That won't happen to me, I said. I am not of that race, nationality, or ethnicity, and so I did not speak out. That won’t happen to me, I said, I don’t practice that religion, and so I did not speak out. That won’t happen to me, I said, I’m not of that sexual orientation, and so I did not speak out. That won’t happen to me, I said, I’m not part of that income bracket, and so I did not speak out. That won’t happen to me, I said, I don’t have that disability, and so I did not speak out. That won’t happen to me, I said, until it was physically in my face, had me backed into a corner, and was spewing utter vitriol at me. That won't happen to me, I said, he'd never lay a hand on me, until one day the physical aggression caused me physical pain and injury. That won’t happen to me, I said, until thirteen months ago, when I found myself on the phone with a domestic violence hotline. That won’t happen to me, I said, until thirteen months ago, when I found myself hurriedly packing a bag and fleeing my home, and boarding an aircraft out of state, because I feared for my life and safety. Fifty years ago, when my mother and her family escaped their war-torn country with nothing but the clothes on their backs and one bag per person due to religious persecution, I never imagined that one day, fifty years into the future, that I too would one day find myself following in her footsteps, quite literally.
I never imagined that I would one day find myself fleeing my home with nothing but the clothes on my back and one small carry-on bag, and boarding a same-day aircraft bound for 1,000+ miles away, because I too feared for my life and safety. Thirteen months ago, when I found myself on the phone with a local domestic violence agency in my state, I never imagined that the proverbial door would get slammed in my face, on the basis that I earned too much money to qualify for any help or support. Since I was born and raised abroad, and with my own family still living halfway around the world, it was in that moment that I truly realized, and that it genuinely sunk in, that I was going to be completely and entirely alone in the process of escaping the cycle of violence.
In 1848, divorce was practically unheard of. Most states had fault-based divorce laws outlining the requirements and criteria permitting divorce: lunacy, adultery, desertion, or cruelty. This meant that couples could only pursue divorce IF they could prove, in a court of law, that one or the other had committed one of these offenses. However, given the laws (or lack thereof) governing women's rights and freedoms at the time, divorce was far more complex for women, as they remained at risk of being unable to regain their last names, unable to retain property acquired prior to their marriage, or unable to obtain custody of their children. These fault-based grounds are in stark contrast to the no-fault system that exists across most states today. Today, after decades of tireless advocacy, and thanks to incredible attorneys like Laurie Wasserman and Virginia Yeoman, people are no longer required to remain shackled to their spouses, and have the freedom to escape the cycle of violence. Thanks to the fabulous support of Laurie and Virginia, I've not only been able to survive, but I am slowly on my way to thriving again. The words "happiness" and "divorce" are the last two words you'd expect to see in the same sentence, but that is exactly what Virginia and Laurie have facilitated for me.
For anyone considering engaging the services of Laurie Wasserman and her team, from the bottom of my heart, I wholeheartedly recommend them and their entire office. They'll not only save your life, but they will also help re-unlock your door to freedom, health, independence, and joy again.

I honestly would not recommend this law group at all. The services were not good. The lawyer representing my case tried to get me to settle for half of what my original reward offer was supposed to be. I had to beg him four times to look back into the case to find the grammatical errors in my original offer. Before that, the lawyer just tried to discount their retainer fee and send me on my way, which left thousands of dollars on the table."

I recently had a conversation with Ms Jones, look I wouldn't call myself the brightest but I know a thing or two and from that conversation alone, I would wholeheartedly recommend Ms Jones, I was left in awe at her ability to comprehend my particular case. Her intelligence jumped right out of the phone, she is thus far and by far the brightest attorney I have encountered and I have been injured for going on 3 years so one can only imagine the multitude of lawyers I had to speak with. Trust me there are a lot of lawyers out there but Ms Jones stands out, you would do yourself a disservice not to at least talk to her . She is hands down the best attorney I have had to deal with.

After initial consultation you might say that she dropped off the face of the earth!!! I sent emails, pictures, a note telling her I didn't have access to a computer, (using phone) several other questions. After weeks of calls i finally got in touch with her and excuse #1 was her phone was down and was waiting for my info to load, OK. Next was my paperwork was put into another person's folder who had a similar case. Surely you could come up with something better than that. And #3 I called May 1st and she said she would call me right back. Not a word. Not what I call professional at all.

If I could give zero stars I would. My husband and myself had a bad experience with Marcy Block. We dealt with her for approximately 4 -5 years. We trusted her to handle our issues with our taxes. We took for granted that everything would be resolved. Recently, we received documents from the IRS that not only going into collections, but she failed to file some of our taxes from previous years. My husband had to hire a representative from Optima Taxes in order to avoid having our wages garnished. This experience has taught us a lot, and it is unfortunate that we had to endure this entire ordeal.

They are quick to take payment for service but extremely slow to do anything. Huge lack in communication and you will go weeks without hearing from them. I got back a very small tax return even with being a first time home buyer that year. I would not recommend anyone use this company for taxes. Even TurboTax is better.

After being denied assistance from another law firm I thought my case was a lost cause. After speaking with Feinberg Myers PC, they assured me this was not the case. They confirmed they would do everything possible to get my health better. From the very beginning, it felt like Feinberg Myers PC, were with me in each step, from making appointments for Physical therapy doctors, to making appointments with the best surgeons, in DC.
As time went on, not once did I feel left out, or abandoned. The most impressive action was how they were able to negotiate the health bills to significant minimum. Against all the odds, Judy and Zachary did their best to fight for reductions and came out on top.
I have recommended them in the past, and will continue on doing so. Without them, my life would not have been the same, both financially, and health.

I had a short consultation with Mr. Horwitz over the phone and briefly explained the issue. He cut me short and in a rude manner told me that he didn't practice that area of law and when I asked for referrals he asked me to "just google" it. I let him know that his own website specifically talks about the issues I was consulting about and he said he didn't know and hung up the phone.

A Miracle in Baltimore City: Our Journey to the Right Educational Support
Our story began in 2021 when we relocated from New Mexico to Baltimore City during the height of the pandemic. We were in search of educational and health services for our five-year-old daughter who is on the autism spectrum and has special needs. As physicians, balancing both the stresses of the pandemic and the complications of the educational system was a struggle. Our frustration grew when we couldn't get our daughter screened for Kindergarten through the Child Find Office, and after several disheartening interactions, we were unsure of where to turn.

A federal indictment should be soon for this office for the amount of money stolen from their clients. This office represented my wife grandfather personal injury and wrongful death case. Peter was hired in December 1996, a year after opening this firm. My wife father died from asbestos lung cancer in 2003. Sadly, the estate only saw 100k over the past 20 year and her grandfather never received the settlement money neither did she or her grandmother who are both named in his Will. To this day, this office is sending small checks to the estate but have claimed over 40 million of dollars from the companies trust funds in relations to the injuries and deaths of their clients.

She represented my children in a custody case and did not respect both mine, my ex’s, or my children’s wishes. My children were in tears after each time they saw her and were very unhappy with her approach. This layer continued to call them stupid and idiotic. DO NOT HIRE HER!
