I met Bo as a 3rd recommendation from other attorneys. They told me he was the man for this case. I retained Bo and right from the get he was in my face honest and told me a likely outcome. He's a regular guy that explains the law jargon in plain English. I was involved in a suit case and I only had a certain amount to settle the case. His tactics were hard for me to understand at times but in the end case settled for the amount I told him was available to me. HE NAILED IT! Hard worker cares about his clients and takes time to explain processes. Hard to find someone like Bo these days that actually has the motivation, knowledge and drive to solve my problem. My lawyer was thorough and to the point and took care of my problem quickly. I wanted to foreclose on some property and the owner took bankruptcy. He was able to get it out of the bankruptcy proceedings. He was very friendly and made me not be nervous. His fees were reasonable.

Jeanne has been our attorney for the last 10+ years. She helped us receive compensation when our 3 yr. son was attacked by a dog, leaving his lip almost ripped off. ( Our 1st Attorney was unable to achieve this). Jeanne also helped us win a lawsuit against our builder when he refused to repair our septic system which failed while we were in our 1 year warranty. My sister and I hired Steve Grabenstein to represent us in litigation over our fathers estate. Steve and his team (Pat & Heather) were always responsive to our needs and request. I returned a product to a store owner and he claimed he would issue me a credit on my credit card once his credit card machine was working again. He never did after multiple phone calls and then sent me a bad check. Melissa wrote him a letter to "put the fear of God (or fear of lawyers, perhaps)" into him, which seemed to work, since he finally sent me a check for my refund that cleared.

Ms. Brumbach represented my firm on two separate occasions. The first as a member of a legal team who defended us against a former client. Rather than meet to discuss the concerns in person, this client was persuaded by an aggressive law firm to resolve the matter through the courts. Their incentive being the expectation of a large insurance settlement from a policy we carried at the time.
The second was as our attorney in a suit to collect fees from a client who withheld final payment for work we performed. Rather than meet to discuss, this client ceased communication.
In both instances she became familiar with the facts very quickly and developed a well conceived plan for both our defense and the merits of our claim.
We would not hesitate to engage her if the need arose once again.

Jason is a friend from church. When I approached him for advice about a claim from an auto accident that left me with permanent injuries, the time for filing the claim had nearly expired. Jason began to work for me immediately. He made every effort to settle the claim through mediation, experiencing the same frustration I had experienced with the insurer. Jason Page has represented me for the past year in a case which involved a piece of longleaf timberland I own in eastern North Carolina. Someone impersonated me and sold my timber to a local forest products company. Jason Page helped me recover my damages from the insurance firm representing the timber company. My mediation was completed in January 2012.
I was extremely satisfied with his help on all levels. He was available and responsive through emails and telephone calls and always kept me in the loop with regards to papers that he filed and developments in my case. His background of working in timber before becoming a lawyer made him especially valuable in my case…volumes, pricing, optimal merchandising of a timber tract…all are a bit obscure if you are not in the timber world.
But in a broader sense, this is a person who I would use for any legal matter that he is willing to take on. I hired James Rainsford when he was referred to me by one of Greensboro's top attorneys. I was scared and felt defeated already. My case seemed doomed. First time divorcee... What a difficult experience. I chose Katherine's firm because she was incredibly astute - immediately understood my primary goal was to have a civilized dissolution of my marriage. Life is way too short to get caught up in years of turmoil, hatred and ugliness for the sake of money... but that's just me. Regardless, Katherine was always right on point, doing her job to protect me and my future interests, while not "stirring the pot" in a negative way. I would fully trust her to execute an equally ugly, contentious legal matter because I always felt as though she was right on top of things, and more importantly on top of the law. All I can say is that I can't recommend her more highly... Katherine is smart, knows the law, and is both tenacious and fair. I was involved in litigation in another state and hired Katherine to represent me in NC. I shared legal documents from the other lawyer with her and she found a huge mistake in his draft settlement offer that would have cost me a tremendous amount. After that, I had her look at everything and she steered me through very tough negotiations with a deft and tough approach that resulted in a good settlement for me. Cory came highly recommended to me. I'd heard that he was a near legend miracle worker in the courtroom (a repeated D.U.I case that might have ended up really bad, he made really right.) . But I"d never needed a D.U.I. fixed. However! Crazy things can happen when you least expect it--a police officer going through your purse and finding EXACTLY the wrong thing for instance. Mr. Gordon represented us against a fraudulent building contractor. He was tenacious against the individual. After winning in court, and gaining a sizable judgement for us, he was able to turn that judgement into a secured lein on the individual's property. Ms. Williamson was quick to respond to my calls (within a day), which is far faster than other attorneys I've hired in the past. Additionally, she was frank about realities in potential outcomes in the matter and only encouraged the courses of action that were likely to be resolved in a favorable way. She also charged very fairly, not drawing the process out and even advising against work that I could have paid her for but which she felt was unnecessary and might be a potential hardship for my family financially. Many in the law field are cavalier about taking a client's money without it always being the best path for the client, and Ms. Williamson did not do that. In short, she's ethical. And she's also tough and smart. I would encourage anyone with a legal need to call her. I believe her consultations are still free, and she will only take your case or matter up if she's a good person for the particular job.

Vernon has been absolutely amazing. A year and half after I had been injured at work and after receiving medical treatment, it was time to start the settlement process. When I contacted Passenant & Shearin Law I was trying to do division of martial property process on my own due to financial issues after a very difficult divorce.
