James Cordes provided terrible advice. His drafting was sloppy and required extensive redrafting by opposing counsel, and he advised me to take a terrible deal. Because of James, I am taking home a fraction of my income. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize how bad it was until firing him and employing new counsel. He is a nice man, but a bad lawyer. I wish I had gotten a second opinion before it was too late.

We hired Lester Nieves to represent a very complex criminal case. I completely trust him to represent who we hired him for. He definitely knows the law and your rights . Grant was beyond helpful with my son’s ticket he received as a result of an accident while he was on vacation in Colorado. I called Grant based on a referral from a trusted source, and WOW!!! One of the best referrals I have ever received. He is very quick to respond to questions, concerns and is so amazing to work with. We had to get the ticket resolved in a timely manner due to my son’s commitment to leave for basic training 4 days after the required court date. He made it happen and was even able to get it reduced with less points and a lower fine and virtual appearance for my son. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND him!!!

If you want to win your case…look further. I hired Pete McGuire to handle my work comp injury case and it was a nightmare. He didn’t keep me up to date. For example, I took all my court documents to Mexico thinking I was having a virtual hearing when it was canceled. I had a good case, but hardly got anything back. He didn’t listen to me or what I wanted from the case. Terrible experience. Not very knowledgeable on work comp stuff.

Divorce is not fun for anyone. It's particularly hard when people get unpleasant and can't cooperate with each other. This is why I love Terri's approach. She's very focused on an approach where conflict and nastiness are avoided in favor of collaboration and cooperation. I have felt like my needs were met as I have worked through this process - Terri has made herself available to me as I needed support or had questions. I've always walked away from our interactions with a clear understanding of what I needed to do to make sure I was taken care of while still maintaining that sense of collaboration. Terri was recommend to me by a friend and she was very supported through the process of reviewing the premarital documents for my upcoming marriage. It was also in a short timeframe that we had to complete the documents. I am a retired women and she was able to explain the details and made me feel like I did come to the table with a stake in the relationship. Katherine Reckman represented me in my divorce and she was very fair and steadfast through my proceedings. My ex husband chose very inept representative which derailed his case. In the end, he trusted Katherine to write up our agreement which he eventually signed. Divorce is ugly and stressful and in Colorado, you need someone who can negotiate with the other side to keep the cost down. Katherine did that and was able to do it with empathy. Highly recommended.

Harris Law Firm has done a wonderful job on my divorce. I would like to thank Kim Gent and her paralegal Maureen McAllister for all the hard work they have done. Dealing with the back and forth with the petitioner and their attorney and really paying attention and handling the responses from the petitioner, her attorney. I was really glad that Kim and Maureen got them to settle out of court to where we wouldn't have to make an appearance. I am still working with Kim and Maureen because there are some other things the petitioner still has to sign and get notarized. I like that they still want to help until every little things are completely done. Even though the divorce is over and I don't want to have any contact with the petitioner, and they understand that. Kim and Maureen have always listened to me and gave their opinion and figure out our strategy on how to approach the situation. In the beginning it felt like this firm truly had my children's best interest at heart. My case played out for over 3 years. After "winning" at trial with further litigation to take place, I was struck with an uneasy feeling. I felt bullied into a settlement as the attorneys were fed up with my case. Many people had told me over the duration of my case that things weren't quite adding up and that my attorney did not seem to have our best interests at heart. I began to reflect on the case and all the inconsistencies, placating to the other side and capitulating to them as well. I then conferred with another attorney and ended up retaining her services to finish out my case. Upon the new attorney's review of my case, she stated this case was a mess, and she was flabbergasted at all the litigation that was allowed to take place. She mentioned there was a much more direct way to have gone about this case, less money and time wasted, not to mention my children's mental and emotional health. My worst feelings had been confirmed. It is a relief to finally have someone on my case who is truly for the children and not the money.

They used to be Cantafio and Hammond. Their employment lawyer Christine Breen took my case, when I was at my lowest, just let go after years of workplace bullying, and recently retaliated against for whistleblowing, and contemplating suing my employer. She promised to help, but then was MIA and refused to return calls. Yet she charged $2000 doing work no one asked her to do, as I already signed a severance agreement not to sue. She never wrote a demand letter. Never did anything substantial, except wrote 2 emails. I had to tell her to cease and desist charging me. I had to bring this case to the bar association. She immediately called, yelling, you agreed to pay this amount. We negotiated, and she reduced it by a few hundred. I should've gone to the bar association and got her disbarred. When you are at your most vulnerable, you cannot trust these people.

Most times when you hire a defense attorney, chances are it is not for a pleasant situation. What made it a lot more enjoyable was the professionalism of this law firm! Every single staff member that I met was extremely professional and friendly.
I had the pleasure working with them for approximately one year. Anytime I emailed or called, they responded in a timely manner. They explained the whole process and answered all my questions. They are extremely knowledgeable and amazing at what they do!

I hope for the future Google Reviews can provide an option of (—) Negative starts in the mean time I’m gonna rate this little mediocre house “business” a — 9. I schedule an appointment with a month of anticipation for March 18th on the first place, mind you I create this appointment around February if not sooner around last weeks of January. I call to confirm on March 15th to my surprise a lady answers and says “we hope you called us back, we are gonna have to reschedule due the person in charge of your case is out for an audience” My initial thought was, there’s no one else that can take my case? There’s just one lawyer? Didn’t thought that much of it, they rescheduled me for today April 8th at 4pm. I call today in the early morning to confirm my appointment before I do so I found a v-m in my phone form some lady saying “please call us back as soon as you hear this” so I do, for my surprised the First Lady that answers doesn’t have any idea of how to help me, they transferred me with another person and this one tells me we are gonna have to reschedule the reschedule ONCE AGAIN! Due the lawyer taking your case is out sick.” I am beyond upset at this point, this is the second time they rescheduled me! I told the lady the that was unacceptable, she give me the option to come tomorrow and the I told her that I couldn’t be missing work, I already asked for the evening off so to please let me keep the same time and to find me another lawyer that could take care of my case. This lady proceeds to tell me “yes, let me see what I can do and I would give you a callback.” This happens at 10:23am for the rest of the day I never received a call, email, text, message , fire sign or anything from this person. So, if you are desperate, have limited funds and need assistance ASAP please AVOID THIS little piece of trash !! They would waste your time, resources, money, gas and words. Spend the extra fees in someone that actually follows direction, mean what they say and has genuine word, not this little circus. Do better , y’all playing with peoples lives and time. Shame on you and your ancestors!!!!

I highly recommend this firm, and Terri Harrington, specifically. This was the best decision I made during a very overwhelming divorce process. I hired Terri the week before my scheduled mediation, as the previous lawyer dropped the ball significantly and I had to fire him. Terri and her team were incredibly communicative (for example, I have never had to wait longer than 24 hours for a reply), empathetic, knowledgeable, and quick. Terri caught up on my case in just a few days, and she made me and my case a priority by responding to emails swiftly, walking me through the process and what to expect, and being clear on what was needed from me, and what their role was. I just recently referred Terri and team to another person, and would do it again and again.

Attorney (I feel embarrassed even calling him that) Rechard Tegtmeier frequently made excuses and exhibited a lack of diligence in handling my case. Throughout the duration of my interactions with Tegtmeier, I found his behavior to be extremely inappropriate and disrespectful. I had to tell him to withdraw and had a different attorney represent me. He consistently came across as rude and displayed a clear disdain towards individuals of color, including myself. Despite my attempts to maintain professionalism and cooperation, I could sense an underlying prejudice in his demeanor towards me.
It became evident to me, and subsequently to others in similar situations, that his representation was marred by discrimination against minority groups. I have since learned that I am not the only individual who has felt marginalized and mistreated by Tegtmeier's actions.
