After being named in a California defective product lawsuit, my counsel contacted one of the bigger law firms we have very good experience with and we were given a $85,000 estimate to move to dismiss the lawsuit. My colleague also suggested calling his former partner from Preston Gates,John Petrullo in LA, for additional referrals as we anticipated this would be an expensive lawsuit. When I contacted John for suggestions on who he'd recommend, he asked me to send him the Complaint. After reviewing the Complaint, John asked me to give him a couple of days to review the action. I remember expressing a great deal on anxiety as we were to respond to the Complaint and specifically remember John assuring us that he'd take care of it. My colleague told us to trust Mr. Petrullo.
Three days later I received an email from John along with a dismissal of the case. My entire dept. was shocked by this result and at a loss when he didn't send a bill for his services. One of the biggest firms wanted 85,000 to file a motion to dismiss. John went to plaintiffs attorneys for a conversation and left with a dismissal. He's refused to bill us.

just check Mr. Petrullo out on his website. I was a juror in a recent trial and my co jurors, except 1, talked more about how prepared he was everyday and how he cross examined experts. He tore them apart!
But he wasn't disrespectful. The judge yelled at him a lot it seems to me, and he kept moving anyway. nothing bothered him, only thing he would not spend much time with us after trial, said he likes to take a walk by himself after trials. hope this helps hi. good lawyer.

I simply do not have words adequate, kind, and appreciative enough to capture how grateful I am for Jamie Keeton and her entire legal team at Schlichter and Shonack, including the wonderful Kevin Wheeler, Jamie Fountain, and Kellie Baker.
I found Ms. Keeton through my employer legal insurance plan and her entire legal team helped me when I was so desperate for help in a legal situation when the opposing party was trying to abuse the legal system to harass, intimidate, and financially harm my family.
I spoke to Ms. Keeton in my moments of utter desperation after numerous phone calls with other attorneys and from the moment I spoke with her, I knew that she was brilliant, articulate, fearless, yet kind and personable. She gave me her phone number and told me I could reach out to her any time which was particularly comforting. I waited what seemed to be a very long weekend, hoping and praying that she would take my case, and when she did, I knew there was no greater advocate I could have in my corner.
Kevin Wheeler was my point of contact and he advocated tirelessly for me. His words were always so patient, kind, and comforting. Being a type-A professional myself, I far too often did way too much legal research instead of leaving that up to my attorneys and then would email Kevin probably the silliest of questions in my moments of weakness and unease but he would just politely, patiently, and kindly answer my questions and always put me at ease. By the end of the ordeal, I trusted them so much that I stopped reading the opposing party's papers, stopped doing legal research, and just focused on my every day life, knowing well that my attorneys would blow them out of the water with whatever response they were preparing. This was probably the best part of having them represent me because being able to disinvolve myself from something that is particularly emotional is totally against my personality and it can be particularly destructive, especially since the whole point of hiring an attorney is so you can relax. For me, I can really only disinvolve myself if I know I am in good hands, and it only took the reading of one of their legal papers for me to know they've got it totally under control. As a professional myself, it takes a certain amount of skill to be able to handle situations in which people from outside your profession come to your office and present you with data that you know better than they do. Whenever I would be guilty of doing that, Kevin would handle it with such patience and grace, and put me at ease, letting me know they've got it handled.
Jamie Fountain was also a gem. She worked tirelessly on the legal research of my case and spent so many hours on the preparation of the legal documents. Every time I would read the legal documents, I would be shocked as to how she and every one else could prepare such persuasive, brilliant arguments with so much legal precedents behind those arguments, with such tremendous efficiency as reflected in their billed hours. For Kevin Wheeler , Jamie Fountain and Kellie Baker, who are still relatively young in their career, to have such talent, I can only imagine the bright future ahead of them.
It was no surprise that the entire unpleasant ordeal ended with a legal victory because of everyone's efforts.
I could not be more thankful for the sequence of events that led me to Jamie Keeton of the Firm Schlichter and Shonack.
While certainly there are no guarantees in any legal situation, I can guarantee that based on my experience, Jamie Keeton and her legal team, will tirelessly advocate for you in a way that is fearless, diligent, persuasive, efficient, kind, and honest. I highly recommend them.

Kate Crane wrote the estate documents for my parents in 1999. My parents paid thousands of dollars to set up the Trusts. Then, over DECADES she charged them to add more sub trusts giving them convoluted and complex distribution percentages to go from one trust to the other. My mom passed in 2009. My Dad died in March 2023. Today, 8/18/24 the estate is in litigations, most of the beneficiaries are mad and the documents were so poorly written by Kate, that the family relationships are fractured. My parents spent tens of thousands of dollars to prevent what is happening to our family today. They were sold her services using all of the things people want to hear. "You will avoid probate and save time" "You will save money on taxes" "Your family will have peaceful and loving relationships since everything is in the Trust" Total and complete lies to sell their services. Almost two years have passed since my Dad died. Even simple things like personal possessions of jewelry are still in the possession of professional fiduciaries. Almost two years have passed and my son and two nephews who are three responsible , productive members of society have to hire an attorney to try to receive their distributions because Kate Crane never took the time to update the age of these family members who must wait until they are 35 years old. They are businesses owners and homeowners but Kate wrote that they get nothing until they are 35. Oh, and guess what...those three have to have a trust set up and managed being charged fees to set it up and then $3,000/year to "manage the trusts". Another sister has a valid reason for blaming Kate for poorly writing a section of the Trust that results in her losing more than $200,000. I have written a sworn and notarized affidavit detailing how my dad told me that he wanted to change the wording of this section but Kate insisted that it be left as it was. His last few years of his life were spent regretting that he hired Kate Crane. This is a well polished scam that will take your money and redistribute your wealth to Kate Crane and her associates like CPAs. She works closely with a CPA named Grant Niman. After all of the money my parents spent on these trusts, after her client, my dad, passed away and could not complain, Kate charged an additional $8,650 to the estate for "emails, phone calls, review and drafting a letter" of her own documents!! Do not believe any of her lies that she says to get your money. This has been one of the worst cases of incompetence if not outright fraud and elder abuse.

Today, 8/18/24 the estate is in litigations, most of the beneficiaries are mad and the documents were so poorly written by Kate, that the family relationships are fractured. My parents spent tens of thousands of dollars to prevent what is happening to our family today. They were sold her services using all of the things people want to hear. "You will avoid probate and save time" "You will save money on taxes" "Your family will have peaceful and loving relationships since everything is in the Trust" Total and complete lies to sell their services. Almost two years have passed since my Dad died. Even simple things like personal possessions of jewelry are still in the possession of professional fiduciaries. Almost two years have passed and my son and two nephews who are three responsible , productive members of society have to hire an attorney to try to receive their distributions because Kate Crane never took the time to update the age of these family members who must wait until they are 35 years old. They are businesses owners and homeowners but Kate wrote that they get nothing until they are 35. Oh, and guess what...those three have to have a trust set up and managed being charged fees to set it up and then $3,000/year to "manage the trusts". Another sister has a valid reason for blaming Kate for poorly writing a section of the Trust that results in her losing more than $200,000. I have written a sworn and notarized affidavit detailing how my dad told me that he wanted to change the wording of this section but Kate insisted that it be left as it was. His last few years of his life were spent regretting that he hired Kate Crane. This is a well polished scam that will take your money and redistribute your wealth to Kate Crane and her associates like CPAs. She works closely with a CPA named Grant Niman. After all of the money my parents spent on these trusts, after her client, my dad, passed away and could not complain, Kate charged an additional $8,650 to the estate for "emails, phone calls, review and drafting a letter" of her own documents!! Do not believe any of her lies that she says to get your money. This has been one of the worst cases of incompetence if not outright fraud and elder abuse.

Kate Crane wrote the estate documents for my parents in 1999. My parents paid thousands of dollars to set up the Trusts.
