I got into some trouble at the border traveling into the states. My visa was at risk. I was being charged with two felonies. My alimony from my divorce settlement was nearly $2000 dollars a month. When I retired I was unable to pay that amount without draining my retirement funds. Michael put into motion through the courts and mediation my situation and using his prowess of the legal system successfully eliminated my alimony, yayyyy!!! I recently had a phone consultation with Ray, and while I typically treat BAR members like I treat Federal Reserve Notes—acknowledge their existence but don’t put too much faith in them—I have to admit, this one didn't immediately trigger my "fraudulent adhesion contract" radar. A rare feat, indeed.
To my surprise, Ray was knowledgeable, professional, and didn't try to gaslight me into believing I’m just another helpless soul lost in the maritime fog of presumed liability. He actually listened, provided solid insights, and—brace yourself—spoke in a way that didn’t require me to decode legalese like I’m deciphering an IRS tax form while blindfolded.
Now, am I ready to swear an oath of allegiance to the BAR? Absolutely not! But did this consultation help ease my situation and clarify some key points? Yes. He may not have issued me a Letter of Marque, but at least he didn’t try to drag me back onto the pirate ship.
For those navigating the choppy waters of the legal system while trying to remain in the private, this attorney might just be a safe port… or at least a dry dock that doesn’t come with an automatic lien.
Would I recommend them? Let’s just say, if you ever find yourself in a legal pickle and don’t have time to hit them with an affidavit first, they might be worth a call. Just make sure you’re not unwittingly entering into a contract—because, as we know, silence can sometimes be construed as consent.

I called because I was having issues with a landlord/tenant. I had called 10+ firms before them and all said they only side with landlords. Then I met Mr. Bradtke! I explained my situation, and was able to berate him with questions. Not only was he super helpful, he took time out of his day to reach out to other firms who have helped people in the same situation as I was going through. TLDR: Great Lakes employs attorneys that are not only terrible at their job, but who will overbill you and treat you terribly.
You are doing yourself a tremendous disservice taking your business to Great Lakes. Kim Browning in particular is the single worst attorney I have ever had to deal with. She is both not very good at the legal aspect of her job, nor the customer service aspect.
She ended up billing me 3x higher than her initial estimate despite the fact that the case proceeded exactly as anticipated without any sort of hiccups.
What's more, despite the case progressing exactly as anticipated, she never gave me a clear understanding about what the next steps would be.
Worst, she WILL NOT RESPOND TO YOU. Despite paying her over $10k, she could not bother to respond to simple "yes" "no" emails without me having to send them to her 3+ times.
Please take your business elsewhere. With Great Lakes and Kim, all you'll get is a massive bill and disappointment.

Robert Morad was my court-appointed defense attorney in a difficult, drawn-out case for charges of home invasion and assault/battery. I could not have been luckier to be appointed to such a thorough, respectful, and professional attorney. Mr. Morad took the time to discuss details of the proceedings with me on multiple occasions, sometimes spending an hour of his time to make me feel more aware and comfortable with the situation I was facing. He was strategic in his approach of presenting evidence in my defense and managed to work out a desirable plea bargain in my case. Thanks to Mr. Morad, I did not serve any jail or prison sentence. The home invasion first-degree charge (20-year felony) was ultimately lowered to a misdemeanor of breaking & entering/illegal entry upon successful completion of a year of probation. I could not be happier with the outcome or more thankful for the representation I had with Mr. Morad, especially with my future endeavors and individual goals. Robert Morad was my attorney for my first offense DUI. I had a tough judge and he was able to bring me down from driving with intoxicated to driving while impaired. My sentence could have been A LOT worse. Overall he was an exceptional attorney and I highly recommend him. I don’t think any other attorney could have brought my sentence down as much as he did.

Was retained for a post conviction case (appeal) and this attorney presented the same evidence as the trial attorney… no new evidence nor error was presented in the appellate brief….he was not prepared nor did he research the case.
