I found Joan to be extremely effective and knowledgable with many, many years of experience on Wall Street. She was able to help me in many areas of securities law, specifically with Finra, a frivolous client complaint and a Broker Compensation and Transition Recruiting Package. She has worked in past for large brokerage firms as in-house counsel and now advocates on behalf of Financial Advisors protecting their employment rights and licenses. She is extremely kind and although sometimes we can have lengthly, detailed conversations, she had be very fair with billing. She never asked me for a retainer as I was referred to her from another client of hers.

Through Larry's representation I was able to be re-hired back to my company a couple of months after I was terminated. He had provided me legal advice several years earlier when I had challenged my performance rating. My rating never changed but through Larry's legal advice we had captured considerable documentation. Fast forward several years later I was fired after a year end re-organization. I was given a buy out and had 30 days to accept the offer. I contacted Larry and hired him to see what could be done. Because he knew my previous history and how much I still wanted to work for the company he negotiated with my company's counsel to get me re-instated. I got my job back because of him and to this day thriving with my company. I will be forever grateful for Larry's counsel.

I met Ed through a client that he was assisting on a matter totally unrelated to mine. Ed agreed at some point to give my matter a review. He totally managed expectations during the time period prior to his review. My matter was in an area of law that Ed did not necessarily specialize in. Despite his unfamiliarity with area of law in question Ed quickly brought himself up to speed on the relevant legal points and crafted a winnable argument in very little time.
I know I am leaving a lot out. Trust me, after vetting numerous attorneys and being involved with the legal system to the extent I have for the last seven years, Ed is truly a knowledgeable, ethical and skilled breath of fresh air type of attorney. I am honored to express my gratitude, appreciation, and experience with Mr. David Cohen and his team. About a year or 2 ago, a family friend of mine went through a very difficult period. We were fortunate enough to be referred to Mr. Cohen and have him represent my friend during a helpless time.
As a graduating law student, I want to share my experience with Mr. Cohen as I sat along side my family friend throughout the proceedings. I could not have gained a better insight into the real life practice of a criminal defense attorney. From start to finish, Mr. Cohen was persistent and fought for his client - providing brilliant legal strategies and responses to anticipated opposing counsel arguments.
As a student, law school serves a (great) purpose - learning the law. But real life work is a different adventure altogther. Observing Mr. Cohen practice and successfully represent someone so dear to me was nothing short of inspirational.

I don’t think I could ever put into words the kindness, sympathy, intellect and professionalism that these attorneys showed to myself and my family. Cory Forman and David Cohen were literally life-savers. To give a brief background, my mother was stuck in Europe after she mistakenly traveled on an expired permanent resident card. I thought that she would be stuck for months alone in the midst of a broken immigration system, with delay after delay to her documents. Cory and David somehow knew exactly how to solve this situation and immediately made all the calls necessary, spoke to the right people, filed the right things and pulled off nothing short of a miracle. My mom was back home safe and sound on American soil within days. She was treated with the care and attention by this entire firm as if it were their own mother stuck in some foreign country. Safe to say, there is no where else I will go for all immigration concerns from here on out. 5 stars is not nearly enough for the great job these guys did. A true class act all around, we are forever indebted to them.

I was heavily in debts and was being sued by one of the collectors. A friend of mine recommended that I should file for bankruptcy chapter 7 so I searched online for a bankruptcy lawyer and came across J. Singer Law Group.

8 years ago, I'd had multiple surgeries & just managed to pay for my mom's Alzheimer's care when she died. I was totally broke. Couldn't work. Barely surviving. My debts happened before any of this. I contacted debtors to workout a reasonable way to go - no good. Then I came to you. Almost 8 years to the day back from today I had no more debt. Since then, while I have health challenges & can't work, I have found a pretty wonderful way to live. I made it 6 years paying cash only, then started to build credit again, and now my rating is around 700. In 2 years the bankruptcy will be off my credit record & it will go higher. Without your services, I wouldn't have had a chance in hell. Yes, it was definitely a new beginning. I may be 79, but I'm 79 going on 50!

My experience with Kramer, Dunleavy & Ratchik, PLLC was breathtaking. I was run over by a car in Harlem while crossing a crosswalk with the right of way. The guy driving was 100% at fault. The state bar of NY enthusiastically recommend I set up a consultation with them. So I had a 5 minute call with his paralegal, Joanne O’Connell, it was nice. She wanted me to send my neurologist medical records to review and the detailed police report. Made it happen. Then, all communication ceased. No email was replied to thereafter. The only reason I can come up with is that Kramer, Dunleavy & Ratchik genuinely believe there is no merit in finding justice for pedestrians who wrongfully get run over by a car in the state of New York left with long-term injuries.
So I found an actual attorney who got to work, now everything is good.
This concludes my final thoughts on KD&R for now. I’m extremely honored to have been in Joanne’s presence. She and KD&R are extraordinary human beings - but has no follow through and all that talk lead to nothing.

After I tripped on an uneven sidewalk on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, my neighbor, a longstanding friend, introduced me to attorney Jonathan Ratchik who took my case on as he and the doctors deemed my left foot was severely injured.
The landlord had failed to properly maintain the sidewalk in front of the brownstone he owned, posing a clear and present danger to pedestrians.
Mr. Ratchik knows his law. He is patient and thorough. He guided me well, coached me thoroughly on the procedures, and allowed me to make decisions about medical treatment and the course of our legal action which took nearly three years when the landlord’s insurance company offered a fair settlement which we accepted.
