE TO GO!

I received a Reckless Driving 5-point ticket in a Camden County town. Officer didn't like the way I changed lanes. We pleaded down to Unsafe Driving (Which is a larger fine but no points and no recurring insurance charges). Admittedly it had been 19 years since my last traffic violation, which I'm sure helped the judges decision... but stepping down from 5 points to no points is a huge win regardless of the circumstances (in my mind). Never had to go to a trial with officer. Simply negotiated with prosecutor at initial hearing, and judge agreed.

Barry handled my civil case in Family court ultimately with a win.
