I have been a defense lawyer for 28 years. During that time period, I've sat across the table from probably every personal injury lawyer in San Antonio, Dallas and the 713. Without a shadow of a doubt, if my loved ones or friends need a lawyer advocate, I would tell them to 'run, don't walk' to Pat Maloney.
Pat and his team are true and honorable professionals. Pat is brass-tacks, a pragmatist, and a compassionate lawyer who cares about obtaining results for his clients more than being driven to line his pockets. He is sincere, highly skilled, and I know from personal experience that I fear him more than any other lawyer as opposing counsel in my cases. I know he will ALWAYS be prepared.
Pat restores legitimacy and honor to the Plaintiff's Bar when other billboard lawyers seem committed to embarrassing it. He is honorable.
Again, it's a no-brainer to me to send people I care about to Pat when they need a lawyer. He is hands-on, h

Industry insight - (1) those lawyers who have as many billboards as Buccees and who show up on commercials about their jets, actually don't try lawsuits. Would you entrust your lawsuit to a Kardashian who is more concerned about P.R. than honor and results? Ask them if you consult them when those guys on the ads last tried a lawsuit. Ask to speak to the named partner and ask that person when they last took a deposition. They don't. They work in volume, meaning they run ads on huge budgets, but your cases get kicked to 1 or 2 year baby lawyers who have zero autonomy on how to run your case; those billboard lawyers aren't really trial lawyers and wouldnt know how to try a case if their life depended on it. Their firms are rife with turnover. The lawyer assigned to your case will be replaced by three more if they take your case. That's not Pat. Pat is boots-on-the-ground, meaning he is personally involved from Day 1. Pat, Steve andJosie will be with you the entire way. Pat is personally involved with your case. The volume billboard lawyers dont care who you are; Pat does.

Brian Walters expertly guided me through a multi-year custody case that was only resolved after a week-long jury trial was held. At trial, Brian was uniquely able to convey empathy towards the other parent while still delivering the hard facts of the case. I believe this resonated with the jury as they were being asked to make a decision that reflected the best interests of the child and not the best interests of either parent. In my personal case, and I suspect in most custody cases, it is easy to demonize the other parent for what they did to you and how their actions are continuing to hurt your parent-child relationship. Received a threatening letter from Mary Lisa in 2022, and replied via email as that was the contact info in the letter. Still have never received a reply. This firm sent me a threatening letter, and when replied to, never once confirmed receipt of reply or issued any type of communication in return. Don’t threaten people, request a response, and then not reply to that response. When I replied to the salacious, threatening letter, more than adequate information was provided to refute the falsehoods in the letter sent to me. Not sending a reply to my response is actually the complete opposite of professional. It is actually unethical within the bounds of the Texas state law to threaten litigation with no intention of following through. If you need more information, comb through your outgoing letters and your received emails. That would require work on your end, though.

A Judge forced me to hire her. She is crooked and only cares about money. Once I paid her I was not able to get her to return my calls or help me. She fought more for a pedophile because he paid her in full even if he assaulted his step daughter. Now he has custody of my children and I have not been able to have visitation with them since. That was a year ago. I am a mother paying child support and cannot see my children even with a stupid court order.

I was referred to Mr. Garza to represent me. We spoke several times, and he agreed to represent me. He was going to send me the representation agreement that day, or the next day. No agreement arrived. There were several more phone calls, several more promises of a forthcoming representation agreement. Meanwhile, other persons, who required the name of the person who was representing me, were becoming frantic. After about 2 months, when no agreement arrived, I gave up - and found another attorney. I never heard from Mr. Garza after the last phone call I made to him, when he yet again promised to send me the agreement.

Matthew was not responsive throughout the process. He said it would be $1K to help me. 5 weeks after paying him I still had no information on next steps, he kept saying he would write a letter. After 5 weeks of no action I asked for my money back and he kept $250 due to a phone call we had. I would not recommend him.

She gave wrong information to me, and makes up for her staff that is just as rude as her. Refused to give me answers because I did not hire an attorney. Kept pushing for me to get an attorney when I didn't need one.
