I haven’t had the opportunity to avail myself of his services, (hence three stars) and honestly, I hope I never do. However, Jim is a cycling enthusiast which means he intimately understands both the law as well as what we face on the roads each day as road cyclists. I had a problem with my HOA and found that Florida government agencies could not help
A friend recommended McFarland Gould so I called. They quickly directed me to a paralegal. Sam Pagan who works with attorney Phillip Dragonetti, who is expert in HOA and condominium disputes. Sam was very patient with me and spent a lot of time listening and gathering relevant documents. After Mr. Dragonetti reviewed my information, they arranged a conference call to discuss my case. He was very thorough and patient with me to discuss the pros and cons of my case. Although we decided that going forward with legal action would be premature , at this point, I was educated about my options and given guidance on next steps. I would highly recommend Mr Dragonetti to anyone who has issues with their HOA or condominium association.

Kristen and her team were fantastic She took the time to listen to our concerns over our claim from hurricane Ian and provided us with solid advice on how to proceed. I had made a free appointment for a legal consultation in the past and met with John McGuire who gave me his honest opinion that I didn’t need a lawyer at that time. He didn’t ask for any payment for that appointment which I really appreciated since I was hesitant at first thinking I would have to pay if I saw a lawyer. I remembered the law office when I got in a bad car accident in 2019 and made another appointment. I had so many medical bills and all these adjusters were calling me asking for statements but John McGuire helped me feel relieved right away. His paralegal, Mindy, kept me updated on my case and seemed to really be on top of my case. Not only did I end up getting a nice settlement but Mindy also negotiated my medical bills so I got even more money in the end. I didn’t even know you can negotiate medical bills like that! I Would definitely recommend anyone who has legal questions or issues to go to McGuire Law Offices!

This man came and made all sorts of promises to me the morning of my trial, convinced me to switch to him. Then, after receiving payment, did absolutely nothing for 9 months. Despite having provided him numerous things for my defense, he literally did no preparing at all - he only came to discuss the case the sunday afternoon before trial! I had explained to him exactly what data was needed, and how to obtain that data, to exonerate me and he did not do this! This data would prove I could hot have done what I was charged with. I had also provided case law of an identical case that would show Florida had no jurisdiction. But because he failed to even read the case law, which clearly stated the court ruled in what would have been my favor, when the state misrepresented that case to court Mr. Wagner did not object and did not argue because he DID NOT EVEN READ THE CASE! Not only this, but I had hired him for a civil matter as well, and after 9 months, as I am sitting at the defendant table at trial, he STARTS to write a motion for that matter - and it was complete garbage! I literally had to rewrite it myself and not only fix basic spelling and grammatical errors, which were prevalent, but CORRECT HIM ON MATTERS OF LAW! This guy is about worthless - if you hire him, he will take your money, ignore you, judge you as guilty so as to feel ok about his poor work ethic, and try to get you a plea - which eliminates 99% of appeals! This is a big problem because when he blows his motion arguments from lack of preparation, he tells you "oh, don't worry - you can appeal this issue!" But you can't. So no, do not hire this man, or Steve Henderson, or Dan Ciener... Diamond and Funk are the only attorneys worth a penny in Brevard County. You would be better to hire someone from Orlando or elsewhere.

Barry Cobb is an excellent lawyer. I was wrongfully charged with a felony and this was caught on video tape. Not only was the felony dropped, but Barry answered every question I every had thoroughly and giving me all the knowledge I needed to make the right decisions. His advice was always spot on and because I listened it went exactly as I needed it to. He should be getting a $5000 retainer for his services, but he chooses to fight for the little guy. A stand up attorney.

Mr Cobb was the Public Defender for my son, Michael, and did a VERY poor job representing him. Mr. Cobb failed to call any witness that could prove Michael was innocent of the charges. Mr. Cobb failed to provide proper legal representation. Mr. Cobb had almost 5 years to prepare for the hearing and was NOT prepared at all.
