Margo Pillischer and Carina are an amazing team! Margo eased my concerns and answered all my questions from the jump, and I felt confident and comfortable working with her every step of the way. He thinks a brain injured person doesnt deserve from him any manners, zero respect, they deserve to be treated like they are always acting badly to justify him doing things such as doing absolutely nothing for me for months on end followed by him launching into verbal assault mode against me simply because to him, a brain injured person doesnt deserve the time of day, or to be cared about in any way at all. He literally claimed me asking for mutual respect and offering to apologize for any bad behavior on my end as long as he returned it to me for his own misdoings as being “verbal harassment”.
Nobody deserves to be treated the way he treats me. If i ask you to apologize that is not verbal harassment you jerk

I felt compelled to write this review today due to how valuable their service is. The law office of Anderson Simmons has helped me with my debt claim case immeasurably. This law firm knows all of the Texas debt laws inside and out. They know how things are going to go and what the tactics normally are. They know the usual players. They are trustworthy and they their price was extremely more than fair. They will hand it to you straight and let you decide. I hope not to get into this bind again but if I do, I will 100% rely on this law firm.

Bill Hopkins is an attorney I hired due to a complaint filed against me by a client. Because of this complaint, I was facing possible disciplinary action against me and my professional license. Having never experienced anything like this before, there was a great amount of anxiety around the complexities of this process including the response to the complaint, the investigation of the complaint, and the time waiting for a resolution.
Bill Hopkins helped me understand each step of this process and what to expect as well as what not to expect along the way. Bill's knowledge of the licensing board and understanding of the process allowed me to feel more confident of his ability to represent me and defend my license. From early on, I knew based on his attention to detail, that he was going to be thorough in his approach and look at all possible scenarios involved in a formal complaint.
Mr. Hopkins communicated with me in a very clear, honest manner, never leading me to believe a certain outcome was going to be a given, but rather, prepared and informed me at each phase. I appreciated this approach as well as the insight and awareness that was offered from the beginning to the end.
Mr. Hopkins was very determined and persistent in representing me. There were moments, due to sheer fatigue and exhaustion that I was ready to give up. He was able to encourage me to keep going and ultimately it paid off.
In the end, the board decided to give me a warning letter versus any type of disciplinary action against me and my license. I am forever grateful for his determination, wisdom, guidance and professionalism. I could not have done this without his assistance.
For anyone who has to go through this process, it is a daunting task. I would highly recommend Bill to anyone who is looking for an approachable attorney who will explain, educate, advocate, and be there for you.

This attorney is excellent! His answer was very thorough, specific, detailed and directly on point yet very easy to follow. He gave me exactly what I asked for, which was an idea of which specific laws relate to my issue so i can read them myself. Plus, he highlighted relevant points and brought them to my attention. I am so happy he was the one who answered my question. Ive used free advice websites before and my experience has been ok, but they were all a little vague and broadstroaked answers; answers that probably didnt take much time to write.
Mr. Hopkins was so thoughtful it gave me the feeling he spent time on my question and really cares about my situation and giving the best possible advice. Remember that scene from “The Wolf of Wall Street” where they throw money around? Well, that’s how they bill. I’m pretty sure they charged me for the air I breathed during consultations.

I searched around and spoke to a few lawyers that didn’t want to take my simple divorce case. I continued searching, and then found the Shannon Family Law Firm. The reviews are not perfect, but overall there seemed to be more pleased clients who used them. So I decided to call and I won’t go into a lot of detail, but I have spoken with the paralegal Jodie Ward-House and attorney Richard Shannon whom I have decided to hire for my case. Jodie and Richard have been very kind and thorough in explaining the details of how my particular case should work if all goes well. My case is new and just starting. I may post another review in the future about this firm after my case is finished. However, based on the previous phone conversation I had with Jodie and phone consultation I had with Richard Shannon was very pleasing. We’ll see how this goes. I would recommend them if need consultation about a divorce case. I have a better understanding about my particular case.

Two months later, while racking up legal fees, he suggested he would circle back around and speak to Jane Doe (one of the people NOT to talk to). That is when I fired him. In my opinion, this law firm is in bed with the Comptroller to generate legal fees. After firing Curtis, I handled my case myself. The comptroller didn't know what to do now? Their boy wonder was out. I proved to the Comptroller I didn't owe the money by emailing a copy of the Federal and State laws. I ended up winning without Curtis. He wanted me to settle and charge me $35,000 for his time. I will never do business in the state of Texas again!

I trusted Lisa Bustos with my future. You will find it evident by the end of this review that Bustos will, without hesitation, leave your life upended for a handsome profit. In fact, there is no guarantee that you will even be divorced when she is done wringing you dry.
Anger and outrage are often the driving forces behind high-conflict divorce litigation. Ms. Bustos will not exercise “client control” as she is morally and ethically bound to do, however. To the contrary, she sees dollar signs when her clients are at vicious odds with their exes. At a time when you are on your knees, Bustos will be drawing up paperwork to take out exorbitant lines of credit in your name while assuring you that your settlement will be considerable. This is a blank check for Lisa Bustos’s firm, and she and her attorneys will bill against your credit freely and recklessly.
My line of credit ran over $50,000 and Lisa Bustos still had her hand out for more money, right before she directed her associate attorney to withdraw from my case on the eve of final trial. The people who should have been at my side throughout had cut and run when I needed them most. I signed a disadvantageous Mediated Settlement Agreement rather than face final trial alone. My divorce was finished by a friend to whom I also owe attorney’s fees now.
The State Bar of Texas investigated Lisa Bustos for alleged professional misconduct. Bustos hired her own attorney and the investigations ended in dismissals of my grievances (the Bar’s Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel is not a pillar of functionality and lawyers look out for their own). In the meantime, at least two other clients of Bustos Family Law have filed for bankruptcy, or are in the process of filing.
