Working with Jamie is always a pleasure. He meticulously researches all situations and possible responses to the problem at hand and makes informed recommendations. He is quick to follow up and get answers to his client. He is also very likeable and trustworthy which creates an atmosphere of cooperation with all interested parties. Jamie looks for solutions that allow all participants to feel good about, ultimately. Conversely, Jamie also is not afraid to take a harder stand, when necessary. He approaches legal action the way he approaches all of his activities, with calm and methodical reasoning. I can highly recommend Jamie to anyone asking and, personally, will continue to work with him for a long time to come.

Our city was about to dramatically increase the number of people in our area without providing adequate parking in the new buildings. The area property owners and residents would soon pay a big price for this and the problems would be permanent. We had already tried to appeal the City's decision to City Council but the Council completely ignored the many people who spoke at the hearing and wrote letters. The City has ignored some CEQA requirements but the City refused to listen or do anything about it. We had been trying to understand a huge bureaucratic mess that felt like quicksand. Before I spoke with Jamie, our group knew something was very wrong but didn't know how to fix it. Jamie took a huge burden off of our shoulders because he clearly understood CEQA and knew how to deal with our problem. Jamie guided us skillfully. He encouraged our questions, something that I've not typically seen with attorneys. He was very honest and focused on the best outcome for us. He took a mountain of messy, complex details and turned them into a case petition that was clearly written and easy to understand even for those unfamiliar with the situation. We had a good case to take to court so we were able to negotiate a settlement, saving us all a lot of time, work, and money. We feel very lucky that he worked on our case. We achieved the best possible outcome for relief to the parking problem in our area. Our group will continue to work toward solutions for the other parking issues. Jamie will certainly be the one we call when we need legal help.

I have had some complex real property/ business matters which Bruce handled for me. His guidance and counsel were essential and kept deals together, even during the low turns of the recession. He also handled a probate litigation for my sister's family, which saved my brother-in-law's family trust.

I am a difficult client. I know I am difficult to deal with but that may be why I have gone through so many attorneys over the years - until I met Bruce. He is attentive, aggressive, thorough and his prices are reasonable. I just wish that I had been referred to him years ago. When I turn a matter over to him, I can sleep at night because I know he is up worrying about it and doing something about it. He has definitely become part of my business.

First and foremost, Mr. Wasieleski was an absolute pleasure to deal with and I could not be more thankful for the help that he gave me. I was involved in an automobile accident in late 2015 in which I was t-boned at an intersection by someone who ran their red light. As a result of my accident I was experiencing sever pain in my body almost immediately. I was referred to Mr. Wasieleski by a friend who had gone through him for their auto accident and they were extremely pleased with how he handled their case. He immediately contacted a witness at the scene in regards to my case and was able to the prove that I was not at fault for the accident by securing the witness's statement. Thanks to Mr. Wasieleski, I received the treatment that I needed and he was able to settle my total loss vehicle for more than I believed it was even worth!! Not to mention, he got me a great settlement for my personal injury claim as well. All of this was done by him and his office and they were diligent in their work and response. I highly recommend him and will happily refer all my friends and family in any situation where serious personal injury has occurred. He is my go to attorney for life.

I reached out to Dr Kramer due to a google search for helping with Malpractice from Kaiser. While Dr Kramer did come across short and rough over the phone, and requested a 5-figure up front retainer, I wanted to vouch for him since I saw so many people complain about his initial phone call. He is rough and direct. But that is what you want in an attorney. He’s also uniquely qualified since he has both an M.D. as well as a J.D. He got his law degree from Stanford. I called on Memorial Day, a holiday where most firms only let me leave a voicemail and never actually returned the call, and DR. Kramer answered the phone personally. I was requesting an ex parte motion be filed asap and despite the short notice, he was willing to get it done in less than two days filed with the court. He may not be the cheapest attorney, but he’s direct and answers the phone or messages you back quickly. This is a rare thing in the legal industry. Most attorneys will likely give you a lot of lip service. I actually prefer the direct to the point nature that Dr. Kramer gives. He doesn’t waste time. So if you are very sensitive and need someone to be gentle with you over the phone for an initial meeting, he likely isn’t the person for you. If you want an aggressive, hard working attorney who is overqualified for his role and still willing to take smaller cases, then he is your man. As an experience finance expert who graduated from Harvard University, I can genuinely tell you that this is a rare trait to have from an attorney. Anyone would be lucky to have him represent their case.

The worst experience ever. I settled my civil case 5 months ago and still haven't got paid. It's so much bullshit with these guys idk how there still in business. I assume they just rob there clients. I'm about to file a formal complaint at this point. I had them for a criminal case before I got tricked into this civil case. They did literally nothing for the 10k I put up. So I demanded a receipt for everything they did on my case to justify 10k and when they couldn't itemize everything to that amount I ended up getting half my money back.

When I read the negative reviews I said no way, I was completely wrong!! Run away as fast as you can, incompetent does not describe these thieves. They want money before even speaking to you. If you ever heard an attorney joke it was written about this law firm, not sure you can even call them a law firm. If you read any of these reviews and still call them you have been warned. It can’t get worse. It’s sad that they are allowed to prey on people.

I want to share my remarkable experience with Dre Law Firm and to highly recommend their exceptional services. As the CEO of Radical Auto, I recently faced a legal challenge where our company was being sued for a significant amount of $300,000. In this distressing situation, Dre Law stepped in as our legal representative. Thier prompt and diligent efforts not only provided us with strong legal defense but also managed to successfully negotiate the settlement to $5,000, within 60 days. I must emphasize that the professionalism and expertise demonstrated by Dre Law were truly exemplary throughout the entire process. I'm sincerely grateful for the outstandingly legal support and wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone in need of legal representation.

I have required the services years ago to get custody of my young son at that time and recently for a divorce. I cannot recommend Alexandra Leichter and her offices more highly. Everyone in the office is great and did great work on my matter. Besides Ms. Leichter, her son Ariel Leichter-Maroko and her associates Jenna Charlotte Spatz and Preston Green all do fabulous work and as a client, you are privileged to be represented by any or all. In my case, Jenna really did a ton of work specifically on my behalf to be certain I was properly protected along with Ms Leichter herself.Their knowledge of the law and attention to detail are excellent. I might add, that Ms. Leichter helped me get custody of my son at a young agenda was truly outstanding as a trial lawyer. Feel free to contact me if you need more information. Powerhouse — in all areas! Alexandra is truly a master of the law, the system, strategy, courtroom delivery and professionalism. She sees the big picture and addresses minute details at ALL times — and she literally thinks 100 steps ahead. Her team works like a well oiled machine. I felt safe and protected during the most vulnerable time of my life, when life as I knew it was crumbling. Having been married for 25+ years, my divorce involved complex legal issues and included extensive tracing of funds, the sale of multiple properties and assets, spousal support, stock options, and retirement plans. The office advocated and protected my interests in and out of court. I am sooo grateful she took my case.

Don't go here unless you've got a pile of cash to blow through and don't care what it costs, and want it to take forever and be overly complicated. I'd give zero stars if I could. I was (unfortunately) recommended this firm by my UCLA law school Family Law professor (I was in law school at the time; I'm now an attorney), to help me file for divorce. My ex and I split amicably and didn't have any assets or kids, so it should have been easy. This firm waaaaay overcomplicated things and charged me thousands of dollars. I ended up retaining a different firm who got it done in less than 2 hours of attorney time, and for way way way less. On top of that, this firm tried to charge me for work they did for a completely different client, and then even tried charging me interest on that work. I kept requesting a copy of my invoice, which they ignored and were rude about - only to finally notice the erroneous charges way later. It's been a nightmare dealing with them and I wish I'd never been recommended. Go somewhere--anywhere--else.

I hired Kelly Kilgore to represent me in court, he would never keep an appointment to see me always with an excuse or another and when I fired him, he kept 90% of the money for doing nothing, then I took him to arbitration and again he kept canceling and making excuses, now I am taking him to small claim court and reporting his fraud acts to the California Bar association.

I have known Charles Kelly Kilgore for over 20 years. On several occasions I have had the opportunity to call him and ask him for advice in the Criminal Law realm. I don't practice in that area, and it is helpful to know that I have someone that I know and trust that I can call, virtually anytime, and receive a speedy, and accurate, response to any question I have. One of the best criminal attorneys out there. David Leventhal

Mr. Kilgore handled my sister's case. I love this Attorney because he showed so much love and compassion for his work as well as his clients. Many attorney's are in it for the money only and could really care less about the clients just as long as they win, but not Mr. Kilgore. He does this because he just love helping people. He is a real go getter and puts his all into what he do. And because I loved his work ethics so much I've even referred a close friend of the family to him and now he's handling her case. Thanks to Mr. Kilgore, my sister is Mary Thompson is out of prison after serving 17 years for which she was given 25 years but due to the fight in Mr. Kilgore and his determination and hard work, my sister is now free. Thank you Mr. Kilgore!!!!!!!!!

My case was referred to him through another attorney. $80,000.00 in medical bills, surgery, life-long pain and this lawyer holds my case for 20 months doing NOTHING and then without notice, tosses it back to the original attorney. Worse...the office is closed, the firm shut down, his website down and phones turned off. I track him down at another firm and he STILL acts like everything is on track. However, the original attorney, whom I had already left a message with, calls me while I am on the phone with him and tells me that in fact HE HAS DROPPED THE CASE!! What a cowardly way to handle a client!!!

Seemed to know what he was doing. But since I am not an attorney I would not know. He talks well and can be quite Charming. But then you find this fellow is not a good attorny in the opinion of myself and other attorneys I showed the case to. I would not recomend this fellow. Did not file papers to the court on time so the court would not take or use the information in the documents. He had a nice office in a nice area. That is what made me think he must know what he is doing. And maybe he does. The problem was more being late (After the deadline with paperwork for the court) and also he lied to myself and others. Not sure why. I just know he did and he lost the case. I have to warn others to keep looking. Do not use this guy.

What a Litigation Lawyer Can Do for You

A litigation lawyer specializes in representing individuals, businesses, or organizations involved in legal disputes. Whether you're the one filing a lawsuit or you're being sued, a litigation attorney will advocate on your behalf throughout the entire legal process. Their goal is to resolve disputes, either through negotiation, settlement, or trial. Litigation lawyers can help with a wide range of disputes, including contract disagreements, real estate issues, employment disputes, personal injury claims, and more.

Litigation lawyers provide strategic legal advice and manage all aspects of your case, from filing motions to representing you in court, ensuring that your rights are protected and that you have the best chance of achieving a favorable outcome.

When Should I Hire a Litigation Lawyer?

You should consider hiring a litigation lawyer if you're involved in a legal dispute that you cannot resolve on your own. Common situations include:

  • Breach of contract disputes: If a party to a contract fails to fulfill their obligations, a litigation lawyer can help you seek damages or enforce the agreement.
  • Business disputes: Litigation lawyers can represent you in cases of partnership disagreements, intellectual property disputes, or business fraud.
  • Employment disputes: If you're facing issues like wrongful termination, workplace discrimination, or wage disputes, a litigation lawyer can help resolve these matters through negotiation or court action.
  • Personal injury claims: If you've been injured due to someone else's negligence and are seeking compensation, a litigation attorney can help you pursue your case.
  • Real estate or property disputes: When there are conflicts over property ownership, boundary issues, or lease agreements, a litigation lawyer can assist in resolving the dispute.

Hiring a lawyer early in the process is beneficial, especially if a lawsuit seems imminent or you have already been served with legal documents.

What Does a Litigation Lawyer Do?

A litigation lawyer handles all aspects of your case, from the initial investigation to the trial and even the appeals process, if necessary. Their role includes:

  • Case assessment and investigation: Analyzing the facts of your case and advising whether it’s worth pursuing or defending.
  • Pleadings and motions: Drafting and filing documents to initiate or respond to a lawsuit, including complaints, motions to dismiss, and answers.
  • Discovery: Gathering evidence, including depositions, interrogatories, and document requests, to build your case.
  • Negotiations and settlement discussions: Attempting to resolve disputes through mediation, arbitration, or settlement talks before going to trial.
  • Trial representation: Presenting your case in court, examining witnesses, introducing evidence, and making legal arguments before a judge or jury.
  • Appeals: If necessary, filing appeals to challenge or defend the outcome of the trial.

Litigation lawyers are also skilled negotiators and often work to resolve disputes outside of court to save time, money, and stress for their clients.

How Are Litigation Lawyers Paid?

Litigation lawyers typically use a variety of fee structures depending on the type of case, the complexity of the legal matter, and the financial circumstances of the client. Common payment arrangements include:

  • Hourly rates: Many litigation attorneys charge by the hour, with rates varying based on experience and geographic location.
  • Flat fees: For specific, predictable legal tasks (such as filing a motion), lawyers may offer a flat fee.
  • Contingency fees: In personal injury or other cases where you seek damages, a lawyer may work on a contingency basis, taking a percentage of the settlement or award if you win.
  • Retainer: Some clients pay a retainer fee upfront to secure ongoing legal services. The lawyer then bills against this retainer as work is done.

The exact structure should be discussed in the initial consultation to ensure you understand how and when you'll be charged.

How Much Does a Litigation Lawyer Cost?

The cost of a litigation lawyer varies significantly depending on the nature of the dispute and the lawyer’s experience. Factors affecting the cost include:

  • The complexity of the case: More complex litigation involving extensive discovery, expert witnesses, or multi-party suits typically costs more.
  • Time spent: Litigation cases can be time-consuming, especially if they go to trial. The longer the case, the higher the legal fees.
  • Type of fee arrangement: Hourly rates can range from $200 to over $1,000 per hour, depending on the lawyer’s reputation and location. Contingency fees generally range from 25% to 40% of the settlement or award.
  • Stage of litigation: Cases that settle early in the process are often less expensive than those that proceed to trial or appeal.

It’s crucial to ask about cost estimates during your initial consultation to avoid surprises.

Top Questions to Ask a Litigation Lawyer

Before hiring a litigation lawyer, it's essential to ask key questions to ensure you're choosing the right representation:

  1. What is your experience with cases like mine?
Ensure that the lawyer has experience handling your specific type of dispute, whether it's a contract issue, personal injury, or business matter.
  2. What are the potential outcomes of my case?
Ask for an honest assessment of your case's strengths, weaknesses, and the likelihood of success.
  3. What is your fee structure?
Clarify how you'll be charged, whether by the hour, a flat fee, or on a contingency basis.
  4. How long do you expect my case to take?
While it's hard to predict, an experienced lawyer can give you a rough estimate based on similar cases.
  5. How often do you settle cases versus going to trial?
Some lawyers are more inclined to settle, while others may be more experienced in the courtroom. It’s important to understand their strategy.
  6. What is your approach to resolving disputes?
Some lawyers prefer aggressive litigation, while others focus on settlement or mediation. Choose one whose approach aligns with your goals.

How to Check the Credibility of a Litigation Lawyer

To verify a litigation lawyer’s credibility, consider the following steps:

  • Check bar association records: Ensure the lawyer is in good standing with the state bar and has no history of disciplinary actions.
  • Read client reviews and testimonials: Online reviews can provide insight into the lawyer’s professionalism and track record.
  • Look for litigation experience: Review the lawyer’s website or professional profile to ensure they have handled cases like yours and have a record of success.
  • Request references: Ask the lawyer to provide references from past clients who can speak to their effectiveness and approach.
  • Research their trial experience: If your case is likely to go to trial, ensure the lawyer has a history of courtroom success.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make your first consultation with a litigation lawyer productive, you should prepare the following:

  • A clear outline of the dispute: Provide a timeline and key details about the legal issue you're facing.
  • Any relevant documents: Bring contracts, emails, letters, or any other documentation that pertains to the case.
  • A list of key players: Provide the names of individuals or companies involved in the dispute.
  • Questions about fees and the litigation process: Make sure you understand how the lawyer plans to approach your case and how you will be charged.
  • Your goals and expectations: Be clear about what outcome you're hoping for, whether it's a settlement, compensation, or another resolution.

By coming prepared, you can ensure that your initial meeting with the lawyer is both efficient and insightful, giving you a better sense of how to proceed with your case.
