For all those parents that have multiple marriages and want to make sure their own blood children are treated fairly through Probate STAY CLEAR of using this attorney firm.
My Dad died June 15th, Father’s Day. He was married to his 3rd wife. My Dad has two BLOOD children, myself and my brother. His 3rd wife has two daughters. My Dad’s second wife had three boys. Unfortunately, my dad’s second wife was murdered on a business trip in Mexico.
WHAT A MESS… BUT IS TYPICAL OF TODAY'S FAMILY MAKE-UP!!! You cannot imagine the emotional trauma that my brother and I experienced being raised with other families we did not know. I’ve always wondered why society does not mention the mental anguish that the original blood children are exposed to when you blend all these families together.
My Dad’s estate is large, and my brother and I had concerns on how he would handle the inheritance upon his death due to all these multiple blended families. My Dad was an executive for a large lighting company and was a very hard worker, always working. My Dad and I were very close. He worked up and until his death at 86 years old. I always asked him why he worked so hard. He laughed and stated, “building up your inheritance son”. “When I leave this earth you and Randy should never have to work.” I can at least leave you with that!
So, from time to time, I confronted my dad and asked him what happens with the estate when you die. It is very hard to ask a parent that but again this is the mental anguish the original blood children go through when they are exposed to blended families. He ALWAYS stated son upon my death contact McCurdy & Candler and speak to this specific attorney and he will guide you and your brother through the probate. Upon his death we did contact McCurdy & Candler and found that the original attorney had retired. So, they handed my dad’s probate to one of the principles of the firm.
My brother and I did get a copy of the Will and upon reviewing it found that there was nothing left for my brother and I. In speaking to the newly appointed attorney he saw that my brother and I were distraught, so he offered to advise my brother that he knew of an agreement between my Dad’s 3rd wife and my Dad about my brother and I’s inheritance.
Once we started pushing him on what this agreement was, he backed off and then decided to stop all communication with my brother and I. And now he has demanded that my stepmother, Dad’s 3rd wife, stop communicating with my brother and I regarding my dad’s probate. This attorney will not provide my dad’s own blood children with statues of this probate. His last correspondence to me with my dad’s 3rd wife copied. In part his email stated:
Mr. Darnell,
I have asked Mrs. XXXXXXX not to reply directly on matters related to the probate.
I can assure you that my dad did not hire McCurdy & Candler solely to represent his 3rd wife! WE ARE HIS BLOOD CHILDREN. My Dad is turning in his grave right now!!! How dare this firm exclude my dad’s first born and blood children through this very emotional time.
Instead of alienating his blood children this firm should be embracing the entire family and keeping all of us informed. If anyone understands probate, there is much information that must be learned to go through probate. It has now been 8 months since my dad’s death. NO PROBATE
BEWARE…PARENTS that have multiple marriages with BLENDED families DO NOT engage this firm to handle your estate and more importantly your probate. THEY WILL NOT PROTECT YOUR BLOOD CHILDREN!!!! This was not the intention of my dad or he would never have continuously asked my brother and I to contact this firm for information about this estate.

I had a disastrous experience with Alice Pak and Kate Lee on a PERM case. After 2 years, they claimed my case "disappeared" with no records. Emails show they provided false updates, blaming government delays, when in fact they never submitted my case.
Two colleagues experienced identical issues. No satisfactory explanations were provided, raising concerns of negligence or potential fraud.

Franklin T Gaddy has by far been the most professional lawyer we have dealt with. He communicates well and informs us of every new step taken within our child custody case.

.I'd give them 0 stars but they don't give that option . Father and son tulley Spencer and Ed both. The father not so much as the son ..I am sure my constitution reads the same as theirs . I am sure the laws of this land that I have read didn't say That if you are appointed a l awyer by a court due to the inability to afford one. You will not be represented to the best of their ability.Even worse for a paying client. If you receive the same collective representation as .my son .who had evidence to prove he was innocent . Was told by the appointed attorney the son tully we not gone fool with that . I believe my constitution calls that as a crime .Daddy tulley reiterates the nonuse iof evidence by informing my son If his son put him on the stand I.defense of himself and he was on the jury looking at his past history an his face tat he would vote him guilty anyway. This was the first conversation these men had with my son .my question to daddy tully is this isn't UT your son's job to be smart enough to see your prejudice ass coming and not pick you for my son's jury. ? My question toyour son is this . If daddy has to hold your hand would he be able to when you are held responsible for misconduct .if you don't know how to obtain body cam evidencebor it walked away somehow do you know how to have the officers appear themselves give first hand account cause 3 of them said my son your client was innocent . Yet here we are you allowed my son to be sentenced to 8 years in a federal pen . After exhausting him and convincing him a guilty plus was his only way home. My constitution says you should have my son as your celll mate

Robert Greenwald was my court appointed lawyer in Gwinnett County Court Solicitors Court for a case from over two years ago. Not only did my previous lawyer didn’t show up to my court date but I was assigned to Robert Greenwald after 8 hours of waiting in the court house. I was incarcerated for 48 days, waited over 2 years for a court date, & plead into one year probation under Judge Kay Dove. I was incarcerated for 16 days second time reporting into Southeast Correction because Probation officer Alixandrea Clark Martin failed to inform me of my next reporting. I’m suppose to be getting treatment from viewpoint health for alcohol dependency & 3 psychiatric treatment. It’s been over 6 months, Viewpoint health has seen me multiple times with only one psychiatric session. I’m suppose to be in an in person outpatient substance abuse program. There isn’t any ASAM 2.1 program in Gwinnett only in Cobb County & Barrow County. I had to resign from my job of 6 months since Gwinnett County Court wasn’t clear on the status of my case. Judge Kay Dove who sentenced me isn’t available regardless of the letter & email I sent her. The court of Gwinnett is suppose to help me with my dependency on alcohol that’s why I’m on probation. Yet, Judge Kay Dove, Viewpoint Health, Southeast Correction Probation, & my court appointed lawyer Robert Greenwald aren’t any of aid in my so called “recovery”. I don’t have a job to pay my probation officer or the extensive outpatient program. I called Robert Greenwald second time in concern of how things are getting handled in Southeast Correction & Viewpoint Health & all he did was yell & be belligerent when I’m genuinely concern at how ridiculous things are. Robert Greenwald is suppose to represent me since he’s my court appointed lawyer but obviously the Court of Gwinnett isn’t concern for bettering of the citizens of the community of Gwinnett. They’re just milking each inmate for whatever money they’re worth. If I can give Gwinnett County Lawyers a negative star, I would.

I retained Mrs. Ragole as my attorney and she was a life saver! Each time I needed to speak with Mrs. Ragole I was able to get in touch with her and she generously took the time to explain the details of my case.
When we went to court she presented all the evidence clearly and effectively. There were no surprises for me, but she did catch the opposing side off guard in court, which worked in my favor! She is more than fair and doesn't take sh*t from the opposing side!
Throughout my case Mrs. Ragole was fair and honest. I knew exactly what I was paying for, had a great outcome in court, and would definitely recommend her to anyone in the future! She is DEFINITELY WORTH IT if you are having legal troubles!

This attorney with no office address other than her car charged me $13,000
for an uncontested divorce involving no children....no real estate....no monies....no pensions....
no automobiles....no nothing.....not even dogs, pets or rabbits. My wife's attorney was $1500.
If that isn't enough...she called me 30 days after the divorce and said..."guess what"? I could only guess.
I found another $2000 in billable hours I forgot to charge you.

I hired her in my case and she legally misled me to believe something that wasn't true, I emailed her law firmed multiple times and got NO response, I called continuously after receiving a drawn up court order from her law firm that was wrong and got no type of communication. Then after the drawn up court order was used against me I decided to terminate her services. I requested my billable hours and she had in fact charged me for the calls that I made, the wrong drawn up court order, and even the FREE consultation. I didn't receive the drawn up court order for a little over 3 weeks after the court appearance. She says that I called multiple times but left no message (which is true). She had no rebuttal for the court order being drawn up super late or that it was wrong neither did she have a rebuttal for the multiple emails I sent that were ignored, but I was charged for them reviewing them. Bates Law Firm put me in a impossible situation and took no accountability after causing so much unnecessary confusion and drama. She made my case about her own personal situation. This Law Firm should not be trusted. Don't walk, RUN far away.

I had a few issues with the receptionist and not understanding a few things, but the lawyer did do something very unexpected that she surprised me. Ms. White has a very difficult job. At the end of the day at least half of a party will not be happy with her because she has to make a decision about her client, your child, and decide which home is best for them. I found her to be absolutely incredible, very fare, extremely direct, and a pleasure to work with. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone needing a fare and balanced GAL.

If you are not the one whom is paying her please do not choose her. I was young and very nieve. child custody cases are very sensative and triggering and she'll take full advantage of this. she'll make you comfortable with confiding in her telling your story only for the purpose of you choosing her as your Gal and will then become very bias and intentionally try to prove the points of the paying party. If you are the paying party she's absolutely great at siding with anything and everything you claim and will work over time to do so. For single mothers living in low income areas please do not pick this women. she'll bring up a case where a mother thats "less fortunate" won to make you feel comfortable tell you how finances don't play a part in the case then she will indeed use your financial state against you and even things happening In your neighborhood that has absolutely nothing to do with you. she'll offer you legal advice to make it seem like she "helping you" only to then turn against you in court. she lacks intuition and foresight greatly and will project what ever she's personally went through and her previous cases on to you. You will indeed input loosing your child while she convinces herself and the courts that that is "what's best" her opinion "what's best" boils down to who financially has more money. I had hope and faith in her hearing my story and using her intuition and skills to see what's happening and actually speak the truth the absolute total opposite happen and its saddens my heart to even have to write this. save yourself and your relationship with your child and do not choose this women if you are not paying.

They have HIGH turnover and the partners must have inability to monitor their inability to perform because DUE TO LACK OF BEING EFFICIENT..they failed to stay on point with my court needs..lost and 4 months later didnt have the courage to conference nor advise me. Contacted and spoke to Rebecca Sczepanski a month ago regarding work about ERISA law. Initial communication was good, but I have not heard or received any updates for a month now. Zero follow-up about progress of work just a simple “I’ll get back to you”. I ended up having to contact other sources to get my questions answered. I’ve terminated work with this firm after getting no legal advice at all and only exchange of a handful of emails. Do not recommend.

Terrible experience with inexperienced lawyers. I orginally called this firm to possibly handle my claim for probate and possible litigation. I spoke to David Burkoff who did listen to my case which involved my brothers fraudulent actions. David did seem interested and asked questions to see if he was competent in supposedly the line of expertise they handle. The next day i get an email stating in short that there was no conflict of interest but said that he would be too expensive and then he proceeded to pawn me off on one of their inexperienced lawyer Gracie Shepherd Saas. Well, she never got back to me. I also left David a message three days ago and Never heard back from them. They completely ghosted me. I can see that Gracies inexperience and unprofessional manner by ghosting me will greatly impact this unprofessional law firm. I just wonder how many other people they haven't followed up with. I'm assuming they only want easy, straight forward cases that don't require and skills other than just having a law degree. I would definitely pass on this inexperienced law firm that doesn't have the decency to even return calls nor show any professionalism.

Worse and most unprofessional group I have ever encountered. I was assigned an attorney on a auto claim for State Farm the attorney not only did not show up for court, the court was not even notified that supposedly the case was settled. I was shown in default on a accident that I was not in they served the wrong party. I received a big sorry and the attorney advised she was leaving the law firm in a week so basically nothing I can do. Beware of these folks they really are not for you can't even bother to show for a court date or tell you they are not coming !

My experience is w Jake Eby. Why would you hire someone who lies? He lied to me for 3 years about my case, vacated it in 2017 without a word having the incoming attorney settle. I got nothing and had to file bankruptcy and was homeless for 3 years.

Contacted and spoke to Rebecca Sczepanski a month ago regarding work about ERISA law. Initial communication was good, but I have not heard or received any updates for a month now. Zero follow-up about progress of work just a simple “I’ll get back to you”. I ended up having to contact other sources to get my questions answered. I’ve terminated work with this firm after getting no legal advice at all and only exchange of a handful of emails. Do not recommend.

Terrible experience with inexperienced lawyers. I orginally called this firm to possibly handle my claim for probate and possible litigation. I spoke to David Burkoff who did listen to my case which involved my brothers fraudulent actions. David did seem interested and asked questions to see if he was competent in supposedly the line of expertise they handle. The next day i get an email stating in short that there was no conflict of interest but said that he would be too expensive and then he proceeded to pawn me off on one of their inexperienced lawyer Gracie Shepherd Saas. David said that this was an area she could handle and proceeds to give me her contact info to see if this was a case she could proceed with. I usually do not write reviews, but in this case, it is important to make others aware. This review is based on my direct experience with Ms McGham. I contacted her office seeking legal advice regarding visitations ( the other party doesn't let me see my daughter). I paid the fees, and my appointment was scheduled for 2 pm. I arrived 5 minutes earlier, but the front desk said she was on a phone call. After 30 minutes, I was able to see her. She did not review the form before sending it to me; this form had information on my initial case and the parties (minors) involved. She listened to me and instructed me what to do ( roughly 30 min), and after doing so, I had to contact her again to let her know the outcome of her instructions, and based on that, she would tell me the best route. She couldn't tell me anything else, and there were no prices either. I contacted her 3 times via phone and left a voicemail. Also, I sent her several emails, but she never returned any of my calls or emails. Spoke with front desk and she assured me my emails been printed and they are on her desk.
She contacted me back almost 3 weeks later via email. And here is what I sincerely think (again, this is me, as a human and desperate mother who hasn't seen her kid in almost a year. If you come to a lawyer and explain what's happening, express this feeling of hopelessness and need as a mother to see her kids. Of course, I am willing to hire her services, but the first impression is a lack of communication (again, 3 weeks to give me an answer). Do you think this person takes her job seriously? If you come to a lawyer (who should be passionate about what she does) and that person doesn't respond promptly, clearly, that person doesn't want to help. Why should I hire you?

1) As a client of Phil Coe, I did not receive a broken down bill until after 3 months and never for the 1st month of work after repeated requests. 2) Coe did no discovery work at all on my ex 3) there were two hearings set for a final hearing. Nothing came of these hearings and I was not informed. However, I was charged exorbitant fees for the extensions - dragging out what was a painful case that could have easily ended while piling up fees 4) Coe advised me to drop a violence suit in lieu of a permanent order that would be rolled into a divorce so I wouldn’t have to return for protection each year. This was even settled out of court. I trusted it would offer protection; however, when my ex broke this order and I called the police, there was nothing filed for them to see that would offer me any kind of protection. My new attorney who ended up helping me end my case stated that Coe’s advised civil order was a mere ‘promise to be nice’ and completely unenforceable. I had to then return to court to get a formal order of protection. I had asked to focus on the divorce throughout. 5) much of the stalking I faced was technological. An officer and my new attorney stated much should have been followed up on that was not. Coe did nothing but charge me outrageous fees to look at the new evidence but did nothing to enforce the order to offer any kind of protection, even when my ex’s phone was still shown monitoring my daughter’s phone via her iMessage. 6) knowing the legal expenses of the stalking and harassment, and not having shared these with me, Coe only asked 1000 of my ex, leaving me with a bill over 10K for protection and postponed final hearings when I sought his services to be safe. No victim should ever have to suffer financially as a result of abuse.

I hired Mr. Coe to help me get more parenting time with my son because my ex-wife was being difficult. After 2 years before finally scheduling a Hearing, and approximately $20k paid to him in fees, he was disqualified from the case for Conflict of Interest. He hired a Paralegal that he knew previously worked for my ex-wife's previous attorney. He did not take appropriate action, per the State Bar, to protect me or my case by not notifying me, or the other Council by written notice. This paralegal had access to my case files as she admitted to printing all my files. This Paralegal also had a friendship relationship with my ex-wife. During the Hearing for the Disqualification, the Paralegal admitted to sharing hundreds of txt messages with my ex-wife. Under duress, I had to quickly hire another attorney and subsequently lost my case.

This lawyer strictly follows the rules and doesn't go the extra mile to assist you. She makes big promises but fails to deliver. She couldn't make time for an important interview, even though she knew about it months in advance. Instead, she said she'd listen in by phone but didn't even bother to do that. As expected, the interview didn't go well, and I had to pay thousands more to fix the mistakes she made. Save your money and avoid this lawyer; she's only in it for the money and lacks the emotional intelligence needed for the job.

Ms. Fielder lacks integrity and that is Key for any Lawyer when dealing with people's family, personal well being etc. I had a horrible experience with her after paying her for services. Poor communication with keeping me informed. Never returned phone calls/emails. Therefore when we arrived for court she couldnt even answer the judges questions!It was embarrasing!Not to mention she was late and forgot to file documents with the court! I paid a large amount of money as a retainer fee and she took advantage of my personal situation. Im not sure how much experience this woman has but Id say she could use about 20 more years and a few classes in humility.. DO NOT HIRE HER. When I decided to hire her I based my decision on the reviews on this site which I now know were probaly wirtten by Carrie Fiedler herself. I would hate for anyone else hoping for a good attorney to make the same mistake I did. TRUST ME! KEEP LOOKING!

Extreme collusion with opposing attorney. Deliberately delayed court proceedings by dealings with other attorney to not produce discovery. However, if you are up against her remember one thing, SHE WILL NOT GO TO TRIAL. My opposing spouse found this out and used it against us to force a settlement not in my favor!!

I've seen my fair share of useless lawyers over the years, who do little to no work and add zero value. But never have I seen such utter incompetence whereby the lawyer tells you "court is Feb 12" and then texts you January 4 asking "where are you, court starts in an hour"?
If you can't handle simple administrative tasks AND cannot do simple law, you should not be a lawyer. You should also face the consequences of this.

I retained Ms. Brown for my custody case in Cherokee County. At first all seemed well, she presented herself as well educated in the law and eager to help me win my case. Unfortunately, that lasted about midway into my first hearing. She pleaded with me to "trust her like a maternal figure"and shorten my court ordered time because it would be a temporary change. Reluctantly, I agreed and the Judge ordered us to go to mediation and come back within 6 months. Well 10 months later, there's been no mediation scheduled, multiple unanswered calls/emails, blatant contempt actions from the Defendant and nothing has changed. I attempted to schedule numerous meetings with Ms. Brown and was told " I should just give up and do what my child's mother says". She then filed a motion to be dismissed from the case and told me to not contact her. Ms. Brown was misleading, unprofessional and displayed an enormous amount of indecorous behavior. I DO NOT recommend her at all to anyone fighting for rights to be involved in their child's life.

I have had her for over a year now in a very agonizing paternity case. Not only has Teri been very caring but she has worked her butt off in my case. She is great!!!! I contacted Mr. Harris after a Hit and Run accident that left me severely injured. He was able to deal not only with the Police Department getting all of the information (available and some that was hidden) that was needed for my case and all of insurance companies, lawyers, etc.
He made the process during my recovery from surgery bearable and easy for me by being considerate, professional and always available.
Mr. Harris went over and above his responsibilities as my attorney to make sure that every option was available to me.
I hope that I would never need to , but I would hire him again in an instant.
