Marc was there for my family in the darkest time in our life. Tragedy struck our family suddenly after a minor hospital procedure ended in the loss of my husband's life. Marc Breakstone provided more comfort and a peace of mind than I could have ever imagined. A little over a year ago, I was in a very serious taxi accident as a passenger- and almost 5 months pregnant. I was petrified for the health of my baby. I was completely overwhelmed with having to undergo a spinal fusion because my back was broken over several L sections. And I had an 11 month old at home that I could no longer take care of on my own. We had literally just bought a house 5 months before, and that accident literally caused my family's world to crumble. And if you are in a similar boat, you can relate- I have never felt so helpless and depressed, I needed to find a lawyer ASAP that I could trust with the well being and future security of my family. I was literally boggled of where to begin, as I have never been involved in a law suit before. And insurance contracts/ lingo/ etc was just so foreign to me. I found 4 lawyers total that I read reviews on from the internet OR was recommended by family friends. I found Marc on some Google search- and that made me a tad nervous because I am a little more "old school" than that. However, I called his office and after speaking to him directly ( which was literally about 5 min after I called, he returned my message )....I instantly felt at ease with him. There is something about his personality that is very direct, yet patient with explaining options/ the law/ advice. Marc was also willing to talk to my husband and a family friend who has legal background from another state trying to help me. So, I conservatively met with him and 3 other lawyers in person, and Marc was the only one I felt was both "down to earth" and at the same time extremely aggressive/passionate when it came to ensuring that my claim was heard properly by the parties concerned. We chose Marc to represent me, and I am SO HAPPY we did. Let me tell you this- If you want somebody that is approachable- choose Marc. If you want someone who will fight for you like he has known you for your whole life, choose Marc. And if you understand that you need someone who is that bit aggressive/confident in making his point, on your behalf, choose Marc. My husband felt that Marc would be a "lion in the ring " for us. Also, I want to add that I live in NYC...I was hit in MA during a weekend away. So I was nervous having the distance away from someone who is representing me. If by chance that is you- dont worry about it. Marc is literally so accessible. I also dont feel like I could write this review without mentioning- Christine Roberts. Marc's executive assistant is a rock star. She reflects his standards of extreme professionalism with a streak of warmth. I could keep writing about all the positive experiences I had along the way with Marc, but I will sum it up this way. A very hormonal pregnant woman, with a baby at home, was hit by a taxi and had to undergo a 7 hour spinal fusion surgery, learn how to walk again, and deal with the pain of the accident/surgery thoughout her pregnancy while accepting the fact she could no longer lift her one year old at home, bathe him, clean up after him etc. ** I am writing this review about one year from the accident and post settlement. I am still so incredibly emotional about that night and everything that happened....But I am still a bit proud that during this complete disaster and at times, what I honestly thought was depression and a breakdown mentally, I was still able to see that Marc would fight for me. And he did. And he will for you. He is just so passionate about his job...and you will come to see glimpses of his personal life that you know this is just a good guy. I look at my daughter now and I thank god for my neuro team, my OB team, and my lawyer. While my doctors really provided such wonderful physical care...Marc was really there as a rock- I let put all my anxiety on his shoulders and he delivered back a secure future. He will forever be part of our family story now.

I broke my ankle in December of 2013 eleven months after having knee replacement surgery. It was, fortunately, the other leg, but it was a bad break, in 2 areas, requiring surgery, hospitalization and a long recovery (14 weeks non weight bearing). It was awful, but the shining light in the whole ordeal was my lawyer, Ron Gluck who took care of everything from start to finish. It was clearly a case where the fault was the restaurant's where I had fallen. Ron negotiated with their insurance company on my behalf and I believe got the very best settlement for me without ever losing or compromising his integrity or mine. I felt like I was in excellent hands from the very beginning of the ordeal. It never went to court as Ron was determined to have the right thing happen in a timely way and not have this dragged out forever with me waiting for the monies he believed I should receive. I knew I was with a quality law firm...he had been recommended by more than one person and I am very glad I never looked any further. This is not something anyone wants to have happen, but when it does, it is a great feeling to know that there are lawyers you can trust to behave in admirable ways and to work to get deserved compensation.

John was recommended to me by another attorney to handle a very difficult and complicated case. We have a lending company ,our client passed away but prior to his passing he took a very large deposit on this property from one of his employees on a promise that their would be a credit for that amount and she could purchase the property , Upon her employers death she decided that the property was hers and she became a squatter unable to buy the property but decided she owned it. The woman then decided our company and myself were responsible for her loss. She sued us for fraud, conversion of the funds, unjust enrichment and anything else she and her attorney made up. Fast forward John Harkevy to the rescue. He analyzed the case and on 5 seperate actions against us won summary judgement in our favor on all 5. He then started an action for possession and back rent which we settled on favorable terms. Today is the first time I have found the courage to publicly speak/ write of the multiple sexual assaults perpetrated against me by my own primary care provider. More importantly I wish to use this platform to publicly extend my lifelong gratitude to Attorney Stanley J. Spero, esquire, for giving me my voice, the courage to hold my doctor accountable and for his role in my one goal - the revocation of my doctor/ abusers medical license and in turn the opportiny to use his medical practice to harm another individual. I say Stan returned my voice to me as the abuse had left me feeling numb, unheard and disbelieved and it was that one moment, in a public forum, he spoke everything my whole being wanted to scream- "provider sexual assault and misconduct are crimes and a betrayal of trust like no other". My twenties are long behind me but so is the shame and fear and living on the fringes of not wanting to be the" one that rocked the boat". I was extremely fortunate that I had found TELL, a website based help organization that provides support and guidance for victims of therapy abuse. They had given me Stan's name when inquiring about my options to handle the damages I sustained during therapy. Stan, took on my case, and guided me through the process every step of the way. He and his paralegal, Mayra, were always supportive and quick to answer my questions and concerns (of which I had many). Stan truly is an expert in the area of therapy abuse, he knows the system and what to expect! I had told Stan from day one that I would not sign a gag order no matter what the settlement offer. I'm sure there was much back and forth between the lawyers but in the end, Stan came through for me and we settled out of court in 13 months without signing a gag order (other than financial disclosure I am free to talk about my case). I could not ask for more. We also filed a complaint with the Board of psychology and are still waiting for the verdict. What I went through was horrific, but with Stan's help, I hope we have put a stop to another bad therapist from harming innocent victims. Stan and his staff were personal, professional, honest, detail oriented, and sensitive to what I had been through. In June of 2020, I was entering a grocery store and slipped in a puddle of water on the floor and broke my ankle. I was on vacation from California and did not know any Attorneys. A friend suggested George MacKoul in Hyannis. George had practiced in California and was very knowledgeable in both California and Massachusetts law. George really helped me with ideas to assist him in preparing my case. One suggestion was keeping a daily diary. The case took 2 years to close. George negotiated a very good settlement. I hired George to represent me in a dispute I had with a boat yard. The boatyard failed to properly winterize my boat causing damage to the engines, and the cabin. The boatyards insurance company tried to offer me a small amount of money, but once I had George on the case things changed rapidly. I ended up getting the compensation I was asking for from the insurance company, and they had to dispose of the boat themselves. I can't say enough about George and how he efficiently worked through this dispute for me. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need.

My name is Marianne I am a RN who was heading home from a 12 hr shift working in the Er I was stopped at a red light waiting to turn when I was hit head on by a truck . I had a displaced sternal fracture which kept me out of work for 3 1/2 months I had Mark represent me thru a very complicated legal process. I recently used Sweeney and Merrigan to represent me. It makes sense why this firm has such a high rating. Mark Cashman was aces. My experience with Mark at Sweeney Merrigan Law greatly exceeded my expectations. As difficult as this process has been, it could not have gone any smoother working with Mark. When I first reached out to this firm, I included a blurb about my case and Mark reached out immediately. My case was complex, but he did not dismiss it. Instead, he covered all the details with me and sent me an article that resembled my medical situation. He kept me in the loop as he consulted experts and he continued to update me for the next three years. Any time I reached out to him with a question, he responded quickly. He checked in with me every so often to discuss the case and he made sure that I felt prepared for both the deposition and the settlement meeting. This process is incredibly uneasy and it is difficult not knowing the outcome. Mark knew my case inside and out, and I always knew I could count on him. Brian understood my car accident and head injury because he's had a similar experience. It helps a lot to be represented by someone who understands more than the legal aspects of representing you. My daughter was born with a rare genetic disease in the second year of our visit to the United States. During the prenatal care, my wife was never given adequate and correct genetic counseling and never offered the proper test to identify my daughter’s problem. My daughter’s birth with this disease was a huge shock to me and my wife. Far away from our home country and all of our other family members, we knew nothing about my daughter’s disease and faced the huge challenge of caring for such a disable child, with almost no friends here… we were helpless and hopeless. We found Mr. Halstrom by chance when I searched online for legal help. He took our case when we first met. From that time on, Mr. Halstrom and the staff of Halstrom Law Offices have been not only providing all essential professional legal help for us, but also have been acting as our very reliable friends. They have been compassionate, confidential, and very respectful. They handled every single detail; collected everything essential for the case. They provided interpreters all the time for helping us understand all the details of the case; they respect every single questions we had and answered very patiently. My husband's PCP failed to diagnose my husband's lung cancer. When it was finally discovered, the cancer was advanced and considered stage IV and terminal. first of all this was a crazy case that lasted 3 years with the twists and turns that a Hollywood movie couldn't write. Greg stuck with it the whole way, thinking through strategy, checking facts, law, consulting with other lawyers to make sure the strategy was sound. always on time, easy to get ahold of, and easy to work with. most of all takes what he does very seriously, and is great in court. i would absolutely hire him again if i ever have the need.
