I had known Attorney Mcgrail for a number of years, first as a fellow volunteer at a non-profit organization where I continue to appreciate and value her commitment to a worthy cause. It was in this context that I first divulged information about a stressful situation regarding an incompatible roommate who was attempting to evict me with insufficiently timed, improper notice. Since I had immediate need of legal counsel, and since Ms. Mcgrail is licensed to practice in Maryland as well as Washington, D.C., she offered to help. Her advice was sound and given the fact that she does not specialize in cases of this nature, I was impressed with the versatility of both her knowledge and skills. Even in the most emotionally wrought moments of my dilemma, she was calm, professional, and at the same time, compassionate. Her advice was sound; decisions not to take action were just as effective as the actions she did take. She reviewed letters and forms I submitted and was instrumental in resolving the case without going to court. Telephone calls were returned promptly. One thing that impressed me the most was her response to detailed voicemail. On a day in which my situation changed dramatically over the course of a couple of hours, I called twice, once to ask Mary Ann Mcgrail to place a call on my behalf, and then, later, to request that she not place that call. Because she listened to all her messages before taking action, I was able to avoid a potentially difficult turn of events. I managed to make peace with my roommate until I had sufficient time to find a more suitable, new home. I remain grateful and urge you to consider hiring Ms. Mcgrail.

Rachel has been a friend for years but I haven't engaged her until recently for legal. As our newer company was growing we started to run into issues with some of our representatives and non-compete agreements which shouldn't have been an issue in the first place (in my opinion, of course). She offered what I truly believe is a white glove service and took care of everything A to Z while keeping me apprised of the progress.

My business partner failed to do his work well and our company was bankrupt. Instead of helping resolve the problem, he used a clause in our agreement to take control of the company. That's when I hired Theodore Allison. I have known Jack Wuerker since 1998 when we met at his practice, Wuerker & Triarhos, to work on a plan to distribute stock in our small corporation to key employees. This effort resulted in an equitable and satisfactory distribution of stock, a shareholders agreement and a shareholders management agreement. Although this process took several months to work through, we were quite pleased with the results and I decided to refer all of our legal work to Jack.

Jack Wuerker understands the big picture. It is not enough to understand you. He makes it his business to understand the opposing counsel and the counsel's client. Jack assidously does his homework. He is prepared whether it is a client meeting, a deposition, a trial or any form of client support. I have never seen Jack surprised by the argument of an opposing counsel. He always comes prepared. Quite simply – I feel lucky to have met Roy and have had him on my side. I was facing a complicated and emotionally charged situation – something that was challenging on many levels. From the moment he took on the case Roy gave me the confidence to believe I was doing the right thing in pursuing my case and that I had the right person to guide and support me. Importantly, he treated me like a person throughout rather than a faceless case. He was entirely professional but also offered guidance, reassurance and much needed lightness at the right times – so what could have been hard and cold felt human.

Dorene represented me when I had to go to court to evict a tenant. I am just an individual landlord, and don't have some massive company or anything, so for me this was a somewhat emotional process. Dorene knew the ins and outs of landlord/tenant law in DC, and really made me relieved to have her on my side! She was very responsive and made me extremely confident that she knew exactly what she was doing. Also, since she does this a lot she knows the reputation of the various judges, mediators, etc and knows a lot of the people you will deal with in the courthouse. Also, I found her services to be affordable for me and she doesn't nickel and dime you for every question (phew!). Mr. Sergey Basyuk showed total interest in my case since day 1. He was the third immigration lawyer my husband and I interviewed and definitely our best option. He made sure that he had the complete information about us and understood our priorities, needs and life cycle at that time, which helped a lot to guide us to our right path, as each case is different.
The whole process was clearly explained to us step by step. That helped us a lot and made us feel relax. Also, he was always available for us in person, on the phone, on e-mails to answer any doubt with the best attitude.
My husband and I were so busy at that time with our own jobs, the move to the U.S., the wedding, and so on, that we blindly trusted Mr. Basyuk and let him lead the way. It worked smoothly and simple. I am sure that if we had done this by ourselves we would have been stressed and would have taken longer as it is a process that requires tons of original documents, affidavits, deadlines, application forms, different payments as the process goes along, and so on.
